RPG Myth Breakers #1

Today's comic is a guest strip graciously provided by Alacrty and Bromern. Be sure to check out RPG Myth Breakers #1!

Excellent, funny stuff.

What do you think?

Where's Olan?

And you were all wondering why Olan disappeared for awhile.

Don't lurk, Share!

Have other people's talent inspire you to try new things and improve, not to tuck yourself away! =)

And It looks really good- a nice inside joke for the Inn residents.

Love the comic version of Olan

Thanks for the good reviews. Much appreciated.

The idea is to look at myths and legends that grow out of gaming and remain despite never actually being part of the rules. For example:

High dexterity mean you can automatically fight with two weapons.

If you have enough skills in "sneaking", you can move quietly in armour.

The Chain Mail bikini is better than plate on a female warrior.

As so on.

If there is a myth or legend of the game youd like us to look at, drop either Bromern or Myself a Pm or email. Doesn't matter what game system or genre; D&D, Cyberpunk, Space Opera, Western or 1e through 4e, we'd loved to hear from you. Keep it PG though.

This will in no way become a regular weekly comic here. Both Lance and I have jobs and families and this is a "when we have time" project. Loaded Dice is the star of this Inn and I look forward to it coming back at regular intervals.

Awesome!

That was sweeeeet! I loved it! I watch Mythbusters from time to time and think this captured it perfectly with a RDI twist!

Keep up the good work!

Indeed, how far? Misplaced my Arms & Equip. Guide

Wow, just wow.

Who knew Olan had Aura of Fear, and how effective it was against Demons. Hee-hee, lookit da little quasits and dretches run!!

Also took note of the Wall of Runes--nice touch.

Great concept, great execution--by the Nine Lords, what have you guys started? No doubt I'll be looking forward to the next installment when your RL permits.

Ack!

Somehow... some way... through some curse of some malicious conspiracy amongst the gods... I totally missed this when it was first posted!!!

How cruel!

How horrendous!

How utterly inexcusable!

I hereby submit myself to Alacrity and Bromern for immediate smitification (smitery? smitulation?) whilst simultaneously re-submitting and reaffirming my request/demand for a coffee maker to be installed (even if I do make green coffee). :HUMBLEHUMBLE:

Great stuff, Brom and Al! I loved it, of course! Looking forward to more of these as they come along!

P.S. I waved as you guys reached the apex of your arc over Ohio! Not sure if you were waving back or just flailing wildly.

Wowzers!

How on earth did I miss this?

Pure awesomeness dudes! Great graphics and excellent writing.
Sirs, I loved it. Didn't exactly come as a surprise you could do it, but the outcome was even better than I dared to expect.

hehe

I already have the next edition of Myth Breakers in my hands - we'll run it the next time we need a filler, or at the end of the current story arc (whichever comes first).
