Who here has heard of the MMORPG Guild Wars?

I am an avid video gamer, and always have been...strangely, that led to Dungeons and Dragons more recently in my life, rather than the other way around.

But the upcoming game I look forward to above all others, by miles upon miles, is the sequel to one of (in my opinion) the greatest MMORPGs of all time. No, not World of Warcraft, but Guild Wars.

Perhaps it will take too long to explain Guild Wars' genius to those who aren't video gamers and/or haven't already played it, but for those that aren't already stalking every fact about Guild Wars 2 (such as myself) then simply watch on youtube: "Guild Wars 2 Manifesto Trailer" to get an idea about this fantastic game.

So come on, who else knows of Guild Wars, and is pumped and ready for the sequel Arenanet is doing all in its power to perfect?

well

I had a guild in the original game, and have been awaiting GW2 for a good 2-3 years. Hope that it proves worth the wait.

GW2

Excited? I waited in line for panels for more than an hour more than once at PAX. I don't think I've been more excited about a video game since Neverwinter Nights... Although Skyrim is running pretty close behind it.

Seriously, though, given the announcement that you can be in more than one guild with the same character (they said so at PAX, even if I haven't seen it online yet), ewe should start a guild.

yes...

.. I played the original GW... kind of dropped out after the expansions... kind of looking forward the GW2 to see if it has been worth the wait...

A RDI guild sounds good...

RDI guild: The *other* DragonChat...no?

Ach, as a Guild Wars fan, I'm envious of your oppurtunity to see them at PAX. I contend myself with stalking any update online, being from Australia. :-/

If the rumours about being in multiple guilds at a time is true, I most certainly would be in a RDI guild. Besides everyone on this topic, I know at least one other person on this site who plays...or will play, Guild Wars 2.

And I'm in agreement with Rystefn; The only current game that in my mind is even close to competing with Guild Wars 2 right now (in terms of looking forward to it) is Skyrim, though in my case I'll follow that up with Mass Effect 3 after Skyrim.

GW2

Yeah, Mass Effect 3 is definitely high up on my list. Maybe they'll finally work out that not everyone in the universe is heterosexual, and that it's ok to portray that in a video game. Dragon Age should have beat that lesson home by now, I would think...

Hetro?

Yeah, I reckon the reason there are no bandits around Kirkwall is because everyone going into or out of the city is a Blood Mage...
