Perseus, that dastardly offender of Aphrodite, will be raining his tears (meteors) of anger and frustration toward the earth tonight!

...that that ginormously bright moon doesn't obscure those tears too much.

.. the moon will be full tonight so only the brightest meteors will be visible from darker locations... next year will be a good year though as the moon will be only a waning crescent on the peak night...

We had too many clouds last night. Maybe I'll see some tonight.

Wish I could have seen this. Sadly all we had here were clouds.

This is not just a one night deal, it was just the peak night. This last about a week so you have a good chance at seeing some tonight too.

actually... it lasts for anywhere from end of July through almost end of August... the peak .. or middle time just happens to be the 13th.. so there is a few good days of observing... just the full moon happens to be during that time and will hamper the best viewing days... but if your in a dark area and have clear skies... look to the NorthEast... you just might be lucky...

...caught one or two last night.... beautiful but not "peak"... Enjoyable enough but... *shrug*

the ones i saw looked like orb lightning without clouds, no atmospheric penetration. only saw two. no shooting stars for me.
