Someone should figure out how to set up a program to notify us by text message when someone updates a thread we're following. Kinda like Facebook has.

They do have the subscribe function on each thread where you will get an email when someone updates that thread. Of course you need immediate email access such as a smartphone to notify you, like I do.

Email notifications are free. To do text notifications, we'd need a text gateway - which means that we'd have to pay per text message.

The Inn is not profitable, it's a hobby. Unless and until it starts bringing in revenue, I just can't justify paying more foor cool features like this one.

We could just find a race of oopa loompa like creatures and enslave... I mean hire one of them. They have to sit on here all the time lurking. We give them a cell phone with unlimited texting and they text us every time something is posted. We'd only have to pay for the cell phone.
