Meeting Tigwyn

The companions made their way down into the Quarry. The moles laboured diligently around them, a few looking up from their work to check out the travellers, fewer still giving some courtesy greeting.

After a short time, they arrived at the singular building on the floor of the Quarry – the “office” as it had been called by the mole who had given them directions. Outside, they found Master Weldon’s wagon train, his sons tending to the lizards. They indicated that they had only arrived a short while earlier and their father was in the office with Master Tigwyn.

The door to the office was open, so the companions walked in.

“Well now,” Weldon greeted them. “Me sees y’ were able t’ rouse th’ sleepy-‘eads, hmm, Ribbon? Made good time y’ did too.” Turning to Master Tigwyn, Weldon continued, “’ere are th’ young ‘uns from th’ Abbey, me tolds y’ about, Tigwyn.”

“Hmm, yeth, I thee, I thee,” the older mole, nodded his head, as he continued to pour over various maps and diagrams on his desk. “Welcome! How ith ol’ Mathter Camber doing thethe dayth?”

OOC:Assuming you answer...
“Good to hear!” Tigwyn replied. “Camber can be a bit crotchety in hith ol’ age, be he ith thuch a good friend of mine. It’th amathing a quickly the dayth go by.”

OOC:Assuming you ask him about the troubles they’ve faced in the past little while...
“Ah yeth, yeth,” Tigwyn agreed.

Weldon interrupted, “Master Tigwyn, me shall b’ takin’ me leave now. Need t’ unload th’ supplies and b’ off once more.”

“Yeth, yeth,” Tigwyn replied, without looking up from his work. “I wath good to thee you again, friend.”

Weldon gave a courteous bow and took his leave. “Best o’ luck t’ ye all. Sounds like ye’ll all be needed it.”

“Now, where were we,” Tigwyn continued. “Ah yeth, yeth. It’th like thith. Thith scrawny little threw, Ratrug, jutht cometh boldly into the quarry latht week. He thayth, ‘The dread owl Thadow hath returned to his rootht, and demandth tribute!’

“Of courth, we all laughed at him, cuffed him about the head, and threw him out on hith furry behind. It was hilariouth…until that night!

“The horn of the night watch woke uth from out bedth, and we ran into the quarry, expecting some vermin raiderth. What we thaw filled our heartth with dread! The monstrouth owl came out of the thky thcreeching and clawing, knocking about moleth and brickth and turning over wagonth.

“If that wathn’t horror enough, that rotten little threw was thitting atop the owlth back laughing and thcreaming profanitieth.

“The next day Ratrug cometh back, all thmiles and arrogance. At first we want to kill him, but he warnth uth that if he doethn’t return to his master, Thadow, with a fat bag of gold the owl will come again. Not knowing what elth to do, we give the puke hith gold and thend him on his way.

“I thent thix of my betht moleth to Thadow’s Rootht…but none returned. They muths have made a nyth thupper for that fat owl.

“Now he threatenth to come back every new week for another bag of gold, and what can we do but comply?”

“Will you help uth?”

Things do not add up

“Well now,” Weldon greeted them. “Me sees y’ were able t’ rouse th’ sleepy-‘eads, hmm, Ribbon? Made good time y’ did too.” Turning to Master Tigwyn, Weldon continued, “’ere are th’ young ‘uns from th’ Abbey, me tolds y’ about, Tigwyn.”
Violet rubbed the back of her neck, "I'm sorry." She murmured sheepishly, even if it went unheard. Force of habit.

“Hmm, yeth, I thee, I thee,” the older mole, nodded his head, as he continued to pour over various maps and diagrams on his desk. “Welcome! How ith ol’ Mathter Camber doing thethe dayth?”
"He's doing well." Violet replied, "Still can seem, well, cranky at times, but I think that's just how he makes sure that he's being heard."

“Good to hear!” Tigwyn replied. “Camber can be a bit crotchety in hith ol’ age, be he ith thuch a good friend of mine. It’th amathing a quickly the dayth go by.”
Violet nodded, "Time flies when you're busy." she gave a smile, idly wondering what would happen if somebeast were to fly faster than time, before dismissing the fantasy. "We were told that there was something going on over here at the quarry..."

“Ah yeth, yeth [...] Will you help uth?”
Violet nodded, but she frowned. It wasn't out of a desire not to help, but rather at what she just heard. She rubbed a paw at her cheek, "Let me get this straight. Some vermin of a beast made a demand, and when it was not met, then the owl appears? Is anyone else bothered by this?"

((Presuming some confusion on what exactly is bothering her))

"Well, I talked with Machin before we left, and asked him about the stories. He told me they were pretty vague now, being from many many seasons ago. But he did tell me about another owl he knew. He mentioned that they are majestic creatures. So then, why would such a creature assist a vermin that they could easily consider below them? Payment? What would a bird need of our money?" Vi rubbed at her forehead. The specific emphasis she places on 'bird' is, as the others would recognize, in a sort of respect.

"I think... we might want to try and find out what it is that's going on." Violet mused.

playing catch up....

Fenir's mood improved more over as they travelled. the beauty of the hilled and sharp geology was stunningly impressive. Fenir made a note to look for several large shards of quartz on the next trip through the hills, not wanting to stop in the middle of the trail an halt the precession. though they often had to slow and ride single file they seemed to me making decent time.

Fenir was both impressed and disheartened to see the gaping maw of void in the surrounding countryside which was the mole mining quarry. the sense of height an scale of the mining seemed immense as the moles looked like busy industrialized ants in their hill. As they descended Fenir nodded an smiled at many of the workers who paused in their toil and greeted them before beginning their work once more.

Ribbon asked one of the passing mole where they might find Foreman Tigwyn.

“Hrmm,” the miner replied. “Likely down in ‘is office down at th’ bottom there. Th’ only building down there. Ye can’t miss it.”

The door to the office was open, so the companions walked in.

Fenir smiled as master Weldon greeted them, as they conversed Fenir couldn't help but feel drawn to study the maps before Tigwyn. catching himself looming over the desk and smaller statured mole in his eagerness to soak in the details of the maps on the desk.

Master weldon took his leave an Tigwyn related his tale. Fenir listened in detail pulling himself from the maps. Fenir tried to keep from grinning like a fool as the little mole's lysp seemed unduly humorous accounting such dire circumstances.

“I thent thix of my betht moleth to Thadow’s Rootht…but none returned. They muths have made a nyth thupper for that fat owl.

“Now he threatenth to come back every new week for another bag of gold, and what can we do but comply?”

“Will you help uth?”

Fenir's brow furrowed and he crossed his arms an cupped his chin in contemplation.

Violet was the first to speak up "Let me get this straight. Some vermin of a beast made a demand, and when it was not met, then the owl appears? Is anyone else bothered by this?"
Fenir arched a brow and looked at the tiny squirl. "seems straight forward to me, vi?" Fenir grumbled waiting for vi's further explanation.

Fenir smiled at vi. "an this is why I'm glad we have you vi. brains over all our testosterone fueled brawn."

Was waiting to see if Bodkin has input, but guess backposting can work

Violet rubbed the back of her head in slight embarrassment, "Well, how does this sound? Asher and I could try to sneak up on Shadow's Roost. That way we can find out if he is actually there, or if it's a false trail, and I can try to map the pathway. If we're lucky we may be able to find out more."

Vi paused, "Does anybeast know Ratrug? I mean, more than what you've already told us? It's not really like a vermin to appear out of nowhere..."

Suddenly getting a thought, Violet looked at Fenrir and Ribbon, "If it goes in weekly cycles, they should appear again soon. I think we should try to have some sort of safe place for the workers. If the attackers target the wagons, we could reduce injuries by leaving the wagons empty. Another option as well would be to set up volunteer groups of slingers. If we can knock Ratrug off of the owl, well, then he doesn't have an owl directly protecting him, and more importantly, they become separated."

"As weird as it sounds, I'm hoping we can just talk to the owl directly." Vi admitted, "Ratrug's intent, well that's been shown. Vermin just wants money and infamy. That of the owl... we don't know. We don't know anything about the owl."

Hoping to revive this...

The mole looked up from his work at Vi, "Jutht to be clear, I think thith Ragrug ith Thadow'th little errand runner. That little threw would never be able to command an host of vermin, let alone Thadow."

Turning back to the maps and diagrams in front of him, Tigwyn continued, "No, thith ith the work of Thadow, I'm convinced of that much. Now, why the beatht needth the gold, I can't thay... maybe he hopeth to raithe a hotht himthelf."

When Vi mentions the idea of scout out Shadow's Roost, Tigwym looks up from his work again, "Yeth, yeth... that would be motht appreciated, indeed. Indeed, yeth, quite the reathon I thent the call down to the Abby. Need thome brave thoulth to invethtigate thith matter. Immediately, if poththible. 'No time like the now,' we like to thay."

"No need for a map. I got one right..." Tigwyn shifts some papers around before finding a map of the area and handing it to Vi. "Here. Here you go. Lead you thraight there indeed."

"No need to worry about uth here," Tigwyn continued, his eyes back on his work. "We're already figuring out how to keep folkth thafe. No one uth can afford to meet Thadow'th demandth, though, for long. Two weekth, maybe, before the gold runth out. And, the Abby and area can't afford for uth to abandon the quarry."

Tigwyn shook his head grimly, "No, no... we need you to help uth retholve thith quickly."

No time like the present

"Thank you!" Violet replied as she was given the map. She quickly looked it over, trying to find out if there was alternate paths to the roost that could be taken. On the one hand there could be an escape route for the shrew, and on the other, if the main path was guarded or watched, using another path might give them an advantage.

"Well let's get started." Violet nodded to herself, "If we're lucky we'll be able to deal with one at a time, but I'm not overly hopeful about that."

When they move out, Violet will take point, keeping a lookout both ahead and above. She knows that the moles that came before were either defeated at the roost or intercepted along the way, so she's going to try to be careful about their approach.

And they're off once more!

The companions decided to see if they could scout out Shadow’s Roost and get a sense of what they would be up against. Consulting Tigwyn’s map, the group had a sense of where the roost would be, but there didn’t appear to be any clear paths, direct or indirect.

Setting out from the Quarry, the terrain is, at first, rocky and broken. Soon enough, though, the dark and tangled trees and vegetation that cover the valleys of the Murkenhill closed in. Asher and Violet moved into the trees, scurrying through the tangled web of branches. Meanwhile, Fenir and Ribbon pressed along through the underbrush, the larger badger creating an easy path for the smaller mouse to follow.

After a long and steady march northwest, the group emerges into a clearing from the southeast side. A ring of large boulders rises naturally near the center, surrounding a small spring. Water bubbles clean and clear, creating a small pool before overflowing and trailing out to the southwest in a small stream.

Ribbon squeals in delight, “Come on, Fenir, I’ll race you. I bet the water’s delicious.” The mouse takes off running to the spring.

Even as the impetuous mouse runs into the clearing, her companions feel the hairs on their necks rise. Something’s not right.
Scanning the tree lines, the scouts and warrior find the cause. Weasels...
Violet, from her own perch, sees a weasel in a tree to the northeast. The beast’s arrow is already notched, and the creature seems to be trying to locate any companions of Ribbon. So, far, the weasel does not seem to notice Violet.

Asher, from his perch, sees two weasels standing within the shadows of some trees to the north. They had spears in hand and are watching the mouse, seemingly waiting to spring a trap. They do not seem to have noticed Asher.

Fenir, from the ground, spots a weasel sitting in a tree to the northwest. An arrow is notched in the beast’s bow and the creature seems to be lining up its shot on Ribbon.

OOC: A couple of notes:

1. Each of the character only notices the weasel (s) listed for them. So, Fenir only notices the one weasel sighting Ribbon... and so on.

2. Each of you passed your notice and stealth checks.

3.
Astrid, you have a number of options for Fenir, but one of them is to rush out and try to shield Ribbon from an oncoming arrow. It does mean that if the arrow would normal hit Ribbon, it will hit Fenir automatically. You definitely do not have to take this action... there’s lot of other actions you might take, that may help Ribbon defend herself. This one merely guarantees that if she would get hit, she doesn’t – Fenir does.

Enjoy!

Whoops I thought I posted here... but I guess that was a dream

Violet was thankful for the tree cover that they came across as they made their way up the path. She was never that comfortable on the ground. Perhaps it was a good thing too, for at the clearing, the hair at the back of her neck stood on end. This was too convenient. Then she saw it. The rough looking fur of a weasel.

I guess that's more points towards that horde theory. This just got more complicated. Violet thought to herself.

There was nothing for it. If it was a scout or lookout then they'd report their position, and there was nothing said about any friendly weasels in the area (if such a thing existed). Either way, Violet couldn't let that happen. She quickly drew back Catkin, judging the distance between her and the weasel and adjusting accordingly. Without a word she let the arrow fly.

It was a bit strange for her to be so quick to attack, but given the area they were in, she was on edge as it was, and she trusted her instincts. They are what let her fly in the first place after all.

time goes by so fast ....

Fenir picked his way through the under brush. the terrain has been navigable at first but the old brambles an brush that ensnared the Murkenhill soon made Fenir wish he had room to pull his great axe an cleave a path forward. but that would be a loud ruckus an alert everyone on anything they were doing in the immediate vicinity. so grumbling he picked his way through the briers an shrubbery as quietly as a large badger can.

the third an fourth times Ribbon had stepped on his heels or on the hem of his cloak near strangling him as he stood from stooping to duck a branch out of his way. he was fighting the urge to roll the little mouse in a sleeping blanket an tie her to his back as a make shift pack.

He sighed thinking of the old abbot's chiding lectures on the virtues of patience. Fenir sighed as Ribbon trying to see past him almost got his elbow in the tiny face. Fenir paused turning to chide the mouse-ling.

Ribbon squeals in delight, “Come on, Fenir, I’ll race you. I bet the water’s delicious.” The mouse takes off running to the spring.
Fenir hissed her name grabbing for the hem of her cloak. As if the same moment he noticed the vermin in the tree arrow knocked honing in on the little mouse. Fenir grabbed a large pebble (in actuality a fair sized rock). an with time practiced aim threw it hard at the Weasel. Fenir fought hard the urge to bolt into the serine clearing after Ribbon. as if on some que Fenir caught the faint twang of Vi's bow as an arrow whistled over head.

not alone... he mused to himself. how many? his eyes scanned the tree line.

an he sighed holding back an allowing Asher an Vi to flush out the vermin.

he's stay in wait as a trump card. As much as he wanted to keep ribbon from harm, the element of a large angry badger was always a good card to have in ones hand.

Ambush - Round 1

As Ribbon raced into the clearing, she knew at once that she had made an error in judgement. The hair on her neck rose as she looked back towards her companions, wanting to warn them of the danger she felt. “Fenir...!”

As the name of her badger friend escaped her lips, she heard the telltale whoosh of the arrow a moment before it impacted her left thigh. “Eeep!” she squeaked as she tumbled and rolled into the grass.

OOC: Shim, the weasel, hits Ribbon with a 5+1 attack for 3 points of damage.

The weasel, Shim, gloated with glee, “Gotcha!” even as he notched another arrow. He was about to let it loose on his prone target when Fenir’s stone whistled through Shim’s tree cover and knocked the weasel in the head. Dazed by the impact, Shim’s fingers let loose the drawsting and the arrow sailed wide of Ribbon.

OOC: Fenir rolls a natural 6 attack for 2 points of damage.

The other weasel in the tree, Sham, spots the badger and takes aim. Violet lets out a soft breath and releases Catkin’s string a moment sooner. Her arrow races through the leaf coverage and finds its mark, thudding deep within the foul beast’s throat. Sham, clutching at the shaft, gurgles and gasps for air before tumbling out of the tree.

OOC: Violet rolls a 5 attack for 5 points of damage, ending Sham’s life.

The two weasels guarding the northern exit, Farot and Onepaw, rush out suddenly, yipping loud battle cries, eager to end the injured mouse-maid’s life. Asher, worried for Ribbon’s life, quickly lines up a shot from his shortbow, but the arrow falls short, thumping into the ground two steps in front of the oncoming weasels.

OOC: Asher rolls a 2+1 attack, but fails to hit Onepaw.

Ribbon raises herself from the ground and limps to the cover of the stone circle, hopeful the she might at least avoid another attack from his unseen assailant in the trees.

OOC: Alright, round 1 of combat finished. Some notes:
1) You all can see 3 weasels now – Shim (the one in the tree who hit Ribbon), and Farot and Onepaw (the two rushing out towards Ribbon).

2) Onepaw and Farot have both spotted Fenir and Violet (and Ribbon, of course).

3) Onepaw has also spotted Asher.

4) Shim, having been dazed by the stone, seems to only have noticed Ribbon.

5) The stones surrounding the spring will provide good, but not complete, cover for Ribbon from Shim.

6) Onepaw and Farot will be within striking distance of Ribbon by next round.

I think that is all for now.
Enjoy!

Leaving the melee peeps to Mr Might Still Be Growing Badger

Violet didn't draw breath until after she saw her arrow strike its mark. She nodded, satisfied with the result. Except there were far more weasels than she had seen. She grimaced at missing them earlier, and at the arrow striking Ribbon. Vi quickly drew another arrow, directing Catkin towards the other weasel archer.

"You hurt Ribbon. I'll go over there and make you pay if I have to." Violet muttered as she let her arrow fly.

She liked Ribbon's smile, and in some ways she thought of Ribbon like a little sister. Vi wasn't going to let them get away with hurting her.

even bears lumber (quick for his size)

The sudden sinking in Fenir's heart for the well being of Ribbon was instantly replaced with rage as his name slipped from the little mouses lips.

As much as Fenir would keep his head in battle, strategize, out think his foes'. All was forfeit as heard her squeak of pain an tumbled into the grass. with a bellowing growl of rage Fenir bolted from the path his throwing daggers in his paws he launched them with force an deadly accuracy. His great axe was in his paws as if the daggers had never been.

A movement out of the corner of his eye he saw Ribbon rise from the ground an limp to the stone circle.

Part of him was awash with relief the arrow had not been fatal an she was still able to move under her own power.

Fenir set his sights on the two weasels in front of him. he'd make them pay for hurting Ribbon...

He reminded himself in a half hearted manor that they could have information....

Round 2 -- FIGHT!

Violet muttered violent threats towards the weasel sniper as she lined up her shot. The skilled archer took the time needed, knowing that missing her target meant more opportunities for arrows to rain down on her friends. Drawing Catkin’s string back once more to her cheek, she released her arrow.

The missile sailed swift and true, embedding itself deep into the weasel’s gut. The wretched creature cried out in pain as he fell from his perch to the ground below.

OOC: Violet won the draw and managed to just hit Shim... fortunately, the arrow did maximum damage. Shim isn’t dead... but he’s out of combat, writhing in pain, and bleeding out fast.

Onepaw and Farot heard the sounds of the companion’s wail, but did not deviate from their course. From his tree perch, Asher could see the battle unfolding below: Ribbon crouched down within the circle of stones, Onepaw circling around for an entrance in, Farot looking as though he hope to just jump over the stones, Fenir converging on the group, but still a few seconds behind.

Asher tried to find some angle for a shot, but the weasels were wisely using the rock as cover. He was about to ask Violet if she had a shot, when he noticed movement below her tree. Another weasel had slipped around behind their line and was about to throw a wicked looking spear into his companions back.

“Violet!” he squeaked a warning, even as he drew back his bow. “Below you!”

Asher’s arrow launched from his bow with a twang and streaked towards the stealthy weasel. The creature had the misfortune of trying to duck out of view when he heard Asher’s warning cry, and the arrow that would have taken him in his leather armor slammed instead into his vulnerable face, the sudden impact knocking his to the forest floor.

Looking below her, Violet saw the weasel laid out on ground. She looked towards Asher to say thanks but her words were caught in her throat as she saw another weasel approaching Asher’s position!

OOC: Asher manages to take out a stealthy weasel unseen until this round, his arrow doing maximum damage as well. (bunch of lucky hot shots!)

Ribbon waited, crouched low behind the rock cover, she could hear the weasels on the other side, and tried to anticipate their attack. There were only three ways into the protective circle: the southern entrance which she had used; the eastern entrance; or going over the rocks.

Drawing Pin, the mousemaid’s rapier, Ribbon held her breath and listened carefully.

She caught the sound of Farot’s claws clamouring over the stone and pressed herself against the stone underneath where she thought he’d come over. Seeing the beast’s shadow appear against the opposite wall, Ribbon launched herself up, jabbing her rapier with a quick thrust into unprotected space between Farot’s rear paws. The blade slid sickeningly deep into Farot’s body, puncturing multiple organs along the way. The creature fell from the rocks with a surprised “eep”, eyes frozen wide as died. The momentum of Farot’s fall wrenched the blade of Ribbon’s slender fingers, leaving the mouse warrior unarmed.

OOC: Grrr... Ribbon also manages to do maximum damage to Farot, slaying the beast.

Fenir had watched Farot appear on top of the rock. The badger had seen his companion’s blade drive up into the beast’s underside, heard the creature’s shorten cry of death, and seen Ribbon’s blade fall away with the weasel. Even as he sprinted to the southern entrance of the sheltered rocks, he could see Onepaw’s head bob in from the eastern side and knew time was short for the mousemaid.

Onepaw had also seen his companion slain by the mousemaid’s blade, as he moved in from the east. He cursed their luck. Their commander had set them here and told them to ambush any moles that dared to venture this close to the roost. But these creatures were not short-sighted moles! They were well sighted squirrels and badgers and mice! He knew that if his hidden companions, who were circling around behind the intruders, didn’t take care of those blasted squirrel archers quickly, he would be lying next to Farot soon enough. He pushed the thought from his mind knowing that his fate was determined one way or the other. At least he might have the pleasure of running the lithe mouse through...

Entering into the rock shelter, Onepaw crouched low, allowing the rocks to cover him from the sniping squirrels. He found Ribbon, kneeling down, attempting to retrieve her rapier from the still form of Farot. He licked his lips as he slowly advanced on his unarmed prey. This should be easy enough... he thought, as he drew he spear back.

Ribbon looked up at the advancing foe, noting the wicked spear in the beast’s paw. She looked for an opening, a weakness, her paws trying to locate some other weapon. Subtly, her right paw closed around some loose stones near her. As the foul beast drew back the spear to strike, Ribbon tossed the stones at Onepaw’s face. The weasel turned his face away, closed his eyes for a moment to avoid the grit, laughed cruelly as he turned to attack the mouse once more. Did she honestly think that would be enough to stop me? he wondered as he opened his eyes.

But the distraction had been enough...

Enough for the barrel chested badger to bound in from the south. Assessing the situation quickly, Fenir launched himself over the kneeling Ribbon and slammed his full weight into the surprised weasel. The force sandwiched Onepaw between the rock wall and the hulking weight of the badger. The air was knocked out of the weasel, the spear falling from his paw and he crumpled to the ground, wheezing and gasping for air.

Fenir was bruised too, though the weasel had absorbed most of the kinetic energy from slamming into the rock. Looking himself over, he also noticed a small gash across his left forepaw from where Onepaw’s spear had grazed him.

OOC: Fenir knocks the wind out of Onepaw, causing the creature 3 points of damage. Fenir also sustains 2 points of damage, one from the spear grazing him, the other from slamming into the rock wall with Onepaw.

OOC: Alright, some notes:

1) Onepaw is winded, though alive. He can easily be dispatched or bound by Fenir in the following round. Though, if you leave him, he will recover within 2-3 rounds.

2) Shim is dying, in a lot of pain, and crying out loudly. Without any treatment, he’ll be dead within 3 rounds.

3) Farot is dead dead as is the weasel who was trying to sneak up on Violet.

4) There is a weasel trying to sneak up on Asher that Violet has noticed.

5) Seriously, you guys have the dice gods on your side... the number of 4-6’s you guys rolled compared to the number of 1-3’s the NPCs rolled... unbelievable!

What would you like to do next?

price of blood?

Fenir looked down at his bleeding paw. quickly clenching his fist allowing his pain to keep him in the moment . gruffly he barked at ribbon not meaning to still reeling on adrenaline.

"Are you hurt?" Fenir looked the small mouse over.

(pending ribbons reaction/reply)

Fenir turned an began to tress the unconscious Oncepaw up. their would be question for him in time.

Fenir walked outside packing half dragging once paw with his left hand ignoring the winching pain coming from the gash in his paw.

walking over with ribbon beside him he dropped oncepaw unceremoniously an pulled the small mouses rapier from the dead farot. handing it to ribbon who looked pale. Fenir spoke again his voice a deap sad timber to it.

"Clean the blade how you seen fit. wipe it on his clothes or use a cloth of your own. You've lived through your fist battle. Many can say that, yet many more can not. Yes, you have taken a life, an once taken it can not be given back. Battle makes us do things we would never do under normal circemstances given a choice. Your are a warrior now, an all that goes with it. "

Fenir leans down an kisses the small mouses cheek chastely.

" You did well Ribbon. Don't dwell, come now lets go to the others."

(pending ribbongs reaction)

Fenir hefted oncepaws body high onto his shoulder with a slight wince, causing onepaw to moan slightly as Fenir's armour pressed into the ferrets stomach.
Fenir began to walk towards the tree line where the others were.

I could have sworn I posted here... yet the proof is irrevocable. My apologies

Violet's call of thanks stuck in her throat as the rough fur of the vermin approaching under Asher caught her eye. Quickly she altered her position, bringing Catkin around and aiming down at the weasel, as she notched another arrow and let it fly.

With hope, it would hit its mark before the weasel even saw it coming, and with it, Vi would return the favour.
