Honestly, I know virtually nothing about these sorts of things, but I think even a bit of hyperspace would be a pretty good idea, seeing as there are all sorts of threats out in the Unknown Regions... whatever can get us out of a bad situation quickly and quietly, even if for such a limited period of time.

However, if the pursuer has a different advantage over speed (say toughness, sensors, arms, or a bag of tricks in general), then I won't say anything.

The pursuer is a well armed ship, and fast both sublight and in hyperdrive. However, it is a bit less armoured than some ships. The lack of a nav computer doesn't make hyperspace impossible, just a lot more difficult to do without crashing.

Aye, we will need the nav. We are built to get there fast, and come out guns blazing. to chase, rather than be chased. And you know we are gonna end up getting chased.
