I was just in chat, then got the error message that Chrome had become unresponsive. I logged out of chat in the usual way, closed Chrome and when I tried to log back in to chat I got the "Sorry, but you are logged into chat in another window already" message. I clicked the log out button, and tried to log back in, but the same message repeated again. Nothing I do at the moment seems to allow me in to chat.

I've been hit with that. Have you tried logging all the way out of the Inn? If that doesn't work, you may have to wait for yourself to idle out.

Yeah, I logged all the way out. Tried logging in with a couple different browsers as well. I'm going to try restarting, maybe there's a process still running in the background that thinks I'm logged in.

If you ever get that error, do the chat logout link.

I am finally working again on the new, improved chat - it's fully AJAX drive, no more flicker refreshes, no popup window.

It sounds a bit weird, but I'll kinda miss the old chat.

Its buggy, but its always been a part of my Inn experience. The flicker, the one or two second lag between hitting enter and your words actually posting. It was Dragon Chat that got me to actually start posting around here.

*grins* But by all means, don't let that stop you from upgrading.

Also, thank you for posting a fix for the current chat bug. I didn't know enough to help Schnozzle when it blipped on him last night.

I plan to keep a link around for the old chat, just in case someone wants to use it for novelty's sake. The same backend database tables will be used, this is just a new interface.

No worries either way from me. I've never had many problems with the current chat, aside from the occasional bug. One of which you just provided a link for.
