Hi all! I discovered this site through an ad for a game on another website. There's a lot to see here! 

I've been a roleplaying gamer since the original AD&D. I've played everything from Top Secret to Call of Cthulhu, Feng Shui to Star Trek (three versions!) to Star Wars (same!) to Deadlands. Rifts to octaNe. 

I read RPG books like others read novels. 

As I've gotten older, my gaming group has fragmented, moved, gotten married, passed away, or just stopped playing, and while some of us are able to gather online from time to time, more of my time is spent looking for good play-by-post games than actually playing in anything. 

I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone, and hopefully contributing in a meaningful way to some stories!

As you found a really good place to start here is “Pit F(r)iend's epic guide to getting started for newbies.”  That  will help you figure out how to navigate the halls of the Inn.

To meet folks in real time pop into the DragonChat where I act as the current resident bar tender. We offer our very own "Good Old Froth-n-Slosh", the stale pale ale that is so light it has the foam on the bottom.
Just grab a mug off the shelf and draw a cold frosty one.

My assistant Igor is usually lurking around if I'm not there.

He never says anything, must have something to with having his tongue cut out by his last boss, that nasty bar tender over at the Angery Orc Bar & Grill.
I'll have him put out a plate of "Lady Fingers" in your honor.

Reminds me we need to have another "Ladies Night" and restock.

Anyway the “Posting Games” are great place to get to know folks and of course the DragonChat is our favorite lounge.

I'm sort of new, too. I'm currently only in one RPG here at the moment but hopefully in January some time (that's when the GM said it would be starting), I'm going to play in another. It's called Trilogy. It follows the AD&D rules. If you're interested, look up the Forum thread. It's called 'Trilogy Restart Recruitement'. Hope to roleplay with you soon, King Moonracer!

I'd been looking for some good play-by-post games also, and I kind of found the Inn by accident.

A most fortuitous one, I might add. Lots of good folks, mods who are willing to answer even the dumbest of questions, and a lot of interesting games to follow.

Some really good ones, too! I've enjoyed being here, and I can't wait to get really moving in a SIM!

Welcome, Traveler. I am pleased that you found us. The more the merrier! As has been mentioned, feel free to ask whatever questions that pop up. I look fixable to watching you at play or even joining in! 

Keep in mind that throughout the Holidays, the Inn's activity level slows down quite a bit but it always picks up again after the Holidays end. Also, we occasionally endure attacks by mean little gremlins that cause the Inn to be unavailable for a time. Olan is usually really quick to sweep in and blast those beggars away but we Moderators need to know when they attack to rally a defense. This is usually done on our Facebook page, so look us up there too.
