Yeah they don't do anything about past rolls...

What they actually do is give you a positive dice modifier on the aging roll. Basically it negates the negative effect for that term. So if you start taking them right away then you don't suffer any aging effects... But they are expensive and you don't want to be without them

The aging rolls start at 34, but effects from aging don't normally start until much older (unless you roll like crap). And there are anagathic drugs available to stop aging completely negating the effect of the roll

I apologise everyone for having to leave early last night. Unfortunately life has a way of getting in the way of gaming sometimes.

There is the possibility that I won't be able to make it tonight. Of course I may just be a little late, or on time as well.

Hoping to be there, but of course there is the chance I may not make it.

Alacrity, I hope you (And family if applicable) get better soon. It is never fun to be ill. I'll keep you in my prayers.

My name is Jonathon Roulston, (male) I'm a Minister in the Universal Life Church, and am happily married to my wife Tina. We have 2 kids: Tyler(7), and Jasmine(3). I currently live in Exeter Ontario, and have been in Southwestern Ontario all my life.

I have been gaming since... I don't even know... 20 odd years anyway... I started on D&D 2... and moved on to 3, and 3.5... I have also played most of the Traveller games, Gamma World, Star Frontiers, Vampire, The Wheel of Time, and some home brew games.

Yeah you do get dependant... but if you are a scientist... particularly a chemist... you can make it yourself

It isn't too bad, but yeah it is expensive.

Subject: age

The characters can start quite old, but age doesn't count for much... If you can get your hands on the anagathics (the drugs to stop the aging process) you can basically stay at one age forever.

Gaining levels in game is basically the same as taking a new career term... Every 4 years you gain a new skill based on what you have been doing, and the GM determines the roll for a second skill... Then aging appropriately.

And there is the Central Supply Catalogue for gear and such.

Subject: Fuel

With it being an Antimatter ship does that mean that we have to provide the antimatter? Otherwise we have to come up with $5000/month...

And does that then mean we have an added 34 tons of space(formerly for fuel), to allocate as we choose?

I used both the main rulebook and the Mercenary book for the character I submitted.

The random Generation may mean that you don't end up with the exact character you had in mind, but that doesn't mean that the characters end up as crap

I often find that I get attached to my characters despite not being my original concept... especially if I do a long career.

Subject: Ships crew

Alacrity, depending on the size of the ship there may be minimum crew requirements... generally speaking if it is above 200 ton more than one engineer is required for example.

Subject: Ship

I'll whip up a character today and PM you what I come up with.

Just a question about the ship though.... Are we getting one of the premade ones from the book, making our own, or are you giving it to us?

And are we going to be owning it outright, still paying the mortgage on it, or is it going to be our partons?
