I think we are all ready to move on past Mandala, and get on to Woodstock.
I'll wait until tomorrow to give anyone who wants to a chance to post more here... Otherwise I'll move things along with a post tomorrow.
(if everyone posts here saying they are ready I will post tonight)

Topic: Challenge Rating Subject: ...
I already looked there and didn't find the answer.
It just said that parties with more people can take higher CRs, and parties with less take a lower CR.
And that when monsters take pc classes the CR depends on how the class effects it's existing abilities.

and I want to make sure the CR calculator I used is correct...

Shortly after finishing the meal, Fr. Konrad takes his leave of you, and heads back to Richmond.
The stable boys bring around your horses, and gear. The towns people are still going about their business.
Though still a nice day, the sky starts to fill with clouds, as you ride out of town.

Does anyone have a PDF copy of the Pathfinder core books? I've done a little looking and haven't found one yet, and I figured it would be faster to post here, than continue searching.

Does 2e? I don't recall that. But then it has been YEARS since I actually played 2e.
I guess I should pull out my old books and actually read through them again.

Tower shields are wooden. (I would hate to try and lift a steel one) But even making it out of Darkwood the check penalty would be -7 instead of -10.
If the DM would be willing to make/allow the feats then that would be one thing. But going by book rules.... IDK.
But a legionary probably would try to sneak, hide, balance, move silently, etc. with his shield.
If you will need it you aren't going to leave it behind.

It is the hollywood legion I'm thinking of. But I am thinking (it is a higher level character) of having the leadership feat so that I could work a shield wall with my followers.
I however play 3.5 and there aren't those benefits for the tower shield (as far as I know)
It has the +4 bonus, -10 check, 50% arcane, and can be used as full cover when you sacrifice your attacks.

Topic: Tower Shields Subject: Tower Shields
Has anyone ever actually used a tower shield in game?
IMO the rules the tower shield are completely unfair.
Not only do you have a penalty on your attacks, there is a maximum dexterity bonus, and a HUGE armour check penalty.
Even if you have a darkwood tower shield; the only real benefit you get is that it is 23 lb instead of 45, and the check penalty is -7 instead of -10.
I keep wanting to make a legion type character, but can't justify to myself to actually use a tower shield. :/

Topic: 3.5 rules Question Subject: 3.5 rules Question
I was thinking about weapon speeds...
Generally speaking swords are faster/easier to swing, than an axe, which is in turn easier to swing than a hammer, etc.
So in 3.5 are there any rules that take this into consideration. Say an opponent using a sword against someone using an axe, would get an attack of opportunity every third swing or something.... to account for the different weapons speeds?

Topic: The Duchy of Richmond Subject: Fr Konrad speaking
"Well met. I am Elttom and I understand you are in need of a healer. At least that is the word I received. Well you are in luck for I am that which you seek and have been sent to join you." Reaching out his hand he present his writ of introduction. "I believe this will answer some of your questions."
Fr. Konrad (as he is standing) steps forward and takes the writ.
"You are welcome to join us Elttom, though I don't know about needing a healer."
*opens the parchment and reads*
After a brief pause Fr. Konrad looks up. "It seems I have been recalled to the service of the bishop."
*he hands the writ to Tor*
"Father Elttom here is to replace me as your father's advisor; and Brother Jacob is to be your instructor in the faith. I will finish lunching with you all, then I must return to Richmond."

Just as Tor weighs down the crumpled map, two men walk through the door of the inn. On quick inspection they are dressed in the vestments of Pelor. They look about the room and recognition crossed their faces when they see your band. They walk over and introduce themselves...

Topic: The Duchy of Richmond Q&A Subject: Continuing
Hey All. I still haven't heard from Bodkin. So I put up a recruitment thread, and we will be having two new characters joining us.
Keeper of Dragons will be joining us as our replacement cleric.
And gboy will be joining as a Druid of Pelor (part of the church of Pelor where Bodkin`s and Keeper`s clerics are a part of)
Just finalizing the characters then we will be able to get back into play.
