If we kill the wolves, then any patrols or returning baddies are going to see that they are dead, and know that something is up....

Where if we leave them, then things look normal... or at least normalish.

Sorry for my absence. Work has been crazy lately.

I thought we decided to leave the wolves, and continue down the path?

Pavel votes for light. It would be easier to fight with the light, even if we do lose the ranged ability.

Pavel nods, and replies in a whisper, "Well I don't think that it is a good idea to go up there, and chance being surounded, or worse cut off. At least if we follow the ledge, we can find our way out again."
'At least in theory,' he adds under his breath.

Pavel peers further into the tunnel. "How long do you think we can go without lighting a torch?"

"Aspara did it look like the goblins were climbing the crack? Because if they are, we should consider having a look up there," Pavel whispers.

So does anyone have some aniseed? Or lacking that, have an idea of how to get by the wolves without getting bit?

Perhaps our Ranger friend could ranger the muts up?

Given the unknown situation Pavel would also go for the stealthy approach.

As such, I guess we're going in stealthy like.

"Dane why don't you keep an eye out," Pavel said to his companion.
"Aspara, I'll make you a deal. I'll help bandage you, if you help me look a little less like a pin cushion."

Pavel set his shield down gently so as not to disturb the arrow in his (left) shoulder any more than necessary.

Once everyone was bandaged up, and in 'working' order... Pavel picked up his shield again testing the weight on his injured arm.

Turning to Aspara, "Thank you. Though you don't notice it much in the heat of battle, wounds start to hurt when the heat of battle settles, and that arrow didn' tickle!"

Speaking so as to include Dane, "Shall we continue our quest, and see what goblins we can send to their Maker?"

OOC: all of that assumes that nothing attacks us while we were licking our wounds.

I was about to post that I helped Aspara, but then realized that Pavel has an arrow sticking out of one of his shoulders...

As such... which shoulder (sword or shield) has the arrow, and how difficult is it for him to move his arm? Also will he be able to continue without penalty, even after removing the arrow, and bandaging and/or packing the wound?

Nomad, I'll leave the next move to you.

I'm good to role play, or not... it is up to you.

Topic: The Lost Mine of Phandelver
Subject: Press the attack!

OOC: Sorry for the delay in posting. This week was the deadline for the paper I work at and it has been absolutely crazy!

IC: Pavel saw the newcomer take a goblin down, and then get swarmed. Though unsure about who this person was or what her intentions were towards us, she was helping us now. With only one goblin standing between Pavel and the ones attacking her, he pressed the attack to close the distance, hoping to dispatch the goblin facing him quickly

OOC: I'm not entirely sure how crits work in 5e so I'm rollng it like 3.5e...
I rolled a Nat 20. second roll nat 19
Damage roll 6 X 2 = 12+4 = 16
That should drop him...

IC: [assuming] Pavel dispatches the one goblin standing in his way, he moves forward, coming to the aid of this strange elfin warrior.

So the new elf is beside Pavel, with three goblins in front of us... With Dane off to one side (looping behind the goblins I presume)?

Seeing Dane loose his arrow and run for cover, Pavel raises his shield (sword drawn) and runs into the fray. He heads directly for the closest goblin bellowing a wordless war cry, swinging when he gets within range!

OOC: I did two rolls in case they were needed. The first I rolled a 15, and the second was a 19.

PS: My daughter got a hold of my character sheet and now it is nowhere to be found. Lano could you please send me another copy. Thank you.

I don't know if a charge/accelerated rate would be best. We don't know what is on the other side of the cave.

Personally I would rather not run head first into a large group of goblins.... or worse.

If we just do a steady advance then we should be able to see what's coming at us, and act accordingly.

Considering that we can move the entire distance in one round, I don't think that we need to bother with backtracking....

If they're going to ambush us, then they can see us already, and our intent must be clear. So even if we do backtrack and cross the stream to come up on the forested side, they will likely just shift the ambush.

I vote we just head in from where we are.

Pavel helps Oskarr secure the cart, and gets ready for the rescue ahead....

"Should we unshift a wheel so should someone come across the cart it won't be so easy to take?" Pavel asked while cutting some branches to camouflage the cart.

OOC: I'm not really expecting an answer to the question, just trying to keep some dialogue up.

Sorry, I didn't realize it was my turn to post.

Upon hearing Dane's argument, and some thought, yes he is helping search.

Pavel looked to Dane, "Dane, I understand what you are saying, but we were hired to deliver the goods to Phandelver. If we don't do that, then we don't get paid." Pavel paused for a moment.

Turning to the dwarf, "It goes against everything I've been taught to go off mission, but if Gundren was captured or hurt, would we get paid for delivery?"

Turning back to Dane, "Alright. If we can find some sign, and hide the wagon, then lets see what we can do to help Gundren out."

OOC: Pavel helps Dane out in searching. D20 = 14
and if another check is needed D20 = 14

"I agree! We have to assume they made it through... Though I find it hard to believe that they would leave the horses here blocking the road, had they made it through..." Pavel sighs.

"Either way we can't guard the wagon, and rescue them if they need the rescue. Finish the mission, and come back."

His vote cast, Pavel's eyes continued to rove waiting for his comrades vote.
