Squishiness

Well so long as it is pushed slowly it will not move fast enough to knock down anyone complety unawares... so no need to worry about that.

Besides we will assume that the imps have moved further into the vault with their celebrations.

Sound like a deal?

getting things moving

umm i made a post. not a very good one. At least i didn't think so. I wanted to move the game along. not as easy to post without some other interaction. maybe I will edit it later if I come up with something better.

:)

I'm working on getting some things cleared up via PM but hopefully will have an update this weekend. Thank you all for being patient.

Good job everyone btw... very proud of the lot of you!

Now... if we can just get our characters to show a little more teamwork.

Update?

Yes I know I promised it this weekend and then went a little AWOL on you...

Life went and got complicated.

I will try to get something up as soon as I can.

Also to let you know Steelight's character (Steelight) is going to be expelled from the school for his actions. And Steelight (the player) will be coming in with a new character who will be taking over most of the combat 'training' in the very near future.

Also I am keeping the rest of what happened in the Directors office with Zeph to myself for the moment, if Sheild Wolf wishes to disclose what happened in or out of character that is up to him... he will still be attending the school, however.

Thank you (again) for bearing with me... I'll get you moving as soon as I can I promise.

hmph

The Goblin did no such thing! You knew there would be consequences to your actions just as well as he did.

No hard feelings I hope.

Nope.

None at all. Just bear in mind... I'm coming in as a combat instructor... heh heh heh...

Though I hope you don't interpret anything that happens as me trying to get back at your character. That is absolutely not the case. No hard feelings at all. I just want to make that absolutely clear.

I look forward to the game continuing (hint... hint ... Meri? ).

heh

I'm not normally one to take things personally, so no worries there.

Besides, Zeph is meant to be a melee character eventually, and as such must learn that melee is not his strong point. I envision him getting his ass handed to him in training, and having the instructor suggest he stick to weapons that rely more on speed and agility than brute strength (reflected by gaining Weapon Finesse as 3rd level feat when he levels)

back

ALright PPL I'm back sorry had to deal with RL and it was H***. Let's just say I'm having a rough time and leave it at that. Anyways can someone please update me (Meri) I see that steelight was attacked I don't understand what made our rude little goblin attack and I don't understand what is going on with the rest of the party

Correction

Zeph never did attack Steel (not physically anyway), and as far as the game went it doesn't appear that Sintan even got a bite in.

As for the how and why, its a personality thing, part of the character, and there have been multiple explanations posted so I will not bother boring you with yet another explanation.

Agreed

The goblin didn't attack Steelight. He provoked the monk (completely in character, as was the response) and Steelight attacked the goblin. The results of the scenario (as far as we know it thus far) is that Steelight is to be expelled and I know Zeph was at least scolded harshly in Merideth's office.

I talked to Meri today. She's been really busy and hopes to get an update in this weekend.

And I (as a player) am not out of the game. I am using a different character and taking up the role of combat and tactics instructor, while Tann takes a leave of absence (for an unknown and perhaps indefinite period of time).

About the new instructor, he will provide a little bit about him self when he is introduced, but there are many details that you will have to figure out for yourselves. He has a very in depth and intricate history, but it will obviously not be readily apparent. Feel free to ask him questions, but do NOT interrupt his teaching or his class. Save the questions until after class alright?

Update

Well I managed to get the update in.

Everyone left at the school is currently scrubbing pots in the kitchen as punishment for not working as a single unit while dealing with the imp revolt. Meri has made the order that the next morning you are to report in the woods.

What will be there is unknown to any of you.

If you wish to write up your chars experiences in pot scrubbing and trying to sleep that night please do, however I want everyone's next post to end with them in the woods awaiting whatever is to come.

And please use this forum or PM's to perhaps get some coordination down. Part of what failed last time was that we had three players try to make their characters take leading roles and no one listened to the other people. Part of that was in character yes, but part of that also falls on the players heads. So... something for chars and players to work on. Situations cannot be accomplished without teamwork.

Further out of character notes... yes Steelight (the player) is wrapping up a new character who will take on a faculty role as he is more familiar with the 3.5 gaming system. That being said he is functional as a DM, and what he says goes. We will be working behind the scenes to make this work. If there are any concerns please let either (or both) of us know.

Again sorry for being so flighty... I shall try to be better (but won't make any promises in fear of them being broken).

Yeah!!

First, let me say welcome back to Tus. Sorry to hear about rl. It can be a pain sometimes.

Second, I am sad to see the Monk leave. My character was hoping to be friends with him. Steelight does well with combat. I play with him normally and am looking forward to what he has in store for us in this game. Hopefully, it is interesting.

Third, Yeah! I am glad there is another post to get us moving again. Thank you Meri! I know you have been busy. It was nice that you kept us updated though so we weren't just hanging wondering what happened.

Finally, I am looking forward to the continuation of the game. I have some plans for my character, but need interaction from the other characters. Well, I guess that is all for now. I'll be seeing ya!

:)

Glad to hear people are still excited.

Speaking of which... who do I still have with us? I know some people have kind of dropped off and I just want a small hail from those still around so I can update the members list and whatnot.

Also we might have a new member soon... Yay fresh blood! Er... I mean... Students... students.

I am still about, though I will likely be as flighty as our DM what with work and life taking up a lot of time.
