Thanks very much...

...for the kudos! I am really loving getting to do some good Star Trek RPing with my ever-talented Innmates!

Just fyi, Thorson will post again once someone has brought the pod on board, Security has things in hand to their liking, etc.

Shameless self plug: It is now my birthday. I shall allow all of you to send me one million dollars each.

You may begin.

well

I shall send you happy birthday wishes. Which cost nothing.

Also, are you not a liar? By my clock, you still have twenty minutes until your birthday.

My TARDIS needs a wink of recalibration.

Anyhoo, now it's after 12. So raspberries to you, sir!

Indeed...

...great rounds of posting, folks. As Olan, said, it definitely harkens back to the original Discovery run and I'm LOVING it! Kudos all around!

Also... Happiest of Happy Birthdays, Dunkelzahn!

Dalia

I updated Maize's roster log. It's not complete, but I'm slowly fleshing out her character for her.

Wanted something to do while waiting to post, I'm totally itching for it, this is hella fun.

Good stuff, Dox.

I'm liking the updates for Dalia... purple eyes, eh? Yum!

Also, glad you're having so much fun with this. It's nice to see folks enjoy themselves, here, and just makes everyone else enjoy it that much more when there's this level of enthusiasm. I'm constantly refreshing my screen, myself, these days, hoping for a new post to magically appear where there was none an nano-second ago.

Anyhooo... if you're really bored and looking for something to fill those long gaps between posts, you do have several more NPC slots that you could create bodies to fill. Total breakdown of the Peregrine's SCI personnel amounts to 8 people (2 officers and 6 enlisted); you've got your two officers in Horatio (CSO) and Dalia (ASO)... feel free to stub out (or completely fill out) roster entries for the remaining 6 "Sciences Specialist" NCOs as you see fit.

Edit: Speaking of posts... just tacked up some fluffiness re: the continuing academic adventures of Megan Owen.

Over Thinker Here.....

Back in Discovery I had 92 in the Security Group and I was on my way filling them in. Had about 25 of them named and about 10 outlined.

I see that as "Offline" gaming...lol.

Yum........

Wow I had to reread that post a few times to catch my little edit mistakes. It always looks different when I post it.

Confused

Respectfully, Horatio wasn't on the bridge at 735. He was running to the bridge after his injury in the labs.

Also, I thought we weren't too speak for others? Please understand, still trying to figure the nuances of this out. No offense meant.

...

Very minor timeline hiccups, we can handle. That's the entire reason we do the logbook on the Trek tools, to help keep things straight.

Whose post needs an edit to account for the time?

Now, you are 100% correct - in no case should a player EVER post dialogue or actions for another player. For that matter, it's considered to be polite check with the owner before you do so for someone else's NPC.

Eol posted dialogue for the aCSO because you were idle and we didn't want to hold the game up. To me, that was an acceptable exception - but even then, he did not post dialogue or actions for a PC (Horatio).

You see how I handle this. Even when the captain is issuing direct orders - which MUST be followed - I still use things like:

((OOC: assuming a positive response))

That allows me to finish a post without every minor interactions requiring days to post, but allows the other player the chance to interject their "own words" when they post.

hmmm

Yeah, as I re-read Tann's post, I see that he included dialogue from Horatio, but it was only words you had already spoken. In that case, he's just filling out his side of the conversation.

Now, had he put new lines in Horatio's mouth... THAT would be a problem.

Winken, Blinken...and Pod

Post up. Pod is in its bed and we can go now. Everyone still feel free to RP non-mission-critical material, backposted and time-adjusted as you desire. I'm just trying to get us to a point where we can easily transition to the escort mission at any time. Probably won't be doing another post for Thorson until it's time for the department head briefing; he'd be scanning his butt off until then in an effort to get as complete a preliminary report as possible to El Capitan.
