Whoa........

Cloaked ship with disruptors. Me thinks me smells a rat!

I hope Berk knows how to tune the shields. Those disruptors might be able to penetrate. This might be a job for Chief Petty Officer Reginald Brooks,Shield Systems Specialist.

Berk or someone should sensor read and ID ship type and class, or closest cross reference. Ships with cloaking and disruptors should narrow the choices. Tochi and Ried would know ships..Tochi the most.

Just my two cents for starting brain storming.

some facts and details...

Romulans and Klingons are both known to have cloaking technology.

Romulans and Ferengi are both known to employ disruptors (though they are not the only ones).

The unidentified vessel appears to by Kuldar in origin, though it is a noticeably older model than the rest of the ships present. The energy signatures are all wrong, however, suggesting some mishmash of technology.

The weapons are far stronger than anything we have come to expect from the Kuldar or Rytain, though the Peregrine easily outclasses this ship.

We are currently outside of phaser range, though within torpedo range.

Other questions, feel free to shoot at me, post in the Q&A, etc.

awesome

I really enjoyed seeing how a combat situation impacted the little guys. I've never really thought about how stressful that has to be!

KDF =/= klingon defence force

My first though when I saw KDF as an acronym was that we're dealing with Klingons, thankfully that's not the case. Also would I know about scanning with a anti-proton beam or doing a tachyon sweep of the area?

yep

According to the vessel's transponder, this is the KDF Stormspike, which is a Kuldarian ship.

Do you think that Berk would know about these? What do you hope to gain?

Write the character as you feel they would be. As long as you aren't Mary Sue-ing things up, we're good.

You're welcome

Well you know: 'You can observe a lot while watching.'

Note: I edited my last post just to remove the OOC to Brom.

Sorry..........

I've been a bit quiet lately. Having some computer issues. It's been taking my time in the evenings.

I've decided the best fix is to update my OS on my computers.
Spent too many nights try to get XP to work on my wife's computer. So now I've bought Windows 10 to add to three of our computers. Should try the first tomorrow on Momma Bears Vostro 1000. Then over the weekend I'll do my Inspiron E1505.

Hope to get a post of John reacting to the RED Alert on his day off and head to the Security Section to man the backup controls and direct personnel as Berk needs.

well

Eol is threatening a post, and we're hearing that Berk will be posting, too.

Haven't heard anything from Marissa or Lori, so unless I hear otherwise, I'm going to consider Lt. Lasad and Dr. Moore to be NPCs. Obviously, the second they make a peep, they are welcome back.

I'll hold a bit longer before I post again (I'd particularly like a Berk post as he has some knowledge that others won't have yet, and I'd like Tochi because duh), but if we don't see anything by, say, Mondayish, I'll likely bump things along slightly.

Coming close to wrapping up a Tochi post (finally)... hoping to have it tacked on very soon!

Sincere apologies for the delay... been hectic hereabouts recently.
