Red I could really use your help in my posting as you are way better at free form then I am. Tell you what why don't we switch positions. Rock will become an a jrlt or Ensign and you take over his LT chief security spot. Its clear your a much faster poster on this free form game then I am so the role switch makes sense.

As for changing of titles or whatever... the roster is what it is. The only edits we do are to NPCs that haven't yet been in the game. Otherwise, roster changes happen by transfers in and out - I try to avoid retcons of plot.

Ready to move along to the briefing at any time. Thorson would be busy with scans and study right up until he had to pull himself away to attend the briefing, so that pretty much has the pod covered. Science can do further scanning of their own after the briefing, during the run to the starbase. And of course Thorson will have to figure out how to get the canisters' containment restored during the trip so that we're able to drop the ship's containment field when it's time to offload the pod at the starbase.

EDIT/UPDATE: Thinking about how urgent it would be for Engineering to have to figure out how to restore full containment to the canisters within eight hours, I'm saying Thorson will need to attend by videoconference; shouldn't even waste the minutes needed to walk to and from the briefing. So good to go at any time.
