Ok Boss.........
Tann, the question is up... will the teleport negate the veil or can we apprear in veil Orc form?
Kyle, are you in to be the Black Robe? Time to let your dark side shine oh great Epic Bard! The grouping of one Black Robe leader and ten big lackies will appear rasonable.
We need to get inside quickly so our folks don't attack us as they start to appear.
The rest, are we ready to go if Tann says the veil is good?
I'll post tonight to start the action based off the our discussions here and Tann's last post. I'll give another look as who has Teleport ready and suggest the groupings and locations.
Ulthok will nod to Cor as he delivers the plan looking for Cor's approval.
We teleport and head straight to the entrance by the big orcs.
LET"S GET READY TO RUMBLE!!!!!
GAME ON!!!

oh what fun can we have?
Just arrived back from vacation, access to a computer is spotty at best.
I have been doing some lurking and still have more to do, but that will have to be later. This weekend there is family in from out of town.
But I will say this… ‘Wow’ and ‘Yes, it is time for my dark side to shine… Now where did I put that shiny black helmet?’

Oh come on, Really?
Sounds good to me, but let's make sure the spell will function after we teleport. I'm wondering if teleporting would disrupt the spells area of effect/

Well I hate to do this, ok maybe not , but the only way you’ll find the answer to the above questions is to try it. I’m not going to tell if it works or not where is the danger in that. Uncertainty makes the game fun

The Plan
Well, I say we go for it. While all DMs are different, there is nothing in the books stating that a teleport spell will interrupt other spells. Actually, in the past, I have often cast spells on characters and then teleported to another location without problem. It should work, the performance on the other end now will decide if we are successful in fooling the enemy.
All that being said, remember the MOST Important thing... Tann is the DM and the final decision is his to make.

Darn
Why oh why did you have to have it a female Paladin that was being slowly strangled? I dont know if Jessica can hold herself back from going to her aid. This is going to be hard!!

Sirene Could Help...
Sirene has hold monster ready, she might help the female Palidin being chocked. Ulthok will cast confusion as he appears to help Weaver.
We need to remember our mission and not get distracted by the action around us. We look like the enemy so we have to get off this battlefield before our own people attack us.
We can help others partys if convenient but we must serve the mission and our party first. The other parties don't know about the Dragon Queen so they are intent on destroying the castle. They could succeed before we free the Queen and then we are all goners.

I hear you Ody
Jessica knows that the mission is all important but to walk away from such a scene will be very hard for her.
I will have a short post up soon getting her to the point where she will be faced with that decision. Might need someone’s intervention to stop her from charging into battle to save the Paladin.

Carried Away????
Maybe that should have been Ulthok's pep talk. Well I just hope it helped to set the stage, now we have to see what happens.
I hope I didn't over step.

Why you ask Y?
Because I'm EVIL dear lady and as life is made up of choices so is my game
This one is a biggie for more then just one party member, not just you. How the members in question decide may have repercussions beyond this battle. Or not

Take A Look.....
Just take a close look at Tann's avatar and tell me that is a face you can trust????????
As for the Paladin, she would have a lot more trouble if it was an innocent being chocked, a Paladin understands duty and another Paladin losing in combat is the price they may have to pay.

I must compliment
Teller on making the choice she did, it was a hard one that's for sure. Honestly if it was me playing a Lawful Good character like a Paladin or Cor's Knight Cleric, which is as close to a Paladin as a Dwarf can get. I would have charged right in for death or glory.
Only time will tell if the choice both made has repercussions for them in the loss of their special abilities.

Decisions...
I think this is one of those 'grey' decisions where you have to sacrifice one for many. At least that is the logic Cor is following.
Although the potential awkwardness of discovering that his spells don't work might lead Cor to wish he didn't let the paladin die.
If Weaver tried to, is it possible he make the Orc give him the Paladin for 'interrogation'. He is the evil boss blackrobe after all!

A good decision.
Well, as I see it, she made the right decision. The Female Paladin is a warrior, who is fighting for her own deity and her King. If she were an innocent non-combatant then that would be another story. But a warrior’s job is to fight and possibly die in the service of their lord or deity. Jessica didn’t do anything to cause this other Paladin’s death; she only proceeded on a course to follow the orders of her King to whom she is sworn.
Per the definition of a Paladin:
A paladin must be lawful good in alignment and must always remain lawful good. Lawfulness and good deeds are the meat and drink of a paladin. If a paladin ever knowingly performs a chaotic act, he must seek a high-level (7th or more) cleric of lawful good alignment, confess his sin, and do penance as prescribed by the cleric. If a paladin should ever knowingly and willingly perform an evil act, he loses the status of Paladinhood immediately and irrevocably.
By these guidelines I think the decision Jessica made was Lawful in that she is obeying the orders of her King, and it was Good in that she was working towards the greater good, saving the many innocent non-combatants in the city below that would die if their plan fails. Therefore I think she didn’t act in a Chaotic or Evil fashion, which is where she might face punishment.
So, that is why Jessica is leaving the Paladin to her own fate; if the roles were reversed she knows that she wouldn’t want the party to rush to her aid and risk the entire mission.
So, we will see eventually how the DM, ah I mean Athena, interprets her actions.
