We're still on the same date (Sunday, February 7, 2365)... As of our arrival at SB 118, the time is 1719 (5:19 p.m.) Technically, according to the roster, Karri is off today... Also, she's not expected on duty until "tomorrow," 2365.02.08, at 1500 (which would be Monday, Feb 8, 2365 at 3:00 p.m.)

workaholic

ok thank you...
just itching to get to work...

might have to find some yarn.. idk if that's ironic or just cliche?

what types of entertainment tec would be available? would movies/tv/games/books ect be all data streamed onto personal monitors in quarters? or would it be more everyone would have a tablet an upload what they want or can find??
its odd to wonder at how relevant current tec would evolve or how prevalent it would become, to the point of becoming obscure in the future.

Well...

...just because it's technically an "off day" doesn't mean Karri can't work. Maybe she's been so bored that helping with the offload/transfer of the pod would be something she'd volunteer for... *shrugs*

As to entertainment - aboard the ship, there are, of course, the holosuites (wide variety of entertainment possibilities, there, I'm sure); of course, I'd say the ships computer has a wide variety of music, books, holo-vids (films, etc) that could be accessed from personal devices and/or consoles in the crew quarters, etc. There's the Observation lounge, of course, where Karri might go to have a drink, play a game, socialize with other crewfolk, etc... And, heck, we've just docked at a Starbase! The entertainment possibilities there are porbably more vast than what's available aboard the Peregrine... Full sized holodecks, Replimats in which someone might go shopping, etc... The choice is yours, really... Work or play, up to you!

FWIW

Here's a link to a "deck plan" for your typical starbase which shows what sort of recreational facilities they might have available.

heh

I rather expected at least a post or two of people trying to get a few hours off the Peregrine. I mean, she IS a tiny little ship.

Starbase

I'm working on a post on the starbase but have a question. Maybe I missed it but how long will we be at the Starbase? Want to know how much time I have to work with here.

I've been waiting to have a nerdy botanist post since we started. I enjoyed that far too much.

Whoa...

...Horatio's a shifty little dickens, isn't he? Remind me never to let the guy near my teapot or salad spinner.

Neat post!

P.S. Hoping to have a post for Tochi up, later today.

well

We won't be at the Starbase long. It's currently 1730 or so (aka 5:30 PM) on the 7th. Drake has been informed that the diplomat meeting will occur at 0800 the following morning, and that departure will take place soon after.

Pod question

Where is the pod going from the Peregrine? Directly to the science ship or into the starbase first?

well

Originally, I had thought it would go straight to the Science ship... but it's not here yet. So, maybe to the Starbase first?

My thoughts were...

...that it would be transferred directly to the Serapis, but I'm not opposed to the idea of it being relegated to a secured location on the Starbase, either.

well...

How about this?

The Serapis shows up in the morning to take ownership right before Drake has to go play diplomat.
