Welcome!

Welcome to all of our incoming players. Looking forward to gaming with you!

Catt, I don't have a preference on where we put the pod, so your plan is fine.

I'm doing a bunch of cooking, chores and such tonight but should have a Thorson post later.

Thanky...........

SB 118 is located very close to the Borders of federation space and the Klingon Empire, Ody. So, extreme "eastern/south eastern section of the Alpha Quadrant.
This feeds my thoughts of just what kind ships these races might see and copy. Also the type of "retired" tech they might be able to find.

nurse...

Our new doc and Tac chief have been added to the roster; Ops chief is coming very soon.

Boo Boo - I have edited Nurse Cook's entry to show her as "head nurse". That only makes sense to me, give her rank and the personality she's playing with.

Ruh Roh

I'm really curious what the good captain will say. Science requires sacrifice and risk! I can adjust my post as needed if I spoke out of turn or if one of your prior responses requires it.

No worries at all.

It also took me THREE TRIES to post that. I kept accidentally backspacing and going back on my browser near the end! GAH.

Hectic weekend incoming

It looks like this weekend is going to be kinda non-stop, so without doing a three-line post to the effect, let us assume Thorson will not be needed to offload the pod. The tractor operations would logically be coordinated between Flight Control and either the starbase or the Serapis. So Eol, take it away if ya want to. Since Thorson would be off-shift, he'd probably just elect to get some sleep.

I don't see him being needed until we're underway with the Coronado. So my next post will be about his aftermath of the Obs lounge malfunction (it can be a back post if the action has moved on), and then I'll post into the current action after that one.

In case I don't get to wander through the Inn this weekend, y'all have a good one.

whoa!

Hey Dox -

Great post, man. I absolutely love how, rather than wait for the plot to include you, you are making up a subplot that doesn't hurt anyone else's gaming, but give you tons to do. Seriously... WAY TO GO. This is EXACTLY how Science - which can be one of the toughest departments to play - should be done!

I'm about to head to bed, and I have a full day of little league tomorrow (parade in the morning, followed by coaching two games), so it will be tomorrow evening before I can post - but I *will* post a reply.

Some info on 118!

Funny enough while researching a post, I came across a ton of info on Starbase 118. Turns out it is popular for play by posts out on the net! Here is a fantastic wiki for the decks: http://wiki.starbase118.net/wiki/index.php/StarBase_118_Deck_Layout You can check out how it looks too!

Stuff

Dox - I gotta say Great Posts there. You seem to do your research before posting. Im trying to find Trek stuff to post about myself. Been somewhat successful I can hope to post as well as you someday.

Brennus - welcome to the game. Starting off on a good foot I see. I like it.

GM - Yeah I kind of thought of her as the Head Nurse since she was the ranking PO but it is good to have the official title. What do you think of her chances of making Chief anytime soon? Hmmm?

Yanamari - Thanks for the website. I need all the help I can get. I see a lot of stuff there that might be useful.

Astrid...

Astrid, to answer your question, department heads would approve shore leave, so she would ask Thorson. Feel free to assume he has granted it for any off-duty personnel.

Also...

...I'm planning to try to post tonight, if only a shortish one. Gonna be a full day, though, so apologies if I'm too pooped to do it.
