joz

I'm writing in my intro that I have ordered a few things with you before. Assuming the town isn't that big we would probably be familiar with each other and likely worked together before, both being crafters.

Also Almerin, what is the racial makeup of the city? How many Khords, Syls, etc? From the Audalis material it seems like Aly will be the only Cid, and I would likely be the only Brathun, with maybe 3-4 Khords and Syls in the town.

Also, I figure Glitch would have worked with Helena, and probably Aly before in matters of gathering herbs for alchemy.

As for the others, probably not but I haven't read Loki and Vil's backgrounds yet.

indeed

Not many Syls, not many Khords, so the ones that do live in the village are 'known'. I was going to introduce a brathunspar NPC that you would all mistake for a child, but since you are playing one that didn't go up anymore.

So there are no Cidals or Braths other than the players.

.

sounds good Admiral, I'll gladly craft any stone ware you desire!

Also I was wondering what is the total Pop. size of the town, a few hundred, just under a thousand?

Stone's Hollow

Stone's Hollow has between 300 / 400 inhabitants. Not so few that you are able to know them all, not so much that you will lose yourself easily in its streets. And, these inhabitants also include kids and elderly folk, so all in all Stone's Hollow is a thriving town with an air of familiarity.

I tried to make it clear in my opening post that Stone's Hollow has a great community. This is a fun town, a happy place, but at the same time a good haven for tradesmen and other travelers. Not a utopia, but one of the better spots to start a family on Antaron.

sorry

Sorry for my lack of activity on the posting or bio front. The truth is that I'm on the Star Wars Combine and I've had quite a bit to do there recently. Normally I prioritise the inn but this time the lot I had to do was too urgent to be left

Anyway, I will be writing up my bio shortly and will be posting shortly after that. My plan/idea is for my character to have moved to the village two years, maybe two and a half years ago, and to have got work as a stable hand.

Mine's up

I took some liberties with some of the townsfolk and even, Geron. I normally wouldn't do it with one of the Dm's npcs, but I felt it worked. Almerin, if I overstepped, please feel free to correct and change.

I also named the innkeeper of the Golden Barley Inn. His name is currently Whalen. Again, feel free to correct that, Almerin!

Looking forward to this!

Loki, no problem. This is supposed to be a once (maybe twice) post per week kind of game. I would like your posts in by Saturday, so I can do my best to write another update in the weekend. That will give you a few days at least.

Admiral, short indeed, but it still sets the tone and shows what kind of guy Glitch is.

Ayrn, no problem on the Inn keeper. I would ask of you to not take any more such liberties with Geron though. He's more insightful than one would think at first glance, and he probably wouldn't just reject Aly on appearance only.
Still, this worked very well as a character introduction, so I wouldn't change a thing right now.

Yeah, sorry about that

Thanks for the correction, Almerin. On second thought, I think I could have kept the same thing basically, but left Geron's dialogue blank, allowing you to insert whatever text you felt appropiate for Geron.

I'll go with that next time.

Thanks!
Ayrn

early update

Updated the game already. Haven't heard from Vilyamar in a few days, but I'm going to give him a few more. Hopefully he'll get a character in, and we're going to assume that he has been with us from the start. Shouldn't be too difficult, since the start was only recently.

Updates: I would like to see posts in before next Saturday. Feel free to include anything you did in the time between you guys being picked and the journey into the forest.

Any questions: feel free to ask.

PS: I noted the creature was goat size... not that it IS a goat.

the sling

Did Geron's sling come with sling bullets as well? If not, can I post that Aly picked up some stones from the ground prior to their encounter with the mangy goat-like thing?

ah

No, no bullets there. Rocks would do.

And, to lessen the confusion even more: there is nothing to the creature that would make you think it was in any way related to a goat. It just has about that size. I was looking for a good comparison, and that one kinda works.
