ok

So, I don't know if anybody already noted this, but it seems we now know something about how these portals work:

Taking North always leads to a West portal
Taking East always leads to a North portal

I think it's also safe to assume that:
Taking South always leads to East
Taking West always leads to South

So, basically, that's one step counterclockwise on the compass.

Anything else?

Not much...

Yep, I noticed that too...

The only other bit is meta-game... that there are still a bunch more rooms to explore.

I think it would be good to get back to the Cellar Room and try that last remaining portal. (though, I'm not saying we shouldn't explore the areas we have to go through on the way back. :NAUGHTY

The trick with the "compass" markings is that we don't actually know which direction is which (unless someone has direction sense or some such thing). The portals might actually just be disorienting, but in reality the rooms are just connected one to the next. It would be interesting to print and cut out each of the maps that Al has given us and see if they work together in some nice puzzle (remembering that we are still missing 10+ pieces to the puzzle).

Alacrity, I'll be away from Aug 30 - Sep 9 on vacation with little to no internet access.

Peace,
Ayrn

it's the map Too

The smudges are just me removing numbers, not traps, or monsters or killer bees or dogs that shoot killer bees from their eyes.

sigh

I am getting the feeling that I am not really reaching you (the Players) in this game. This is a more cerebral module, not very combat heavy so perhaps in is not the best for online gaming? The whole thing is based on a puzzle within a puzzle.

thoughts?

Spice It Up????????

I'm good with it. I'm just starting to get the feel for playing a Cid. Next I'll get the Lovers of Fortune down.

Maybe you could add some Gnomes to spice it up?

Thanks Ody

I am serious. I have only 3 original members out of 6 and no cohesive group structure because of it.

Hang In There.....

I'm seeing a lot games suffering a similar plight. I don't know if it's just a bunch ADD players or what.

A lot of times it seems like folks are more excited to play a new game and then let their existing games slide.

Every games builds as it goes so just keep it open and we'll stumble along room by room just having fun.

My struggle

Hey Roger,

My strugle with posting has been 3-fold:

1) It's September which is really the busiest month for me at work (actually, Sep - mid-Oct, Jan - mid Feb, and July are my busy times).

2) I've been hit with a ridiculous number of unfortunate (mostly annoying, time consuming) circumstances in the last 2-3 weeks.

3) I've been busy helping some friends with a game.

I like the game, I like Wembley, and I like the other characters. Just a little overwhelmed at the moment.
