Alignment

Anybody have a detect alignment spell?  We could do that and hear from Allanan while we wait.

Keeper I see you changed your post and the question to Allanan is missing. Do you still want a reply from him?

Questions needing answers

I posted for Lothor and had him put the question to Allanan again.  Given that Cor needs to wait until the Beholders go splat before he can speak, I'm hoping we can get a response from the arch-mage before Cor's speech.

Valene

Hello players of Trilogy! How are you today? Uh, I'm not exactly sure what to say, but you're fearless leader has recurited me to your game. I'll be taking over the character of Valene. I've read what she TannTalas has on her description, and already love her. If anyone would want to give me some insight to the type of relationship she has with all of you already, or little character quirks you remember her having, I would love the extra info. I look forward to playing with you all.

Welcome to Trilogy, a very long running game.  Read some of the back posts (not all of them or you will never get a chance to post).  Play Valene as you see fit, several of the characters had had more than one player.  They have evolved with each change.  If you try to play it the way it has been it won't be as much un as if you make it your own.  Cor is a bit of a sarcastic at times dwarf who loves to banter with anyone.

Welcome!

Welcome to the game!

As has already been said, play Valene as you want to.  I took over Lothor 4 or 5 years ago from someone else and made him mine.  He is kinda like the old Lothor, but a lot more of me.  Actually, I really don't know if he is at all like the old Lothor.  He's a big warrior and all, but likes to think of himself as a bit more of a general and less of a brawler.  As for Valene, I have had almost no specific interaction with her, so we can start from scratch.  I believe there was a bit of background there, but I wasn't part of it, so whatever.  Now Ody (Ulthok), well, there might be a bit more there . . . .

The real question, however, is . . . how would you try to deal with a dragon the size of an aircraft carrier?

Since we have no word from Allanon and it has been a couple weeks of real time lets just go with the current plan of Cor talking to the dragon.  Everyone cross your fingers.

I agree, but let's pass out the stuff that turns it to stone just in case.

I'd say one to Rayne, Roan, Talco and Valene. Lothor has his wipe and rest of us have magic.

Also we should position ourselve maybe 50 yards apart.

Cor need a bless spell or something to help his speech.

I'd say tell the dragon we were on a mission to save the dragon queen and got cast back in time. We need to return to save her and there is a great magic item here we need to fulfill the spell to send us back.

Maybe Allanan doesn't need the heart, just magic from the heart. Can he draw that magic off with killing the dragon if the dragon is willing to help?

If so there's a new option.

A hunting we will go. . . or hopefully not

I updated Lothor's post so that he distributes the basilisk's blood to the four Ody mentioned. (I didn't name them because I couldn't remember who they all were when I was typing the post, but that is who I would give them to.)

Ok now I know why you guys kept saying about the number of potions because I put an S at the back of "potions" That was my mistake

Lothor only has 1. If you look closely though it does say poitions there is no x+number behind the description he has. Though he has 4 doses they can be wiped on something not transpered as doses as once they are out of the potion bottle they have to be used. All I need to know are you putting the doses on weapons and if yes which ones?

Well, that is inconvenient

Tann - can a does be put on an arrow?

To the group - I don't think we want to put it on weapons yet.  If we don't fight it is a terrible waste.  The again, if we do . . .

Yes

Very easily, doses will last on the arrow head for 6 rounds or untill it hits.

Spread out and talk, clump and talk

What do you want to do with the basilisk's blood?  In general I don't think we want to waste it, but we do want to be ready in case we do need to fight and die.  But if we spread out we can't easily have multiple people dip their arrows after the beast decides to roast us.  I'm assuming that while it would take us a turn or three to get to him, it will take him decidedly less time to roast us.  So my suggestion, depending of course on what the archmage says, is for the group to space out, but for several of the archery types - Lothor, Talca and maybe Rayne to be in a closer group so they could all dip arrows if things seem to be going badly.  Then again, that might all be too late.  Thoughts?
