posting

Bou will get a post up Friday sometime. It would be great to have Crow post first since he is the one that saw the gobbers, but that depends on his schedule.

I'm guessing we will want to leave the brothers at the wagon and sneak up on them. There isn't much planning Bou can contribute to, as he is neither a warrior nor mage, but his sling is at the service of whoever is planning things. At least, I'm assuming he is going to stay back and launch bullets at gobber heads. Is there a specific plan to the attack?

Apologies. My email notifications aren't working, I hadn't realized we had started.

Entangle

Gotta admit, the entangle plan sounds like a good one.

We should probably pick between the two quickly so things can keep moving.
Can we do the same basic plan, but instead of luring them to the carts, lure them into the bramble? Bou could even speak goblinkind to try and lure them into the bramble if that seemed best.

Do we need to lure them off of the path for the entangle spell to work?

No fading, being serious for a moment.

Its been pointed out to me that my first post was overly aggressive, and antagonistic towards the rest of you. I wanted to assure you that it wasn't my intention. I was trying to give off a sense of dense self assurance, and parody how long it tooke me to interact, as I was late to the game.

None of it seems to have translated out how I intended, and upon rereading I can see why it bothered some people. I am redoing it now, and shall be careful not to contradict posting that happened since.

Also, I like Ody's entangle plan. Hadn't checked back yet since he posted that.

My apologies for any misunderstandings, and any thoughts that I was actually unhappy with the party. It wasn't my intention.

Did I forget to say

Just re-read my post and I left out something of importance. The Gobbers that Crow saw are armed with short swords and wooden shields only. They have no missile weapons that could be seen.

While gathering information from the DM for my repost, I found the following:

" Still they are prone to travel in large groups and prey on the weak.

The fact that they are there with no missile weapons in site and no guards is very odd. Very unusual that a group of goblins, even 12, would be able to defeat a well protected caravan with simple weapons and no bows."

Any ideas, anyone?

.

usually doesn't mean always

they could be a scout party or remnants of a larger band that got into a fight earlier or just a small band out looking for easy prey

In any case they need to "go away"

I agree they need to go away. I just felt it was information the whole party should have.

The plan

I need one thing clarified - Are you planning to be stationary or keep moving along the path?

Stationary

And have the brothers fight loudly enough to cause the Goblins to come to us thinking we are unaware of them and as such easy prey. The wind should carry there voices and the walls of the pass should also help

Entangle

Is it possible to make use of the entangle idea while they approach the wagons?

But.......

The spell is great in these forresty places, but it will be on one side of the road or the other. Got to cast it back in the bush a bit so we don't get caught in our own spell.

Ok Huh

Just cast it in the middle of the path once they pass your hiding place using the weeds and scrub. It states in the spell description that even that small vegetation can be used to cast the spell.

Why are we making this so hard?
