I've been at a funeral some distance south of where I live for most of the day.

Booboo, Crane will be confined at a minimum until Asovil has a chance to meet with the captain, and then... well, then, it's completely up to the captain really. So, I'm afraid she won't be able to participate in your poker game. That may raise some questions though; depending on how it is handled.

It's been pretty quiet all around today, I think. Long weekend and such, I suppose. Got wrapped up in some things away from the computer, myself, and still have a bit more to do on a post.

We need to handle the Crane situation for sure... but Asovil will need to inform Drake.

He's gonna take a very dim view of her actions, just be prepared for that. Ignoring the chain of command is a big, big deal - and for a chief to do it? Ouch.

Understandable. A harsh judgement by the Captain is expected especially after the aggravation her actions cause the ship and Captain.

Hmm strange that Asovil didn't bring it up when she seen the Captain or even the XO in all that chatting. Seems she a bit distracted.

...Asovil's did bring it up with Tochi early on in their conversation. Tochi simply filed it away for later action and deferral to the Captain when he became available. Given the relative insanity of the day, it simply hasn't been addressed just yet.

I see she did now. My mistake. I thought she was just 'distracted' by the handsome XO.

She might be... and the XO might be just a bit distracted by her, as well.

That said, given the events and stress of the day, when Tochi finished his shift his intent was to "think of anything but work for the next hour or so" and, as such, he's kind of back-burnered the thought for the time being in deference to a bit of normalcy... He's most certainly got plans to address the situation as there will be some pretty major fallout from the whole thing but, right now, that particular ball is in the hands of Lt Sh'iraolnas and Capt Drake. It's highly likely, though, that following his fencing workout, Tochi will pop-in on Chief Crane for a bit of a chat. We'll see how things develop.

As for Crane, I have a question, if she is confined to quarters, does anyone bring her food? Is anyone watching her? Is she allowed visitors? I mean she isn't in the brig, yet.

She'll be fed for sure (there are typically replicators available in crew quarters, I think), but I'm not so sure it went as far as posting guards outside her door... (Where's she gonna go? We're in space after all. )

Ever though Crane went to a higher level of Security she could still be brought up on charges by Drake.
