The morning

I find myself jamming to my Disturbed playlist this morning while at work; I wonder why?

Anxiously awaiting the Next Captain's post.

Well...

...it's a busy weekend around my place. Gearing up for our yearly Halloween bash, etc. Could be that others are similarly busy.

I'm with you, though... definitely anxious to see what happens next. Did we help Lauren or win her an express trip to the nearest airlock?... "And take the Trill with you!!!"

I've posted yet again.

I've posted. There's opportunity for Medical and Engineering to make some posts here as well. Happy to collaborate with anyone, or have people pick up the NPCs.

Medical

Well since Dana is on duty, I'll chime in.

So do want me to handle PO Rogers or do you? I would have to know what happened if I handle it.

If you want to collaborate? Send me his entrance into Sickbay in PM and we can start.

Oh, I have to add: this isn't looking good for Asovil. First couple days on the job and she has a Chief up on charges, and a PO who injures himself in the lab with chemicals he should know better than put together. Perhaps her attentions are elsewhere.

What can I say? Trouble follows beauty... or is that smoke? Smoke follows beauty.

Check your PM, Boo.

noice

Great round of posts, folks!

Sorry for silence from me over the weekend; Halloween time is big at my house, and with five kids, I'm super busy.

I should have a post up tomorrow (Monday).

Same, here!

Went through 8 gallons of cider and 20 quarts of chili in the two hours of Beggar's Night, so, apparently it was another raging success! The, of course, it was off to more adult Halloween activities. (Pirates gotta trick or treat, too, y'know?)

Spent yesterday tearing down the Witchworks and recuperating. First cup of coffee is poured and I'm readying for the day... should have a post or two in a bit.

Brom & I are working on another collaboration; he loves to keep me busy.

Still aching to see the Captain's next post.

Brom is a heckuva task-master! LOL

Just a quick post from me, continuing the lunch date. Have more planned from around the ship... (Megan's reaction to having met Asovil, springs to mind)... but should really do something for my other games, first. I'm kinda behind a little.

You learn something new, every day!!!

So, after mangling my brain putting together slides for a meeting I have, this afternoon, I took a few minutes and cruised the interwebz to chase away all the mind-numbing "work-related" business, right? Well, as I often do, I ended up at Memory-Alpha, browsing random articles, and, ended up jumping over to Memory-Beta... realizing that I'd not read a whole lot of articles, there, I decided to see what "additional information" they might have on Trills, that the "canon-based" Memory Alpha might have omitted...

Well, guess what?

Trills are apparently marsupials!!!

Quote:
"Trill were marsupials, and as such, had abdominal pouches with which to provide incubation for their newborns. Both males and females had pouches, and both sexes were capable of incubation. The pouch was also used as a conduit for medications to quickly enter the body, as well as the joining point between host and Trill symbiont.

Tens of thousands of years ago, the bipedal Trill humanoid was covered in sleek fur and had a steeply ridged brow. It was at this stage of their evolution that the first joining occurred.

Mind totally blown!!!
