Well well...

I certianly did not expect this to happen. that it has brought out a flurry of posts though... and hopefully I haven't killed it.

I did not go into details on the injuries sustained by Zeph, I figured you were assuming he got hit with all of your *coughs* and that hopefully this should be ending and it won't matter much. If need be though I can roll up damage and stuff later.

You would be correct

I assumed he would have at least managed to hit me, the question was would I be stunned. At this point it may not be important though.

Well that was fun

I'm particularly glad that we were able to bring this to a conclusion without anyone taking direct offense to it. That alone is a huge thing.

I admit I still don't understand that name calling and the (more or less) extreme response of the goblin entirely, but as our graceful DM said, at least we inspired some involvement and posting.

I noticed we all forgot to include the location, name and day on our posts in our excitement though. Oh well. Nobody's perfect.

fine

Let's just say that years of pent up rage boiled over and he lashed out at you, no need to worry about the how and why anyway.

However, I am rather bored, so I think I'll break it down. As you may know from my back story Zeph was bullied constantly growing up, then maimed and left for dead, and even bullied here in the school. Because of this he has a lot of contempt for most other living creatures. Something clicked in his head during the Imp Revolt, he began comparing their plight to his own. When you came out yelling and threatening the imps it was a lot like a War Veteran having a flashback, and he reacted with all the hatred and rage he has kept bottled up for years, lashing out as he always wished he could against his believed oppressors.

Well...

Whatever the 'reasons' behind everyone's actions there will be consequences. I will be working up my post today and will try to get it up tonight.

Thanks for all the lovely RPing though, the three of you that are actually posting

I see....

Well, I guess I do. I understand Zeph's plight. I am sure I may have reacted the same way if I were in that situation. In the year that Zeph has been at the school I am sure he has had some bad situations. He hasn't made any change though. I am sure not everyone treats him like garbage, if he would just stop to see it. He is too wrapped around the hatred for everything, with the exception of himself and Sintan. I know he is evil by nature, but perhaps let him open up and make some friends. Then he would have some support from others and not always get the crap end of everything.
For instance my character Kiirnon has been mistreated all his life by the people in his town, with the exception of a handful of friends and family. He is trying to find companions and friends though, instead of being bitter and hateful about it.
Anyway. I'm not trying to lecture or force my views on anyone, just thought I would offer an opinion. Besides it is in the past now and it's time to move on with the game.

Speaking of moving on...really looking forward to seeing the outcome and what Meri has in store for us now.

I've been curious about that...

To my knowledge we were limited to the races in the Player's Handbook (with Zeph being a notable exception). Wood elves do not exist in that book... or any 3.5 Wizard's of the coast book I have (which is pretty much all of them except some of the Forgotten Realms books. I know there was a wood elves in the Complete Book of Elves in 2nd ed, but I don't know of one in 3rd ed. Where did you get it?

Only players handbook?

Darn I thought we could use any race in the three 3.5 core rulebook. I found wood elves in the monster manual. If it's alright though i'd like to still use wood elves, but if not I can just revise my character to his new stats (Wood elves get a +2 to str and a -2 to int).

So what do you say Merideth?

An Official Ruling

In the recruitment thread it says that anything from the core books (and I did specifically include Monster Manual as an option) was acceptable.

So Wood Elf is acceptable. I will make a slight adjustment to the rules, however, and am going to add a provision that asks for players to note when something does not come from the PHB and say where it came from for easier judgement on such issues.

So... move that die for your new fellow student!

I stand corrected

I completely forgot that they had the subraces in the Monster's Manual. Besides that the DM ruled it good so it really doesn't matter anymore.

moving the die

i'm sure i could get the die rolling if i pushed on it but I was afraid that it would run over more imps and player characters and make an eewy gooey mess.
I had also thought if no one did come to help me....of having a team of the imps come over and start moving it back to it's proper place. I'll try to post something tonight regardless. Gotta work in my gardens today.
