Night Drop?

It wasn't said, but are we doing a night drop? That is are parachuting in? Just to help the mind set on what to get ready. Packing for a jump and packing for a truck in are different.

How about us having them experimental guided chutes?
We wouldn't do HALO jumps but still special chutes with pull cords to help direct flight. Early training used the main straps to guide left or right. A cord to a top opening to increase drop speed by letting air pass through quicker and then close it off to slow the drop. Maybe a special shape, two pocket chutes seamed in the middle to allow sharper left or right directions, they could called Angel Wings. Night chutes would be black or dark green.

Gee... I'm starting to sound like a gear guy...lol.

ummmm

The mission is planning to drop you as close to dusk as possible. It is a 6 hour flight from London to Egypt on a jury rigged C-47 filled with fuel tanks to make it there and back without stopping. Hopefully no one shoots at you along the way.

Special Chutes? You get the most special chute of all - a Standard Issue parachute with a cord that hooks to a rail so you don't have to pull it for yourself. Hard to beat that kind of classy. Of course, if you want to unpack your chute and add some cords and then repack and jump with it, the boys will be more than happy to watch and make fun of you before your horrible death.

This is WWII boys! You want special equipment, fill in a requisition form #4af47b in triplicate and file it with the proper channels.

Gear Guys Just Want to Have Fun.............

Just saying, what better place to tryout experimental stuff then with a group that most likely doesn't exist on record.

But we play by what the GM says. Just thought a little Rule #1 bending to our benefit might be fun.

special gear and powers

I want to run this game with you without special gear or anyone having magical powers. If this game continues, then you will accumulate stuff and get points to use towards knowledge and (perhaps) someone will develop arcane powers.

Standard ammo in the game is completely made up by me. You get 5 clips for your main weapons and 3 for the sidearms. If you want more, just in case you may take some but I will stop you short of doubling that amount. McGuiness has a special rifle and ammo and his amounts are on his character sheet. I am not a bullet counting GM usually unless people start firing auto into every room.

Grenades - 2 each, again you can ask for more but don't be surprised if you blow up in a hand to hand fight (oops)

I will address the shotgun and salt requests in my post.

Where is Grugg?

Hehe..........

Just sorts got them Hellboy movies in my head.

Doc is going to warn folks about trying to pack too much gear.
Think 95 pounds max, Doc don't want to fix broken legs from hitting the ground with too much stuff. I would guess that there is gear in seperate chuted payloads. That was standard operating procedure, carry what you could and follow your extra down, usually they had red or dark chutes so you could track them better.

okay

Unless I am asked I will assume you are going with the standard issue ammo.

You can get a bag or two of salt from the kitchen. The cook is sweet on Corban so he could manage to get a supply of basic table salt (1/2 lb bags)

Anything else, please let me know before I do the drop post.

Did I miss a question

I believe that Nomad had asked vis Corban how much head trauma was needed to put down a low level undead? The Report is sketchy but the theory was the brain had to be destroyed. Usually one heat shot was enough, never more than two

A Little Home Made...........

Well if we get shotguns and shells then there would most likely be rock salt at the air field for ice removal. We can load our own during the flight by replacing the pellets with rock salt. Should be able to do a few dozen rounds in six hours.

Ok, Should Read First......

Yeah a few of these would good. White Phosphorus grenade?, flares?

The gear chute would be useful but for non essential item in our case. But I'll give it check to see what might be good in the sand. The rest of you can suggest stuff too.

Maybe some snow shoes or skies. Motorcycles would just bog down.

BTW - Cool post Gruggmaster!
