, here's what babblefish thinks you said.
Love, Miss, stay calm, we are not their enemies but their friends.
I don't speak German either, but my maternal grandparents were Wolfgong and Kaster.
I like the peppering of language into the text, adds fun either way.
Might even make for some comic relief if our young lady would give Romo a confused look and then questioningly translate his incorrect German.
Van could start to have some fun with her so called Heroes.
I thought of three different reactions:
1. She thinks these might be Germans training as infiltrators. ("Oops I didn't know it was loaded. Is he all right?")
2. She realizes these are not Germans, and gets sarcastic about the language goof. Sort of thankful for being rescued but cautiously wondering what the hell are Americans doing this far into German territory.
3. Ignore the goof and we move on as if it was said correctly.
Of course there are lots of other scenarios and Van is a great writer so what ever she wants is whats best.
Soße? I guess this is the best translation for Gravy. Doesn't quite carry the same effect, lol.
So I guess Ody thinks Val's character is better than "Rindfleisch Soße". How romantic! No wonder French is the language of Love.
