"May I ask as to where the 'T' comes from?"

John says quizzicallyy after a brief pause.

i was called t at home so it is sort of my name now

"I was wondering about that." holly states inquisitively.

He turns his hands over and sighs offhandedly.

Motioning towards random soldiers, he calls out.

"You three, pack up that tent, you, that fire, you-"

He motions toward T.

"Help with that tent over there."

He continues, pointing towards the tent Holly, Intil, Saiden, etc. are starting to tear down.

"So how come you lot joined the army? I know that I joined to protect my homeland, it's currently safe from the war and I want to make sure it stays that way. How about you Intil?"

Sighing softly, Intil speaks after a brief moment.

"Wasn't my choice. My father made me, it's a long story. What about... whatsyername... T?"

i was made to by my parents i thought it mite be fun because i like danger. but now I'm not to sure but ill carry on.

"If you want danger you've come to the right place, but that kind of thinking will get you killed. It's best to stand back, prepare, and the take action rather then taking rash action." Holly responded.

The tent comes down quickly and easily--it never stood up that well, anyway.

The sun continues to rise further into the sky. As the company begins to condense and prepare to move the short distance into the forest ahead, a new messenger arrives.

The messenger and Jon have a hasty conversation, which ends abruptly when Jon points his arm away rudely, several sentences with muffled swear words being spoken.

Jon turns back to the soldiers and says in a strangely loud whisper:

"We have had our orders change. Instead of a nice walk through the forest... we get to clear out the caves these men came from. Right now."

Maviar, who has been in a good mood constantly since you met him--it seems he is always like that--spreads his hands out in frustration.

"I have patched us up the best I could, Captain."

Jon grimaces and is silent for a moment.

"You there, newbies. You haven't been worn down yet. You and Maviar take point."

Jon waits impatiently for several seconds into the ensuing silence and then continues.

"This war isn't going to win itself. We have our orders. Lets move."

Holly knew that this was a march to battle, not to a new camp as before and so she decided to recite the liturgy of arrows. A long prayer asking for as many lives to be spared as possible and for the generally to have heightened wisdom in battle so that victory may be quick.
