Yes I was using Alter Self.
I too had assumed you were rolling, since that's how most of the games go. And i hate to say it but if I had known, I probably would have passed. Summer is a really busy time for me, and having the DM do the rolling makes it easier on me.
Despite having a bard in Lantan and now in Drasnia, I'm unfamiliar with it so I will do some heavy reading and maybe I will have time to adjust my playstyle before I am off again on Thursday.

Hank raises her head, smiling distractedly. "Oh, that. It's Henrietta, actually. Henreitta Preston. But I've always been Hank, I guess."
She rallies her strength and they continue moving. Delilah lets Cindi go and brings up the rear. They reach the Flower shop with no incidents, and can hear voices from inside. Chris cautions all to stay outside.
Seeing nothing of not in the front room he proceedes to the back hall, and finds two men sitting at a table in an office/breakroom. Chris calls them all in.
As The women follow the walkway, the darkness dissolves. It is daylight again, and Cindi catched the body of a creeper from the corner of her eye. Turning her head, she watches as a shaft of sunlight, filters though a patch of fog, to fall on the creature. At the touch of sun, the thing falls to the gound, inanimate. Soft thuds echo in the town and blessedly, the sound of the machines under the town stop.
The silence is deafening.
Delilah stares, wideeyed, but says nothing. Hank, however, has made a dramatic improvement. She sppears completely fine. Color has returned to her face, and she no longer looks like death on toast.
The women join the men in the room in the back.

“Shall we play the game at which you and your sister are so adept, then,” he queried, a wicked grin ghosting over his features as he nodded towards the crowd on the street, “Bring us back one of those breeders, perhaps, so that we might bleed the knowledge from him?”
It was a fetching proposition, to see him in action, to watch him with the blade. Torture, when done with another, was a deeply intimate act, like lovers play or a sinner confessing to his god. It was not something she undertook lightly, and in all her life she had found only Mallys took as much care as she, or even cared as deeply, about the pain of others, as Sylla did. It would be an interesting experience to play the game with Nyx.
She licked her lips in the dark and smiled. "I would ejnoy that," Sylla whispered. A pause expanded within the space between them. "My sister is here. She waits, somewhere, in the darkness. Should things go badly for me, they might also go badly for you. She can be quite unforgiving."
A whispered sigh escaped her lips and twisted into song, into a darkness all its own, and her body appeared to shimmer, fade, and was suddenly replaced, limb by limb, part by part, with another woman.
A human woman.
"Cay would be so jealous," she giggled.
But while Sylla herself hated this guise, she was not unattractive as a human, and she slipped from the dark under the watchful eyes of Nyx, whom she trusted to keep her safe if only out of self preservation.
She waited till she saw a single man venture near on his rounds, and would then stumble from the dark, pretending to be a lady a lost lady of the night.

Evani sighed.
The body fell for her, and stiffly she lowered her arms, her eyes downcast. The body was ruined; she had taken his life in frustratiom, in sport, and he was now an empty shell. Evani looked at the font of her dress, soaked through with his blood, and made a small sound.
"well, I'm not getting in to any fancy parties looking like this now, am I?"
Evani stepped over the body and surveyed the scene. She did not see the old man whose store had been robbed - no doubt he had been scared off by the shot. But she did see something that surprised her and she watched Septimus soothe the little dwarf.
"You were very, very brave, my little friend," she lauded, kneeling on the ground tso she towered over him less. She smiled, softened her tone. The poor dear looked terrified at first, but with a little gentle conversation, she hoped he would relax a bit.
"In fact," she confided, as she ran her fingersd through her hair, "I do believe I would have been in grave danger if you hadn't come to my rescue with that broom of yours. Right, darling?"
Maybe their new ally would come in useful. Time, she thought, would tell.

They travel in packs, humans do, clutching to the vestiges of civilization to keep themselves from becoming mindless, thoughtless savages. They move together through ages and darkness and the rise and fall of empires, little more than animals even as progress forces societal evolution.
The survivors in Silent Hill are no different. As one they move through the darkness, alert to the howling and the sounds of the machina that seems to come from beneath. They move down Neely to the corner of Katz and stop for a moment. Hank leans against a streetlight and tried to focus, but there is a fog inside of her, like thick webs in her lungs and her mind. She checks the wound, afraid it might be infected, but it appears normal. Clearly, she tells herself, its all in her mind.
Delilah watches Cindi, heartbroken that they can not all be two places at once, so both women can find some measure of peace. She feels, as they all do, something pulling them, leading them. Delilah tries to tell Chris, but falls silent, unsure of what the others would say.
Chris notices Hank's worsening condition, but takes no action. Though worrried, he allows time to see what and how things develop, and after a few moments of rest, they push on down Katz, but Cindi stops short as the pass Martin Street.
She has stubbed her toe on a large stone object. Crouching beside it, she brushes off layers of dirt, to reveal a fragment of a headstone, pocked and pitted by the elements and time. There are only three letters on the fragment - TON.

Was she really hearing this? Were they serious? Clearly she had misheard them.
"I'm sorry, i thought I just heard you suggest we go check on a cat instead of a person..."
She stared, blinking, and cut off any response. "Okay, yeah, maybe my father's already been eaten by one of those freaky people-things, or maybe he is one, but a cat? Come on people! Who's to say, and I am sorry to have to be the voice of fricken reason here, but who's to say your cat's even alive?"
Eyes dark, she glared back at each face, each stranger, and felt the venom build within her. It was madness, that's what it was, she told herself, and they were all mad. But she didn't wan't to be alone. Cindi wouldn't stay, she knew that much, and that Delilah chick wasn't letting go of the guy any time soon.
Hank had to reason with him.
"Chris, please, let's look at this another way. You came running from that direction. So there's something back there, in the dark, that you are trying to get away from. But my house is right around the corner. We can load up on supplies, grab something to eat, get some rest, and then after we're prepared we can check on the cat and search the Inn. Think about it Chris. What self-respecting public servant would put the safety of a cat over the safety of the people?"
She looked into his eyes, searching for signs of common sense, some small flicker of understanding.

Humaninty is defined by the society it creates. History tells of people brought together, by war or famine or tragedy, who band tegether and reform and recreate societal norms, such as leadership and law. The survivors who wander Silent Hill are no different; Delilah has chosen chris to lead them, feeling he is the safest choice, though she has no reason beyond her impressions. She does not know him, or any of them, but feels safe with him.
Hank, still dazed from her wound, worries about the possibility of infection and if her father is alive. The memory of him digging graves on a hot summer afternoon has left her shaken for reasons she can not vocalize. She worries that nothing is left, and desperately wants to go home, to see for herself that all is lost. Cindi, however, has a similar idea. Her concern for her cat Meera prompts her to suggest a road trip, to which Chris agrees.
Delilah suddenly remembers the keyring she removed from the creature in the parking lot. She hands it to Chris, hoping it will help. But Hank is uneasy.
"Shouldn't we wait for the darkness? I mean, shouldn't we wait till it passes? Because I didn't see these things coming after us before the dark came..." Hank suggests.

Josh and Jonah sit across from each other in the back room of the flower shop. The binder sits on the table between them, closed. For long moments, the men stare at each other, expecting answers from the other, but there is only silence, a deep and profound quiet between them.
"There are others here," Jonah mentions casually, as if commenting upon the weather. "But asking me about them won't help. I don't know them. But you know, I'm pretty sure it will come to me. In time."
