Topic: You want to play a WHAT?!? (strange character ideas)
Subject: Grippli's
I have 2 characters that aren't so much strange as they are amazing, both are Grippli's and they're brothers that hate eachother (They're in two seperate campaigns in the same setting).
One is an Alchemist who is considered insane by others but completely normal to wizard standards, and his brother is a Grippli bard.
They both have only 5 strength and are under 2' tall, but they can stretch their tongues up to 10' as well as use them to lift 5lbs. in weight or do sleight of hand checks. My absolute favourite characters I've ever made

Twig nodded to Vyran as he knelt down and cupped his hands. Putting his foot in place, he reached his hands up and grabbed the ledge of the roof as Vyran lifted him.
Looking in to the window Twig cursed under his breath as he realized it was too small to crawl through, even for someone of his stature. As he looked around more, his eyes widened as he noticed a man hunched over a table. Staring at this man he noticed the jewlery and tools spread out across the table.
Twig dropped back onto the ground, then standing up he looked to his friends. "Good news and Bad news friends. Bad news is I can't fit in the window, Good news is it appears Butterfingers is home and hasn't noticed us yet. What should we do?"

Well after 2 1/2 months of no internet connection at home, I've finally returned to the Inn. I'll be taking the next few days to catch up on the many things I've missed, as well as check out what's been going on. It's good to be back and I can't wait to start roleplaying again

"Hey guys, that window looks slightly open up there..." Walking underneath the window he stared up to the window. "Vyran, give me a boost, I'm going in."

Uhm so yeah, I've hadn't had internet for two months but a bunch has happened. Like recently I have just got a new girlfriend. Also I was just recently injured in a bit of a scuffle earlier this night. I'm gonna be resting up for a bit the next week or so since my wrist got a little messed up, but I'll have internet back by next week so expect me to catch up on posting. Miss you guys, don't have to much fun without me ;D

"Name's Twig... and no, I don't really know what's going on but I'm hungry so yea..." Twig grabbed his spoon and started eating his stew happily, occasionaly glancing at his new friends until the girl stood up and walked to the other man whom she started talking to.
Throughout the conversation going on in front of him, Twig continued to quietly eat his stew. He looked up as one of the men at the table went and stood by the girl. He briefly wondered how fast he could jab the spoon into the eye of the man that seemed to be causing trouble for them. Glancing over at the other man who had given him the stew, Twig let a small chuckle at his thought.
"So what's your name, what are the names of our friends, is that one man eyeing the girl trouble, and how much do I owe you for the soup?" Twig grinned at the man still sitting with him after his bombardment of questions, Still staring, he went back to eating his stew.

Tralen awoke with a booming headache. Looking around at the strange room, his memory started to fade back slowly. "Oh yeah, I'm going on an adventure" Rolling off the bed, Tralen pushed himself off the floor. Looking around the room, he picked up his various instruments.
Walking down the stairs Tralen yawned and ordered a bowl of porridge. Eating it as fast as possible, he threw some coins onto the counter and walked outside. Stretching as he entered the sunlight,Tralen looked around and noticed Assal sitting beside a halfling under a tree. He raised his hand in greeting as he walked towards the duo.

Subject: Another entry
The Inn door creaked open as a strange figure entered the Inn. He stood in the doorway, eyes flitting between all the patrons. The man wore a large brimmed hat that hid his eyes from others. A tattered black trenchcoat draped over his shoulders and hung to the floor, revealing the grimy, steel breastplate and greaves protecting him underneath. The only weapons visible on the man as he walked towards the bar was a large crossbow on his back, and the quiver of bolts hanging underneath it.
He sat down without a word at the bar and slid some coins towards the barkeep. "I'll take whatever food you have on the menu." His voice came out sounding quite normal, but you could hear something else there, something dark.
Looking back over his shoulder, the man scanned the room and immediatley picked out the two most interesting groups of people, and Old Man and maybe his grandson with some fiery haired woman. Then the other group, even more odd... A Halfling, some tall, pallid figure, and most strange of all, the dark hooded woman. Something was off about her he could tell. Then again, this Inn seemed to be filled with strange people tonight.
Letting out a sigh the man looked up to see his meal, a bowl of hot soup, had been placed before him. He took a tentative sip of it at first, then started to dig in as he realized hunger had struck.

Gronk laughed quietly. "Now now Myirh, leave the poor farmers alone. And you young lad, Istoran was it? Would you like something to eat this fine morning? How about I cook all three of you some sausage and hashbrowns?" Gronk smiled at the trio in front of him.
Meanwhile the farmers had stopped whispering and were looking towards the half-orc who yelled at them with wide eyes. They then looked at the two humans beside her and stared back at eachother before lowering there heads.

With a start, Tralen opened his eyes as he hit something not so softly. Still laying down, he looked around and noticed he was in a room. Pushing himself shakily up, he turned and looked behind him to see Assal and the woman from earlier. Staring wide eyed at the two, paying no heed to the sword at Assal's throat he started to speak.
"Wash going on? Don't youth knowsh who I am!?!?" Stumbling back and landing in a seated position on the bed, he started mumbling again. "I ish the greatesht bard to wander theshe lands! My name ish Trailing! Thus Maestrosh!"
Suddenly Tralen fell on his side and he closed his eyes. Not even 2 seconds later he started to snore quite loudly.

"HA! ADVEEEENTURE!" With that last word, Tralen collapsed, face-first onto the Inn floor. If one listened closely, they would hear Tralen singing in his ale induced slumber.

Taking a long drought from the mug, and wiping the foam off his upper lip, Tralen grinned to Assal. "The Ruins of Athera is where I heard that this sword was resting. In the hands of some bandit or such." Tralen put his head in his hand and laughed before finishing off his ale once more.
