Subject: A trifle simplified?
In my opinion, Fourth Edition is beyond simplified. It's a board game. Me and a group of friends can whip up characters and start playing in less than 15 minutes!
Therein is where I start loving Pathfinder more, and what makes me want to try older editions of Dungeons and Dragons. You actually need to think about your character, especially if you want them to survive past the third level. (In Pathfinder anyways)
But yes Finn, I'll Gm a game if no one else wishes

Subject: Differences and changes?
I've never played 3.5, but from what I know Pathfinder took a lot from it. I couldn't tell you what the exact differences are but I could shoot you a link through PM to a website that has literally everything you need to know about it.
Keep in mind if no one feels like GM'ing, I'll gladly take the reigns! If someone else wants to I'll gladly be a player!

Topic: Star Wars: A Clone's Duty
Subject: Initiate Battle!
As soon as the droids enter the hallway Hodges leaps into action. Stepping forward he swings his gun towards the B1 in front of him and misses as he steps away before his hit connects. [3 rolled on attack]
Slade immediately follows up by firing his blaster rifle at the same droid Hodges has swung at. While his aim could've been better, he still manages to drop the droid to the ground with a shot to the chest. [13 rolled on attack, 12 damage]
The remaining 3 droids react to the clones hostility with their own. The first B1 aims at Slade and fires, barely missing the clone and hitting the wall. [Droid 2, 15 rolled on attack]
The B1 in front of Gyro manages to hit him in the chest with his blaster rifle with a well placed swing at the chest. [Droid 3, 22 rolled on attack, 4 damage]
The final droid fires at Hodges as he steps in front of him, yet still manages to miss due to poor aiming. [Droid 4, 3 rolled on attack]
Riggs immediately jumps to the door controls of the medbay and manages to seal them with little effort and a suprised Batter staring as they close. [10 rolled on Use Computer] With the Medbay temporarily safe, Riggs turns his blaster pistol upon the droid who just hit his friend Gyro. With a satisfying thud the droid falls to the ground as the shot tears through its head. [18 rolled on attack, 15 damage]
Gyro, shocked by the sudden appearance of the droids falls backwards onto the ground, firing two shots into nothingness as the droid before him falls to the ground. From his position on the ground he could see that he was right to seal his armor as there was nothing through the whole but the darkness of space.

The five clones stood in anticipation as the sparks continued to shower down. As they watched terrified, the 5ft square of ceiling dropped to the ground with a loud metallic smash.
As quickly as it fell, four B1's followed close behind blasters raised and ready to fight.
[Initiative: Gyro, 1; Hodges, 25; Riggs, 17; Slade, 24; Droids, 20*]

Subject: Can you take it?
"The Separatist's Lieutenant. We are unable to determine the amount. We have about seven men in fighting shape, one wounded and 8 MIA. Our 4 NCO's are missing too." Then, a momentary pause set in; Gyro seemed to be listening to something, shoulders cocked slightly. He turned back to the comlink and said, as if speaking to everybody at once, "Uhh, hate to be the bringer of bad news, but the droids are enveloping us. They are on the roof now."
Slamming his fist onto something the troopers couldn't see the clone who called himself Omega cursed. "Listen here troopers, we're 20 minutes away from your location. I want you to prepare for a fight. Take this seriously, it ain't no training sim. We'll contact the nearest Capitol Ship as soon as possible. Stay strong troopers, Omega out." With a salute, the hologram shut down and once more Gyro and the trooper were left alone in a quiet room.

Hodges, Slade, and Riggs stood in the hallway, listening closely they could hear the clanking on the roof. Looking up to the roof Slade gasped. "Guys, I think they're cutting through," Pointing upwards, the three clones could see sparks falling down to them. "this, is going to be a problem." With a groan Slade backs away and aims his rifle towards the roof.

Subject: Dancing in the Dark
Tiffany: As Tiffany sat on her phone she didn't notice the large crowd of people moving towards her. Before she heard the answer from her friend the next thing she knew was she was getting jostled around by a crowd of people moving through the park. With a cry she was pushed to the side as her phone was torn from her grip in the flurry of movement. As she fell out of the monstrous crowd she landed in front of two very distressed looking people, one of which seemed familiar to her.
David and Lore: As the two stood distressed after going full circle, they couldn't help but notice a large crowd of people rushing through the park. Just as quickly as they came they were gone, but in front of them sat a dishevelled looking blonde girl.
Amera and Jade: The two girls wandered through the game stands and crowds of people looking for the little girl's father. It was hard to move without bumping into anyone, and they were constantly being halted by larger groups moving through to other games.

Subject: Slight chance of flurries
The comms were silent after Gyro spoke. The clones stood around the console wondering if they had cut again before a gruff voice could be heard. "This is Lieutenant Omega, CT 0084 4573. Do you know who is attacking troopers? What's the size of the enemy force, how many clones are still fit for combat? We need to know troopers!"

Hodges and Slade continued to eye the door, the silence slowly becoming more and more prominent. They could hear voices down the hall coming from the Comm Room. As they eyed the door, both clones suddenly tensed up. They could hear something, and it wasn't voices. Looking up to the roof, they could hear the faint clanking of droids. [16 rolled on perception for Slade and Hodges. Skill check passed]
Slade looks over to Hodges and back up to the roof before reaching for his commlink. "Guys, we have a problem.... The droids are on the roof now, be ready for anything."

Subject: Dead Troopers and Blaster Fire
TK silently walked beside Cam as they pushed forwards through the undergrowth of the forest. His eyes constantly scanned the glowing woods around them for anymore sign of the Tapiens. He stopped when he caught site of the mangled stormtrooper in in front of the party. "Seems like those Tapiens started earlier than Dierkan said! Come on guys, double time!"
Looking away from the body, TK pushed forwards keeping pace with the Sergeant. He couldn't help but notice the blaster fire getting louder the more he focused on it. Gripping his weapon he strode forwards.

Subject: Comm Stations
The Comm Room had become a flurry of activity within seconds after the message had died. Riggs and his helper were busy sifting through wires and circuit boards fixing whatever problem they could. Meanwhile Gyro was busy sifting through his computer diagnostics, attempting to get the console up and running again. For a solid 5 minutes they worked before the Comm Station lit up and rebooted. Repeat, this is Lieutenants Omega and Caboose. Repeat, this is Lieutenants Omega and Caboose. Come in Troopers, we received your distress signal. What's going on down there?"
[22 rolled on Use Computer check by Gyro, 21 rolled on Mechanics by Riggs. Skill check passed]

Hodges and Slade stood outside the blast doors waiting for something, anything to happen. For what felt like hours they stood until they heard faint voices coming from the Comm Station. Looking over to Hodges Slade spoke, "Think they got that Comm working?"

Subject: Order up!
Nia waited patiently as Kal'Ar placed his order before asking for her usual, bread and a mug of cider. As she attacked the small meal she only stopped to look up and wave to Nefrelle as she entered the inn.
Content with eating her meal, Nia didn't hear much of the conversation between the Nu-Mou and Ronso until she heard "But now that you are here, we can go find out, rather then speculate..." Looking up to the others with a mouthful of bread she managed to get out "Check, jobs..." before grabbing for her mug of cider and downing it in one go.
With a happy sigh and pat on her stomach, Nia stood up and walked over to Alru at his table.

Well you have your situation soldiers. Currently Riggs is doing repairs, Gyro is standing in the Comm room with him, Batter is watching over the wounded, and Hodges is guarding the door with 1 of the 3 clones.

"Well if you're paying, then let's head inside. I expect something to eat as well~!" Nia giggled as she stood up from leaning on the wall and stretched once more before heading to the door of the Inn.
"I assume Nefrelle is on her way.... But luckily, I am easy to spot."
Once more Nia laughed at her friend before looking up to him. "I sure hope so, otherwise we'd have a stray cat to find." With a wink Nia slips into the inn before Kal'Ar could glare at her.

"Done! Did I beat the record?" Batter glanced over to Gyro before looking down at the clone on the Medical table. "I'd say. I'll stay here and watch him, why don't you go check on Riggs and Hodges? Just radio in if you need me Gyro." Looking back to the doorway, Batter couldn't help but smirk under his helmet, at least Gyro's sense of humor was still intact.

"This is Outpost # 8394, located on the Uden Fen asteroid in the Outer Rim territories, and we are under attack by an unknown assailant! We have casualties. I repeat, we have casualties- request backup immediately!"
Riggs and the clone sat in silence as the static blared from the comm station. For several tense minutes they waited before a broken voice could be heard. ".... is CT 8364.... Omega and Caboose..... situation? .... Repeat....." As quick as it came to life, the voice ceased to be. The clone jumped up and ran over to the comm station, slamming his fist on the surface he yelled WE HAVE TO FIX THIS, SOMEONE IS OUT THERE!" The clone immediately drops to the ground and starts grabbing at tools and digging around inside the console.

"We all have to die sometime..." With those uttered words the clone sitting down slowly stood back up and stared right into Hodges visor. "We don't, we don't have to die. We can fight right? Yeah, yeah we can fight..." Picking his helmet up off the ground, the clone loaded his Blaster Rifle and stood at attention. "Slade reporting for duty sir. Let's give these rust-buckets something to talk about when they leave here."

TK looked back towards the main group once more after completing his scan of the area. Walking up to Cam he saluted. "No enemy personnel in the vicinity sir. Are we moving on?" Looking around at the rest of the group he realized the decision had already been made. "I see..."
Drawing his Blaster Rifle he fell in behind Cam. "Hope you don't mind the scout doing his job sir."

Subject: Darkness reigns

Friday, Oct. 31/08
Sweet Rock, BC
Tiffany: Tiffany happily stepped into line for the fun house. The place was definitely crowded and it was visible that it'd taker her awhile to get her turn inside. From what she could see up ahead, many of the people exiting the Fun House were visibly shaken, almost ghostly white with fear. Her train of thought was broken as another scream pierced the night air...
David and Lore: The lawyer and twin frantically searched the area where Jade and Amera had disappeared from. Their voices grew hoarse from calling their names, and no one would answer their pleas for help, too enamored in the sites and sounds of the strange carnival. The longer they searched, the more disorientated they became, eventually they ended up right where they started, no more closer to finding those that they had lost.
Amera: Walking with Jade, the two girls wandered through out the game area not realizing what they had stirred up. They stopped occasionally to play games that were easy enough to win, and within a half hour, Amera and Jade were carrying at least a dozen stuffed animals. Sitting to rest after Jade convinced Amera to buy her a candy apple, a strange man dressed in all black walked up to the two girls. Bowing to them, he dipped his top hat and pulled out two black roses. "One for each lovely lady." His voice was deep and rumbled almost like thunder. Standing, he towered over the two. "Riddle me this my dear girls,
I am the part of the bird that is not in the sky,
who can drown in the ocean and yet remain dry.
A last vestige of man that refuses to die.
In mourning I am tossed at your feet to lie;
I begin my job early, devouring your ankles and thighs.
I work my way up, eating your legs to your waist.
And though around midday away I am chased,
I return quickly to savor the arm of my taste.
As evening falls I enter your lungs,
spiraling down past your mouth and your tongue.
I feast on your body, your soul, and your mind,
but as darkness falls you shall find
that away I will go, a relief for some;
At least until tomorrow morning comes.
What am I?
Staring at the two with his dark eyes he grinned, "I'll give you until the end of the night to figure it out, keep the roses." Bowing once more, he slipped away into the crowd.
