You know there have been times when I too have gone 'commando' I believe it's called when wearing a dress or skirt but I am sure that inspires a totally different image than the Kilts.

USS Peregrine - Sick Bay - 1250
PO Dana Cook strode back into Sickbay and found all of the Nurses awaiting her inspection. Dana walked around and gave a rather cursory inspection; even going so far as to actually swipe her index finger across a table and inspect it as if she might find dust.
"Well," she began as she turned to the nursing staff, "everything is satisfactory. I see Crewman Patel was kind of enough to show you how I expect things to be."
She gazed for a moment at Patel, who appeared nervous, but all she did was nod her approval to him.
"Very Well," PO Cook continued, "The ship is getting underway even as I speak. So we can stand down and I assume you have all had a chance to peruse the Shift schedule. Does anybody have any questions or complaints?"
No one spoke up as she glanced around at them.
"Ok," Dan went on, "Monday Beta shift is now on duty." She glanced at Crewman Patel once more and he nodded acknowledging that he knew he had the duty shift.
"The rest of the New personnel I will expect to interview each of you briefly to ascertain your capabilities and training," She said as she lifted her PADD and glanced at it, "Your records only say so much and don't really tell me what you're really capable of."
Lowering the PADD she looked at them, "You are all dismissed for now. I will summon you when I am ready for you. Pay attention to your shift schedule; memorize it. Don't be late. I will be checking up on each shift so if you have some questions or problems don't hesitate to ask. Be ready in case there is any call for emergency medical treatment. All medical personnel will respond no matter the shift. Understood?"
All of the new nurses nodded, "Yes Sir."
Dana scowled at them, "Sir? Do I look like an officer? No, I work for a living! You will refer to me a Petty Officer."
"Now," She finished, "Go get settled in, and if you have any questions at any time, I am always available. Dismissed!"

"ALL RIGHT PEOPLE!," Dana bellowed as she walked in and seen the other nurses there and the Doctor not in the room at the moment, "Lets get this Sickbay squared away. The Emergency is over! I must say you all did a good job. Not Great, but most of you are new here so after some time you will work better together. I'll cut you some slack... this time."
She walked over and looked at the gurney where Chief Thorson had laid while he was being treated. She paused for a long moment before she continued. "Lets get all this gear disinfected and put away. We will be leaving the Starbase soon and as soon as we are underway and everything seems fine, we can go back to the normal rotation schedule. You should all have it on your PADDs now."
She turned towards the exit, talking over her shoulder, "I'll be back in 10 mins, and I expect everything to be in order."
She left them to figure out everything; Nurse Patel was kind enough to show them where PO Cook expected things to be.

Stardate 2365.02.08
USS Peregrine, Sickbay - 1233
Nurse Dana Cook hovered over the unconscious form of Chief Engineer Thorson as the scanners did their job. He was stable now and they had mannaged to stop his seizures, but at the moment they still weren't sure what had caused them.
"I don't know Doctor," Dana said to Doctor Moore, "it almost looks like something is causing his body to reject the implants."
(Doctor's replies)
"We don't know what is causing this problem Doctor," Dana went on, "but I do know that we do not have the necessary equipment or specialist in cybernetic implants onboard to handle this situation properly."
"We will be leaving the Starbase soon," She turned to look at the Doctor, "I suggest we transfer him to Starbase 18 immediately."
(Assuming the Doctor concurs and gives the order)
"OK," Dana said as she turned to the rest of the medical staff that had been called if for this emergency, "We have only minutes before they seal us up for departure."
"Miraan & Patel, you will accompany me in taking the Chief Thorson to the Starbase."
"PO Adama," turning to him, "you contact SB medical and send over the data we have currently and tell them to meet us at the airlock. Tell them to hurry."
"Reynolds,"Dana said, " prepare another hypo of sedative for me; we want to be prepared just incase he starts to act up again. "
"Come on, let's move people."
Less than a minute later, PO Cook lead Miraan & Patel as they guided the hover gurney bearing the stable, and thankfully unconscious, Chief Thorson to the airlock. There they handed over his care to the SB medical personnel who had shown up to take charge of him. Dana stood there for a moment watching as they whisked him away and the airlock door closed as the ship prepared to departure.
Dana turned slowly away and said a slient prayer that he would be alright. She didn't like giving up injured patients, but she knew he would have a better chance of surviving on the Starbase than aboard the Perregrine.
(OOC: Well that is the best I can do. I hope the Doctor, GMs, Superior Officers, etc. are ok with what I posted. If not I can go back and edit anything that is deemed inappropriate. Now, hopefully we can get this game going again, and now that my Medical personnel are freed up, I can get a few other posts in. )

Subject: Medical Question
I am trying to figure out where to start in Medical. I posted last that we were moving Chief Thorson to the Sickbay after he was sedated.
I have seen mention of transferring him off to SB 18 with the Dr's approval. Do we have to wait to make the transfer? I mean could I post something about getting him stable and secure and then having him move to SB18 where they will take charge of him?
Without anyone in medical to interact with I am a little lost here. Especially after such a long break.

I was SO disappointed that it just dropped suddenly without any explanation.

While that is a good idea I'm here to interact and role play with others and back posting stuff that doesn't really apply to the story line doesn't really appeal to me.
I came here to role play with people to help get my mind off of my miserable life so I'll just check in from time to time to see if the game gets going again. I hope so.

Seriously though. What is happening? I know Real Life intrudes upon us all. I know it has me too. But this game has ground to a halt completely. No one has posted since May 31st and the GM hasn't updated since April 24th. I mean Ody is snoring for Pete's sake!!! Is this game dead? Should be just call it and pull the plug? I hope not!
I'm hoping we can revive it and get it back to its former glory. This is the only thing I have going on here and don't have anything else to jump into to bide my time till this starts moving again and I have contemplated just up and pulling out and leaving the site as it is a bit depressing to come here every day and hope there will be something new but to only be disappointed once again. Am I wasting my time? Again I hope not!
This place has been a sweet distraction for me from the pain and misery that has been Real Life lately. I would hate to have to leave cause there is nothing here but more depression to go on top of what I already am dealing with here.
So let's try to either get this game going again, or maybe it is time to call it like a mid-season network cancellation. I'm praying for the Former!
