Subject: A little something from Security

Stardate 2365.02.11 (Thursday - 42143.7)
USS Peregrine; Various locations - 08:00 - 10:50

Ensign Linda Blackmon was enjoying her day off; she started her day with a hearty breakfast of a roasted mushroom and tomato frittata topped with sliced avocado and crumbled blue cheese., some assorted fruit, and a protein shake. She then spent an hour in the gym working out with weights, then some cardio, then a little light work on the heavy bag. It was hard for her to find training partners, as she liked to practice hard and a bit more realistic than most preferred. It was too bad that Chief Cook was busy working on updating the entire crew physicals; the Chief was one of the few people that enjoyed a good friend 'contest'.

After her 'workout', Linda took a quick shower and then headed over to the Phaser range. She liked to practice whenever she got the chance; you never knew you would be called upon for a little physical security. After the range, she planned to head back to her room and do a little reading on Advanced Shipboard Security techniques, but she was just finishing up her range routine when the Red Alert sounded. She quickly stowed the 'range' phaser in it's place and hurried out of the range and to the Security Office which wasnt far away.

Once there she grabbed a fresh Type II phaser and placed it on her belt. Since she wasn't currently on the Bridge shift, she would stand ready at the Security office and supervise the other Security personnel until Lt. Reid arrived to take over. Linda knew that Lt Berk would be on the bridge manning the Tactical station; she wished she was there, but nothing ever seem.ed to happen on her duty shift. Therefore, she stood by with the other Security personnel awaiting instruction from Lt. Berk.

That Albert.

Computer problems suck! Hopefully he'll be back soon. I say, we could probably push on still if the GM is willing. Backpost can always be done if needed.

My thoughts really!

I don't know any Albert. Hmmm

Maybe move it on as long as anyone could backpost if need be.

What? Dare I believe my eyes? Is that? No, it can't be! But it appears to be! I just don't know. I might wait for confirmation. :

Subject: Medical Reporting

Stardate 2365.02.11 (Thursday - 42143.7)
USS Peregrine; Deck 4 - Sickbay - 10:50

Chief Dana Cook looked up from where she sat at her desk and locked eyes with PO Adama who was the medical person currently on-call as the Red Alert klaxon went off. He only nodded to her and moved to the med cabinet as she stood and tapped her comm badge.

=/= Chief Cook to all Medical Personnel =/= She paused briefly as the computer routed her call to the proper crew, =/= Report to Sickbay immediately! =/=

She cut the channel not waiting for a reply, as the only reply would be that they were en route. She would normally assume that here medical staff would know what to do, but she had so many new ones, she thought it prudent to instruct them this time, since she hadn't yet gone over Sickbay Emergency procedures.

She turned and saw Crewman Toriak loading up his medkit and then returning to his records office, while PO Adama was setting out kits for others. It didn't take long, less than 3 minutes, before all of her nursing staff were present and she began to direct them who would handle what, in the case of any injured personnel.

Cook watched the new nurses tending to their assigned tasks; she nodded as she saw little to condemn them. They were all performing well so far, she waited to pass full judgement until she saw them in an actual medical crisis. Chief Cook left them to prepping the medical equipment, checking the med bed stations, and returned to her desk where she would monitor any request for medical assistance. She hit a button that sent a signal to the bridge letting them know that Medical was Reporting Staffed and Ready!

Subject: Battle over.

Máiréad gasped as the power of the Spirits flooded into her; she felt the healing energy flow out to her companions as they battled the Catbots. Her energy was almost more than she could contain and she let it flow out and provide a protective barrier around Rhyson and herself. She rejoiced in the benevolence of the Spirits to answer her call for aid with such abundance.

Once the others finished off the last of the catbots, she pressed her forehead to her staff and whispered a short thank you to the Spirits for their assistance. She rose to her feet and looked around surveying the scene. She was able to ascertain that her companions were all fully healed and already starting to check over the catbots for anything useful that they didn't trash in the battle. So, she turned her gaze elsewhere, the rest of the chamber, the ceiling, corners, she looked high and low, as she waited for them to finish and prepare to move onward.

(OOC: I love the Critical Hit Healing thingy. So, do you know the current MP totals for us magical people?)

Subject: The Healer

Máiréad fired an Arcane Blast from her staff at the wounded Catbot but just as she did it reanimated and leapt upwards, avoiding the magical attack.

"AHHH," Máiréad growled as her blast missed the Catbot, but her disappointment was short-lived as a bolt from Tomiki took it down to move no more.

"Well done Tomiki," she shouted with glee as she looked about towards the other nearest cat. She turned just in time to watch Lum take a blast squarely in the chest; from the smoking armor, she guessed it was a Serious Wound.

The healer realizes that she needs to use her healing ability to aid Lum, and possibly others she might not have noticed their injuries.

Grasping her staff in both hands, she moves closer to Lum but behind him (about 15' or so) then plants the butt of the staff on the ground, and crouches down on her heals and mutters a prayer to the Spirits to aid her companions and heal them from injury. She hopes that if she is a small target and appears to be non-threatening, that the catbots will focus their attention on the other moving and more dangerous targets.

(OOC: Casting Healing Aura on all party members within range for the full amount - 9MP spent)

Trigeminal Neuralgia

Trigeminal neuralgia (TN, or TGN), also known as prosopalgia, suicide disease, or Fothergill's disease is a neuropathic disorder characterized by episodes of intense pain in the face, originating from the trigeminal nerve.

Never heard of if, so I had to look it up. I'm so sorry to hear of this diagnosis, Brom. It sounds horrible! I hope whatever mediation they have you on will help suppress these episodes.

I would like to know that as well. Mai should be able to tell if Lum needs her 'services'.

I'm composing a post, I just need to know about the level of injury.

A new character who is unknown to the party will face suspicion and will have to earn their trust. It only seems natural. Now if the newcomer happened to work for Dwan with another group, an only survivor maybe? That might help speed the process. Just a thought.

No Bren, the game has stalled because our Captain and XO are MIA. Without at least one of them, the game can't really move forward. We're all at the mercy of Real Life. I'm still hanging around in the hopes that they will materialize and the game will continue. I hope!

Subject: Spirit friend

When Lum stepped in front of Máiréad to shield her, she stayed back far enough so that she wouldn't be in his way. They had worked together long enough that they supported each other well, so when he was mauled by the 'cat' she could tell that it wasn't too bad, yet. She saved her healing for when it was truly needed and looked for an opportunity to help strike at their opponents.

She saw one of the cats go down and appear to stay down, but no .. it's lights were still on so it might still be a threat. She called upon the Spirits once again and and with a muttered phrase she took a step to the side to have a clear line of sight to the downed 'cat' and pointed at it with her extended hand. A bolt of pure white energy, as pure as the Spirits she called upon, streaked in a flash towards the wounded machine creature. As soon as the bolt is away, she takes her step back to place her behind Lum where she can be afforded some protection from the other 'cat'.

(Casting Arcane Bolt at the cat that is wounded and down. 1d6 + Willpower (+3) + Level (?). No MP cost. What level are we anyway? It does seem to say on my character sheet.)

(Spells in effect: Stone Cloak (herself), Hero's Might (Party) )
