Seems I am 1 step from one of the B1's, so Hodges will immediately step forward with a rifle butt melee attack at western droid (Martial Arts skill), them fire at northern Droid.

If it can be 1 turn that is. if it is 2, might have to alter 2nd action, but either way, West droid is getting a rifle butt to the face.... plate thing.

Riggs, keep that frag grenade ready. Might need to toss it up into that hole here in a minute.

Also, how does init work? I have played both. Lower number goes first, or higher number?

Hodges gritted his teeth as sparks began falling from the ceiling. The gearheads were cutting through. They had 90 seconds, maybe less....

"I don't suppose any of you boys grabbed any explosives...." He growled into his comm.
"I'm thinking those clankers need some help making a hole, and i love to be helpful." He adds with a chuckle, trying to hide his nervousness, rifle not moving an inch from the soon-to-be point of entry.
"If any of you have any Detonite, now is the time to use it. Right where they are cutting. I want that door they are making to take a few of them apart."

Mal watched as Dudley the Cidal began his portioning of the food he carried, seemingly happy to share at the Khord's indirect request. The sight of the ham even making the Swashbuckler's mouth water. But his eye was mostly trained on Crow as the Syl searched the various areas of the room, most notably the black entryways and door.

"I'll not be knowin' how your feelin', but personally, I say we take the wooden door when we be ready to leave. Can't be sayin' I be confident the next portal be takin us somewhere as nice as this." He calls, still seated. He had no intention of leaving before everyone was good and ready. Last thing he wanted was them having to fight whatever might be waiting in the shadows AND fighting hunger, thirst, and lack of sleep.
He says nothing to Dudley concerning the food, figuring he would grab some if there was any left after everyone else had their share. Mal had gone without food many times before, and figured he could continue on for another 2 days if he absolutely had to... though he truly hoped he didn't....

my electricity may shut off soon unless I figure some cash out.... so if i continue posting, im good. If I havent posted within 24 hours of it being my turn to say something, you may have to NPC me for a bit.... and I take no pleasure in saying that.

Should be sorted soon though, so with any luck, I will be back before too much time

Mal's grip on his saber tightened as, all of the sudden, he and his group found themselves in a very nice, very cozy room, complete with a fireplace and a..... metal pug? Or some sort of golem Rat?
"Alright boys, I...." He cuts off as the Cleric, Dudley, scurries past him, and to the fireplace before he can protest.
As soon as Dudley had moved in, the metallic being instantly turned on him and charged.... kinda.
Raising his sword, he watched as Dudley was cloaked in a green flash, and he knew the Cidal was dead.
But he wasn't.... He was just... clean.

"Bolts and bubbles!" Wembley shouted. "Did you see that? Probably some Brathunspar tinker's invention... I bet, if the professor were here, he could tell us how it worked."

Turning towards the strange and magical device, Wembley moved closer, filled with wonder. "Oh! oh! Do me next! Do me!"

Mel grins, letting out the breathe he was holding in. Taking a seat in the arm chair for a brief rest, he leans the sword on the arm and waits for the Golem to get to him.

"Alright boys, I Aint really sure how I be feelin' about this lucky chance. Obviously magic is involved, and I doubt it was built just for us. I be figurin' it either be A Wizard's house, or worse. So dun you be gettin' too comfortable. Be keepin' yer guard up."

Mal soon noticed the others moving about, the other survivors, five in total, plus himself.
"Odd group..." He muttered to himself as he moved to join the ragtag assortment, Saber still resting on his shoulder.

Two Cidal, two Syl, and a Khord. Seemed he was the only human.
He recognized a few of them, the Bubbly Wembley and the Khord, Gamard namely. The Cidal was a talkative little bugger, and kept many of the men entertained in their down time, even when he didn't mean to. Easy enough to get along with, but Mal had no Idea how he had managed to survive.
And Gamard, the very expressive Cleric. Though he had not spoken to the Khord, he had seen enough of the stout little fellow to know he would prefer to keep it as such.
Not that he was racist, mind. He just didn't like Khords.

For most of the day, the Swashbuckler kept to himself, answering only when he needed, his mind occupied on finding another surviving crew member. But as the hours passed, he gave up on that hope, and sighed. It seemed his lady of the Sea had smiled only on him and this.... group.

Near sun down, they finally found something. Not what they had hoped, by any means, but something. A door, in the center of the island.

“Well now,” the Syl with the stick said with a smile, “shall we see what lies beneath? Perhaps we can find out what happened to the other people that appear to have been shipwrecked here before us.” Referring to the obvious signs of other ship and boat wreckage that was scattered about the island.

"One other thing," he added before there was an answer, "who is leader here?"

"I'll lead this party! Oh! Oh! Pick me, Alan! Pick me! I can do it!" The excitable Wembley volunteered happily, drawing a smile from Mal.

Speaking up for the first time to the others, Mal leans on the wall before the door and says, "It hardly matters, so long as we all be knowin' we'll need each other to survive... assumin' that is even an option at this point. If'n we keep a warrior at each end o' the group, and ya magical beings in the center, we should be fine."
He pauses, looking at the group before him. None were near equipped for an adventure of any kind, himself included.
"I be willin' to take point, if'n you be willin' to guard the rear, Syl" He says to Crow, nodding to the bow. "You bein' the best armed to help any position, 'specially bein' most o' the others are short enough to shoot over."

((I know Crow aint posted in yet, jus getting somethin in there. ))

If i may make a suggestion to you, Ody, I would recommend a Create water spell from time to time, as all we have access to is salt water.
Just my 2 cents.

Subject: Rough Day

Salt... That was Mal's first sensation. The taste of salt. Sea Water, obviously. He had tasted it for the past 14 years, every blasted day. It was a taste, a smell that comforted him at present.
Shifting his sore body slightly, his second and third sensation came all at once. The wet clothes hanging heavily to his sore body, and the feel of sand under his head and hands, the sundered chunk of deck wood still under most of his body.
And then a small wave hit him, causing him to choke and make himself sit up.
Alright... Time to open the eyes, tired as he was. As his eyelids cracked open, they shut again quickly. The sun wasn't exactly bright and shining, but at this point, he felt there was little that wouldn't cause him irritation.
Groaning and stretching, the man tried again, and was able to maintain a squint as he looked around.
"What a bloody run o' luck I be havin'..." He growled, slowly rising to his feet. The damned place was all but barren!
Sighing as he came to accept that this place would likely be his tomb, the wrecked bits of ship only souring the Swashbuckler's mood more, Mal drooped to grab his wide-brimmed red hat, growling gain as he saw the Plume was ruined from it's ride on the waves.
Placing the soaked hat on his head, he steps away from the water's edge, hardly bothered by being wet, though the cold was quite annoying.

"Go back to Pardinal, I says.... See yer old home, I says.... What can go wrong, I says! Bah, this bloody figures. Knew it be bad luck to sail on a ship named fer bait..." The man grumbled to himself as he moves along the beach in search of anything useful, or any other survivors.

"Dear Cardista, I pray it wasn't me own offendings that made ye do this. I pray to ye, if it was not me doings that called yer wrath, that you be with me, 'n' guide me to salvation. Though I be yer humble servant, Ye saw fit to keep me from drownin', and I hope to continue on livin'. Dear Mistress, I beg ye don't let me die on this god-forsaken plot o' land. Amen..." Mal continues to mumble to himself, eyes down as he wanders, unaware of those few survivors that he DOES pass in his search of items, namely weapons, food, or ANYTHING dry.......

His search was not in vain as, not much further, he came across the hilt of a Saber sticking crookedly out of the sand, hardly above the water. Looking to the sea, he smiles. He had his sign....

Drawing the weapon from the sand, he inspects the blade briefly before moving on, the saber resting on his shoulder, and gripped with the right hand.

"D'you need backup?" Hodges heard Riggs call behind him, and turns to look at the clone.

"Aye, we are all going to need backup, but we will do better if we center ourselves in one room. As that is impossible while guarding the door AND using the comms, I suggest you guard that door way and call out if you see anything." He responded quickly, suppressing his own fears as much as possible by assuming just a bit of command. Opening up his helmet comm, so those around him could all hear, he begins, "Alright troopers. This is going to be a tough fight. And do not doubt, we will be fighting. We... May not survive. But I think I speak for all of us when I say we aren't going to give these gear heads an easy victory. And IF we can hold out until backup arrives, I want them to see a pile of scrap metal so high, they can build a new ship out of it." He grins to himself, shutting down the comm and adjusting his grip on his rifle, nodding to Slate.

Will either play a fighter or a thief.

Hodges' eyes slowly shift to the ceiling as he hears faint metal clankings, likely droid feet.

'Guys, we have a problem...' He hears Slate say.

"Slate.... start looking around for a vent or access hatch...." Hodges orders. "Tell the others to do the same."

The fighter himself remained where he stood, in case it was just a diversion, though he searched the seeable area of ceiling for any place they might enter. If the droids were seperating to surround them, their odds were even smaller than before. No army can fight a battle on two fronts... Let alone half a dozen men.....

The Kiffar Mercenary used the time he had to contemplate the many options that were before him, the possible angles to play in the near future, the possible profits.... The possible kills. There were always a hundred ways to play something, and Sellikus always preferred to consider them all. As was the way of a warzone, many of these paths he perceived involved him having to escape this planet alone, leaving his team of likely dead squad mates behind. Yet there were a few that he forsaw that would get them all out in one piece. Not like the mangled trooper that he now casually stepped over, taking only enough time to grab up the fallen trooper's blaster rifle as he holsters his pistols. Best to save ammo, he figured, ignoring any looks his squadmates might cast his way.
He was a Mercenary. A Warrior. And he would survive this, even if he had to do some things that many would deem unforgivable.....

Hodges didn't bother looking at Slate as he shrugged, listening. "Who's to say? Discipline has fallen in our time here, and I wouldn't be surprised if they are all simply yelling at each other in there." He chuckles, checking his rifle's scope for the third time in the past few minutes.
"Likely due to lack of a real commanding officer." He adds, quiet enough that only Slate can hear.
Clearing his throat, he says louder, "Best you don't even worry about the Comms. Me and you, our jobs are the same either way. Kill anything that comes through that door to give the others as much time as possible. Until that changes, just keep your eyes ahead and your finger on your trigger."

Once everyone is seated and has ordered their breakfast Alru motions to the job board, which as you can plainly see is close to bare. "Slim pickings today fellas, only 2 jobs posted up there, and one has already been claimed by those damned Blue Wind fools. I swear they always seem to get to the best paying jobs before we can get in here."

Pausing briefly to take another bite of his biscuits and gravy he looks again to the board, "I went ahead and claimed the remaining job for us, we need any work we can get at this point. It doesn't pay well, but it seems simple enough. Apparently the local fauna has started acting strangely, though the poster doesn't go into detail as how exactly they are acting strangely, and several locals have pooled together their meager wages to hire someone to investigate and see if the cause can be determined." He pauses briefly, his gaze locked somewhere in the distance, if you follow his gaze you notice that the barmaid he was flirting with has bent over to pick up something and his gaze is locked on her hind quarters.

It is Kal'ar who finally pulls his attention back to the matter at hand by slamming his tankard back on the table after taking a long drink. Shaking his head the Al Bhed turns back to the group, "So all you have to do is head north beyond the Keep and see if you can determine what is causing the wildlife to act strangely; any questions?"

Kal'Ar sighs. He had hoped for more. But, he supposed work was work. He had no questions. Sounded simple enough. He stands, and finishes his drink while he waits for the others to ask something, his own hand checking his pouch, sighing at the low number of Gil inside. It would be an interesting trip, anyways.....

Kal'Ar chuckles as the bubbly little thief scurried ahead of him into the building, and follows, ignoring the usual glances of recognition and awe that were always present when he arrived anywhere. His gaze locked on Alru almost immediately, but he decided to ignore the Al Bhed until he had recieved a drink.
Signalling for a passing waitress, he orders a Tankard of whatever was being sold the most today, then waited for Nia to place her order before dropping a handful of Gil on the woman's tray.
"Keep the change, eh?" he growls, and goes to say something to his small companion when he noticed the small Nu Mou approach with a smile, and returns it with a nod.

"Good morning, children, I hope you slept well. Isn't it beautiful out there?" Nefrelle greeted, turning to look at Kal'Ar. "You look like you're ready to get going; I must admit I am too. Perhaps, perhaps they will have a job or two for us today."

The Ronso nodded in agreement. "Aye, that little Al Bhed man had better have something. I only have so much Gil left, you know." He chuckles and continues, "But now that you are here, we can go find out, rather then speculate..."

Hodges smiles under his helmet as the whining trooper stands, loading his weapon and seeming to grow a pair. Ya, they could fight. They would fight. But Hodges held no hope of victory. Only the determination that when they finally did fall, there would be alot less clankers in the galaxy.
Simply nodding to the trooper next to him, he looks back to the blast door. He didn't even truly know if they were still out there, but he wasn't about to drop his guard.
He had been trained in unarmed combat, but with Droids not feeling pain, it did him little good. Still, he supposed he had sufficient training with his rifle, and if it came to it, he would break a few gears off.
He glanced side-long at the trooper next to him. The fearful ally would likely die when the fight started. But then, odds were, so would the rest of them...
"Riggs! Gyro! Whoever! How's that comm coming!?" Hodges yells over his shoulder. If backup was en route, this would be alot simpler....
