"And so is it with me..."

Rose turned and brushed her lips against his neck.

She stayed there for awhile before opening her mouth and biting down softly.

His eyes shot open...and he slowly went limp.

Rose pulled back and sliced open her wrists.

She put it to his mouth and let the blood flow into it.

Travis wasnt sure if it was pain...maybe is was happiness...or sadness. But it was warm and he felt it in his mouth. It didnt feel like anything solid...more like an emotion...

Rose pulled her hand back.

'Give it a few minutes...'

His eyes were still Hazel...but they were brighter. He looked at Rose and saw her more clearly then he evr had. It was like the world in High Definition. She wasnt so pale anymore...something about his eyes darkened her skin tone ever so slightly.

New smells scremed into his nose...into his mind. They were overwhelming. He panicked trying to comprehend them all...then he sorted them out. He identified every single one...although some he had never smelt before.

He smelt the trail of their friends...his son...his son smelt so strong...but it was a strange smell. Not sweet, not sour...just neutral...but so clear. It was indescribabale.

"Travis." Rose said.

She touched his face, smiling alittle.

"You do remember, don't you?"

"I would never want to forget..."

He hugged her..more tightly then he had even hugged his son. He held her at arms leght at look at her again. She was so much richer with color...it was odd...the world was so much..clearer. He was thinking clearer, he flet like he was young again...

"If you want to change ages, just think it Travis. Wish it."

Rose smiled warmly at him.

"You can alter your appearance the same way."

"I like me just the way I am..."

He still looked 40, but he felt 17. He felt like jumping, throwing random things, running faster than he ever had...but he knew he had to keep this a secret from Seth and Derric...mostly Derric, but he figured his secret wouldnt last long...at least not with his son. If Vampires would smell Lycans...then Lycans could smell Vampires. However it was an interesting concept to see how long he could fool Seth.

"So do I."

Rose smiled and kissed him, truly, before standing up.

"Lets get backt o HQ...fast as we can go...its getting late, and I'm tired."

He rubbed his lips and looked at Rose playfully.

Rose frowned alittle at him.

"Don't mess with me." She said and smiled, turning.

In the blink of an eye, Rose was gone. Running back to HQ.

Before he was about to take off, he smelt something..it smelt like the office he used to work in, but a bit more sterile. He followed his nose to the scent and found it was coming from the corpse of Dominic, still lying headless on the ground. He picking through a jacket pocket...nothing. Then he tore off Dominics gloves...a folded peice of paper was inside them...he read it..and gasped. As fast as he could go...he ran after Rose.

News like this could not wait.
