"Seth..."

Max reached up, cupping his face.

"I'm so sorry."

She kissed him softly.

"I think you should know my mother was a lycan." Max whispered. Her legs gave out, but she stayed awake.

Somehow, Seth let out a small laugh. Am I the only one with an all human past?

Seth picked up Max, and carried her to a bed. He gently laid her down, and looked at her. "Max, I don't mean to sound abrasive, but I don't care who your parents were. I know who you are though, and that's all that matters. Now I want you to rest, and get your strength back."

Travis has silenced himself. He knew his friends cared for him, but were too stubborn to do what was best for him and the rest of them.

With what little strenght he had left, he broke the binding on his left arm. Using his long arms he reached for the keycard and unlocked the rest of the bindings.

The room was unescapable, but a bed, a fridge, and a simple kitchen made it hospitible. He wandered over to the fridge and opened it, finding nothing that could satisfy him, for he could not stomach human food any more. He was starving, all of the nights activity had drained him of what little energy he had. If he didn't find blood quickly, it was possible he could faint or even die.

Max's arm started to heal as she stared at him. She sighed a bit.

"I miss her so much..."

Her head snapped up. "Travis."

Max was up and her body blurred. A growling puma sat there, golden-brown fur bristling.

The puma looked at him.

She let out a low growl and jumped down, heading for Travis's room.

Travis was beginning to cough. His eyes shot red and his pupils dialated. His fangs started to extend outward. His senses expanded, and he smelt Lycan...delicious Lycan. He stood up and smiled a crooked smile. Without a sound, he turned invisible. His entire being dissapeared, and he waited for the approaching Lycan to throw itself foolishly into the room so he could feed off of it.

He had no idea who was really coming, he was driven by a sick instinct.

Max padded into the room and looked around. She hissed and turned around to run back to Seth.

Travis had missed the Lycan by only inches, but it left the door open open after it had come bounding through. He followed it out into the hall, and saw it in front of Seth. Human blood was delicious, almost as good as Lycan blood. He decided he would drain both of them. Still, invisible, he snuck up behind the Lycan, who sat in front of Seth looking at him oddly.

"Rose, we have a problem with Travis. For some reason he's going crazy. He tried to kill me earlier, and god knows what he's going to try this time. We need to keep a close eye on him."

Seth still held his .45. He was willing to injure travis if necessary.

Travis smiled, and he decided to feast on the Lycan first. He slunk up silently behind it and slowly lowered his fangs to its jugular, still invisible. Just as he was about to make contanct with the skin and draw blood, he broke the invisibility cloak and his head became visible.

Max spotted the movement and whirled around. She shifted and stared at him, frozen.

Travis grew angry with his prey. With a single sweep of his hand heflung the Lycan against the far wall and leaped at Seth.

"Seth!"

Max flung herself in front of him. She let out a low growl.

Seth saw Travis leap towards him, and he felt anger well up inside of him. When he saw Rose recover and jump in front of him, he grabbed her from behind, taking both of them onto the ground. He waited until Travis was nearly over them, and he pointed his gun upwards and fired. He had no clue if he hit.

Blood splashed on her face. She saw Travis freeze: neck shot. She put a hand on the paralyzed Travis. "Let's get him back."
