She smiled at him, and for a second, something truly warm flashed through her blood red eyes.

"Well, that is true perhaps. If I had no heart, you'd be dead. Or is it that if I had a heart, I would've killed you, to not make you live with the memory?"

Ciridia frowned and turned away again.

"You make my life so complicated."

"Believe me, the feeling mutual Lyca. And not just with you, but with Kitten and Pale Rose as well. Nothing's been simple since you and your friends showed up."

"Well, at least you and I will never see each other after this."

Ciridia tried to hide the pain in her voice.

"What journey are we even on? I've never heard of any conquest that we have planned, or battle to fight. Are you just here as friends?"

"Survivors, revenge. So and so."

"I bet you regret joining us."

"Hah. Regret? I don't know. That seems like a pretty powerful assumption. After all, it's every man's dream to travel alone with many pretty women."

"I guess Miv and Jessica are pretty. Lamiel is...different."

Ciridia sighed again.

"Mmm, yes." D'Artigo says, as though he's enjoying a delicious snack, not carrying on a conversation. "The four of you are quite pretty."

"Hn."

Ciridia put more distance between them.

"And I thought that just a while ago you were obsessing over how much prettier you were compared to my dashing good looks. Now you deny yourself that?"
