Okay, post is up and Penelope has finally made it to Alex's place. She's subdued her essence to appear more or less mortal, it's likely Smoke will see through that. I figure as supernatural beings both Penelope and Smoke will be able to recognize one another, somewhat at least. Your thoughts Meri?

...I'd forgotten the books... and the fact that I do have an actual character sheet for good ol' Joe that I whipped up while attempting to put some more meat on the character, so to speak.

Anyway... gboy, if you'd like the sheet I have for reference purposes, I'll be happy to wing it your way... Also, not opposed to you revamping the sheet all together and tailoring Joe your own vision.

Since Janelle doesn't know how to dampen her signature, it will flare up at times, usually in response to heightened emotions. When it does, a person that can sense essence is pretty likely to be either shocked or overwhelmed by just how big it is, as Meri and Eol have been playing so far

In numeric terms, Janelle has a total of about 78 Essence points...

I was thinking that to describe it, perhaps one should consider that it is quite raw, and perhaps somewhat uncontrolled, yet powerful. Sort of like lightning; in storms, lightning is erratic and uncontrolled, but is very powerful, and when one controls it in the case of electricity, there is so much that is then possible.

She run's insight on most new people, especially those that show signs of gifted-ness, so yeah she'll recognize what Penelope is, and likewise she'll know what Smoke is.
Question is does she let Alex know, or does she let him find out for himself?

Oh yes, and welcome gboy, can't wait to see what Ol' Joe is up to!

I'm sorry to interrupt the scene between Alex and Penelope, but although I was just going to have Janelle tape up her 'wards' around the house, the idea unfolded, and the post developed to what it is now

Unfortunately, I'm not sure if Alex is going to realize Janelle's talking about a STAGE magician

... I had a post whipped up here, was going to have Smoke lead Rosie to the tape, but you were too quick Rer... lol... adjusted appropriatly though.

I love her thinking of Alex as a stage magician though. Can Smoke be his assistant? Wouldn't she look cute in a bathing suit? hehe...

I am interested to see how Pen. responds to the threatening gray puff ball

There are so many layers of things going on in this room, it's great. But poor Alex might be on overload right now, how many bottles of scotch does he have hidden in that shop? Cuz he might feel a bit thirsty here pretty soon.

...because I was just thinking about that very question, myself. I kind of figure that Alex has whatever's left in the bottle above the kitchen sink (which, I don't think is more than enough to fill the empty flask in his hip pocket, atm). Could get to be a bad scene before long, eh?

And I'm just loving the sudden complications... A typical day-in-the-life-of-Alex, it seems!

Is this an elaborately coordinated effort to nag me about being late to post in AoD? XD There's been like 3 decent sized updates since I checked last!
