"Of course not." Rose closed her eyes and tilted her head.

He lunged, almost too hungrily, and he plunged into her neck, drawing sweet and delicious blood. He didn't want to stop. It was the best blood he'd ever had.

He pulled himself away, and without a word, flipped over and dove into her. It seemed very familiar now. Every ripple and muscle he knew like an old friend.

She gasped in surprise and her eyes flashed. Rose grabbed his shoulders to help with steady her vision.

He wasn't interested in romance anymore. He was too caught up in the feeling of her. Her skin...her hair, her mouth...everything was perfect.

He was almost there, just a little longer with no interupptions. If they were meant to have a child, then nothing bad would happen to ruin this moment.

Rose gasped again and clung to him tighter. She couldn't quite follow his pace, lost in how quickly he had changed.

Finally...

The surge ran through his entire body. He shuddered, convulsed, and emptied himself. He almost shot backwards out of her. He fell back on the bed panting like a tired dog. He had just experienced the most incredible moment of his entire life.

He looked down the lenght of his body at Rose, who was still in the same position. She was breathing so heavily, he couldn't see her face past her undulating stomach.

Rose rolled off her back and buried her face in the bed. "Travis..." Rose's voice was breathy and she couldn't raise her head for a few seconds.

"W...What...?"

He couldn't breathe. He was so shocked, that he had lost all of his breath.

"Vampire partners are very fertile." Her breathing was even again and she looked at him. Her eyes were turning back to the original different colored eyes.

"And...isn't that what we want?"

He was still panting. How she could possibly have regained herself so quickly he did not know.

"Yes, but I still wanted you to know." She wasn't even breathing now. "We also carry half of a human mother's time."

"Well, that gives me 4 and a half months to enjoy being me..."

Another thought just occured to him.

"If...I actually managed to impregnate you...should we marry?"

He picked up his shirt from the floor, and, without thinking, used it to clean himself.

'Damnit...' he thought to himself.

"If that's what you want." She crossed the room to her closet and pulled on a long red shirt that went to her knees.

"I do...but you don't sound so sure."

He decided to change the subject. He was sad to see her cover herself, but he knew it was time they got back to the other two, wherever they were.

"So...where are your folks? Or whoever's incharge of this place..."

"My parents are talking with Kane." Rose did want to marry him, but he needed a ring.
