Jessica rolled her eyes. "I'm one of the best trackor among the lycan. If she can keep me off her trail, do you think anyone else can find her?"

"She took special preparation to ward off Lycan trackers. We have another way to track people. Us vampires, that is. I can smell you from here. Your blood, that is. If this, Julia, gets one cut on her, I'll be able to smell her just as clearly as you can. Blood has a strong smell."

A snarl escape Jessica lips and her face was one of complete fury. Her amber eyes flash in anger. Then she closed her eyes and forced herself to relax. She said through locked teeth "I wouldn't try to hunt her if I were you."

"I'm not saying I would. I'm saying I could. Which means that others could as well. I'm just vocalizing my opinion that I don't like this."

"Just don't try anything. I'm protective of Julia. No one going to hurt her."

"Can you offer protection against that which you cannot see? Or how about that which you cannot touch. Kitten, you have to learn that there are some things in life that you let go of. You'll be happier if you learn that before you have to let something - or someone- go."

"Tell me something. Have you ever promised someone you alway protect them? Even if it meant death for you? Would you let them go just because you couldn't find them?"

"Funny you should ask that. Yes, I did promise someone that. Yes, because I died, she died. She, however, wasn't raised as a Vampire like I was. Yes, I let it go. There are better things to do in life than mourn for lost loves."

"Well I'm not Dead, She isn't. And She not going to till she reaches an old age."

"Or until someone comes along with a sword and gets scared by the intelligent cat. Or is she a dog? Trust me, not everything is as easy as it seems."

Jessica caught the smell again. The scent was very strong. Jessica looked towards the scent. Julia was watching the two of them. She wasn't paying attention to Jessica but rather to D'Artigo. She was balanced on a tree branch. Jessica called "Julia!" Julia jumped which caused her to fall off the tree branch. Now Julia was hidden from sight.

With a loud crash, the Lycan came down. D'Artigo simply shook his head. "Oh dear... she got a cut in that fall. I can smell it from here. You know, I hadn't noticed her. If you hadn't called out, I probably still wouldn't have." D'Artigo chuckles. This whole situation was rather amusing.

Julia was still there. Jessica could tell that. Julia was now annoyed, Jessica chuckled.

"Well, if this whole situation is so humorous to you, let's go meet your little friend, shall we?" D'Artigo turns and starts casually walking towards the scent. Though it appeared casual, he was ready for anything to jump out at him.

Julia saw the masked one coming. "Oh great a vampire. Just my luck." she muttered to herself. What was a Lycan doing with a vampire? She started to tip toe away hoping the other Lycan would stop him.
