Miv looked at him cautiosly. "I think we proved I can fight."

"I think we proved you can fight. I don't think we've proved you can win, but I think we can prove you can fight."

"Is that an, 'I quit' or do you want to continue?"

Miv smiled. "How is it you of all people can make me smile?"

"I know the way you think. Like you, I lust for blood. So, I know what to say. Now, do you give in, or no?"

"Very well." Miv curtsied. "I have been beaten. What do you require of me?"

"Alright. You give. If I was malicious, then you might be dead by now. But, as it is, I'm not, so you're alive. We'll keep this up for a while. But for now... you did alright."

Miv blinked. "Custom proclaims you name a prize for besting me."

"Custom? What kind of custom? I have never heard about this. And I've fought a lot of fights."

"Royal custom. The way I was brought up."

"Well. Then I guess I shall take advantage of this oppourtunity. Now, I will make my request."

"I want you to be stronger. Be strong willed, and don't second guess. Is that good enough of a request, or must it be a physical thing?"

"That'll do. Do you want blood as well?" Miv tilted her head, exposing her neck.

"The blood of a fellow vampire? I would never request such a thing. That would be revolting."

Miv's eyes narrowed. "It symbolizes great trust."

"No, I don't think so. I view it as a form of cannibalism." D'Artigo's eyes return to normal, and his fangs scrape along his mask, returning to his mouth.

She sighed. "You had been away too long. Perhaps you should have stayed in the kingdom."
