He's going to at least scout things out and try to determine if the task is doable without it being too risky. If it appears to be easy enough to accomplish, he'll absolutely give it a go.

Also, re: the ebonwood rod: Does it look like anything he's seen before and/or can he guesstimate its purpose?

If that's the case I think we completed the circle. Campaign over guys, we did it.

Sorry folks.  I didn't get home last night until almost nine, put up groceries, grabbed quick food, then had to run back out to pick up a teen we are helping with rides to and from work.  Then it was time to get the kids to bed, and suddenly, it was past 11 PM.  

I'll get the library post up today, plus move the game into the next day.  As a reminder to those who aren't accustomed to forum-based games - you can backpost to your heart's content to do fun narrative stuff, etc.  But please do not move ahead on the timeline unless you check with me first.  

Right now, we are in what is essentially the prologue, so there's not much danger around.  But you can never know... what if someone attempted to assasinate Tansathil during the night, what if you're on the road and the camp gets attacked while people are sleeping, what is some refugee is going to stumble into your way in middle of a boring day, etc, etc, etc.

We've had a couple players take some minor liberties with the timeline so far.  Again, this is the prologue, so there's no harm done.  I'd just hate for someone to put in the time and effort down the road to bang out a post only to discover that what they wrote had to be deleted or seriously edited!
