The passed out Seth was woken by the roar of tiger-Travis. He jumped up, and stared at the tiger. "We get it. Could you keep it quieter? I'm pretty sure every Lycan in a ten mile radius just heard you. Speaking of, where is your son?"

Kannizan stared at the dim light of the other campfire. "So what are we doing here? The group is obviously being split into factions. We don't know whether to press on or go back, and even the factions are loosely held together." He didn't mean to always sound so pessimistic. That's just how his thoughts came out. "At this point, anyone who can bend bearspaw into obedience is a strong enough leader. But it's about time for us to turn in. Ether, do you want first watch?"

Bezmir walked with his wolf, playing like a child with a dog. "Oh, so we're naming them? Well, I'm gonna name mine...Frog." He wasn't sure why Frog, it just came to mind. He followed close behind Zau and Root, but far enough away so Frog wouldn't bother them. Then he remembered. He forgot Shepherd.
He ran back and attempted to pick up his friend. They both ended up on the ground. Bezmir winced at his already sore muscles and asked "My gosh, Shepherd. Are you heavy enough?"

Seth rolled over and looked at everybody. Either they were swaying, or the room was moving. He couldn't tell. As he looked, he realized the corners of his vision were going black. He knew what was coming.
His eyes closed completely, and he passed out without a sound.

"I'm staying here. I don't trust you, cleric, so I won't be letting out sight for a while." Kannizan finally looked up and straight at Ether. "Let them go. They've got pride, so we won't change their minds." He played with his beard a little bit, and he continued speaking. "The leader I believe we need is one that is charismatic, patient, and logical. I don't see much of either in you, Ether. Or any of us, really. But especially not me. I'm too Dwarfish."

Seth looked at the bottle in his hand, and then at the shot glass. He sat the glass down, and decided to just go bottle up. Without food, the liquor went straight to his head, and he felt a tiny bit off balance. He looked at tiger-Travis, and almost started laughing.
He had just chugged half the bottle.

"Ether, look. Don't take this hard, but I think the party needs a leader who thinks rationally, not according to a mantra. I respect others religions as much as I can, but I'm sure you know that your choice left a sour taste in my mouth. If the group decides on you as a leader, then fine. I'll follow. But I'll do so grudgingly." He hadn't even looked up when he spoke.

"we're already a good few days out. Turning around will cost valuable time, food, and gold. Also, don't we have a time limit to fulfill this quest? I'd say better to press on, clear the place, loot it nice, then if they say we didn't fulfill the will, we'd still have what we looted. However, if we turn back and run out of time, it's all loss, no gain."
Kannizan was running his thumb along the blade of his ax, checking the sharpness of it. He was impressed with what he felt. He wished he'd gotten a chance to use it.

Kannizan watched as the fire blazed. He was still angry about earlier, but he was determined not to bring it up unless someone else did.
He watched as Ether restored vitality to the group, and he couldn't help but laugh. One minute, death. The next, salvation.
Little conversation had occured thus far, so Kannizan spoke up. "So what next? We have no heir, there isn't even a semblance of unity, and nobody seems to have be even slightly certain of what to do next. I believe that we should elect someone right here, right now, and continue on."

Seth was pacing his office. He'd been doing that quite a lot recently. Too many thoughts were flooding into his mind. Max, money, travis' predicament, Rose's storming out, this battle, etc.
The only way he knew to keep his mind busy was to work on a gun. He inspected that ivory handled pistol. The crafstmanship was remarkable. The slide stuck a little, but other than that, it worked fine. A little grease would take care of that.
Now that he did that, Seth sat back, mentally preparing himself.

This bit would be weird. He had been noticing Max lately. He got funny feelings when he was around her. This next battle, he knew he had more to do then kill as many Lycans as possible. He had to make sure Max stayed alive.
As she stepped closer, he had to refrain from reaching out a hand towards her.
He wasn't gun shy. He had no problems with public speaking. But pretty girls scared the living mess out of him.
