They probably won't cook my ramen right.

He spun his sling, letting a pebble bonk into the archangels forehead.

"Then catch me!"

He took off running, dodging through trees, foxholes, anything that looked remotely fun doing.

He even forgot he was being chased and stopped to watch an ant carry a beetle.

Kannizan headed down the stairs, and into the forge room. The heat felt comforting, as did the grip of the various smithing hammers. Hammers he knew well. He removed his chain mail, taking care around the fractured links. As he heated them up, be began to meticulously beat them back into place, and smelting them together. He polished his gloves and boots, waiting for the iron to cool. Water wouldn't do any good, it would make it harden way too fast. He hated being in the limelight. So why was he teaching? He knew, partly, it was because of a bet he lost to Brenan, but he also knew it's because he missed the adventure of being a young dwarf, so he lived vicariously through all his students.

He knew Calvin would be something special.

"Why a Kender!"

Beroo forgot he was supposed to be hiding. The other group grew boring, especially when there was eavesdropping to be done.

Darn those Kender.

I live in Goldsboro, Wayne County, North Carolina.

I came across the Inn looking for DnD resources a few years ago. I had a profile, but I got side tracked and left for a while, and forgot the password.

I bet a good 50 bucks you won't make it.

And yeah, you my homie.

Dancer turned quick.

"Why am I not surprised? That's why I didn't stay 20 in the Army. They're always pulling s**t."

He picked up Tyson.

"Come on. It's time to go. Someone grab the pilot. Mi-kyeong, I'll need you to watch him. Make sure he doesn't try to run. Everybody, move out."

He watched the medic check his gun and nod. The boy seemed to know what he was doing.

At least he did, until the dog ripped his face off. Four canines leaped from gutters in the street, one tackling Tyson and tearing at his face. The screams lasted about two seconds, and then he was dead. Dancer put two beretta rounds into the beast, sending it sprawling, and turned to run.

Kannizan approached up beside Lakota. "Good day, miss. Ye startin' em out early this year?" He looked at all the recruits in front of him, and stood back to watch Lakota's display. They looked like a sorry lot, but they'd do with some training.

As Lakota did her thing, he took a look at his equipment. His axes looked nice, keen edges. His chainmail could use a bit of work though. He shrugged as he left, heading towards the forge in the basement. He needed to do something with his broken chains.

Argent laughed.

"Don't swell up now, boy. A sad song and a toast is always welcome to a drunk pirate, no matter the artist. I'm just happy to know that you had the sense to obey the request, as that is what wins the bread for a bard, is it not?"

He smiled, letting his rotten teeth show through. The seas had been rough on his hygeine, but he didn't care. He walked back into the crowd, thoroughly enjoying himself for the night. He nodded at a lady that was again speaking to the bard. Velox, eh. He'd have to remember that one.

Beroo hadn't fled completely away.

He sat in the forest, hidden, watching the scene unfold. And he was completely shocked.

These people were horny!

He left them to privacy and came back to the camp. He plopped down in front of Ella and began asking her questions again.

"So where are you headed to? How many of you are there? Can I come?"

"Bah! Blast the Dracos. There all extinct, while us Dwarves aren't. That should tell ye who's the better builders!"

Kannizan enjoyed his debates with Calvin. The boy read a lot for a 15 year old paladin.

"You suck up."

Kannizan stared up at the academy in the distance. He'd been there many years, and it still amazed him.

He spoke to Calvin.

"That's Dwarven architecture for ye, laddie."

Kannizan smiled through his beard.

"Good lad. Now go ahead. I'm an old Dwarf, and you're anxious to get there. I don't need ye to walk by me side."

"Aye, lad. Tis nice to work out of that forge. M'boy can have it!" He spotted the old case, and raised an eyebrow.

"Ah, that reminds me. I've got ye a present, laddie. C'me 'ere. Ah, there ye are."

It was a chain, with two crossed blades dangling as decoration.

"If you pay attention, one looks like yer old blade, and the other is Brenans. Just to make sure you remember 'im well."

Kannizan was trotting his way to the school, as well. He heard the steps quick, and turned to see Calvin walking with speed down the road.

"Well, oi there Calvin. I see yer in a bit of a 'urry to get to school, aren't ya?"

He'd known Calvin so long, he'd seen the boy grow up from a wee little infant to a teenager, growing ready to become a man.

Did this old Dwarf some good.

Beroo looked at them.

"Well, you two looked busy. So, I'm gonna go talk to the werewolf more. She liked me. Oh, by the way, these belong to one of you two."

He handed back a hair clip and a knife.

The pirate waded through the sea of men towards the bard.

"Well, Velox. Let me buy you a drink. Ale for this man!"

He grabbed a mug from the waitress and sat it next to Velox.

"Th'names Argent Ra'vhirr. Pleased to make your acquaintance."

Beroo was amazed.

How did she know!

As he came bouncing out of the trees, he was talking a thousand miles an hour.

"Hi, I'm bobledoboingyberoo! Can I pull your wings? Cool sword. Oh, you're a demon. Do you have a cool tail?"

Beroo knew exactly what he was talking about.

For some reason, he giggled. It wasn't loud, but clearly audible. His grin disappeared as he realized they probably heard it.

Beroo slipped out of Rajini's grasp and followed Artura, silent as he could be. He stayed hidden in the trees as he saw her start speaking to the archangel, who was covered in blood.

Maybe he shouldn't tug that one's wings.

Beroo was having fun. He got to hug a werewolf.

Ahh, life was good. Except all his pouches were on the ground now. And he saw a dagger that wasn't his, and he could've sworn he'd seen it on Rajini's belt earlier.

She must've dropped it.

Dancer sighed and tossed his phone to Mi-Kyeong. He kept checking the door to make sure the coast was clear. He looked at Tyson for a second.

"Private, gather your s**t. Your coming with us for a little ways. I'm a little rusty on my medic skills. You can ask the lady about that one."
