Seth was completely and totally startled. Everything had happened so fast. He was looking for the super soldier and it was right in front of him. "Uhmmm...guys. Can the Lycan gene remain dormant? If it could, Travis could've had one Lycan ancestor 500 years back, and the gene have just been reccessive."

"Max, do Lycan's have any special invisibility powers, or some super stealth abilities that might be similar? There might be a chance, Travis, that you have been infected with both. I did research on the topic, and they said that Lycan blood stays instable for about 72 hours. I'm hoping that doesn't mean it can mix with Vampire blood." Seth looked at Travis. When Max released the hug and turned to face the small man, Seth lifted the ivory handled pistol to the strangers head level. When he started speaking, he didn't trust it. Lycans already knew who each of them were, it would be too easy for them to make up a story like that. He walked forward and put the muzzle of the handgun to his forehead. "Prove that you're Travis."

Seth looked down. He could plan out a battle, but his tactics with people were not that good. "I'm sorry to hear that. I know how you feel though. I had an older brother. He was 30. He was a reporter, got killed by friendly fire in Iraq the year I was discharged." Seth felt bad for her. It wasn't so much pity, as a desire to do something to help her through. "Just give it time, and you'll see his memory as strength, and it'll stop hurting as much. Trust me." He wasn't sure if she really felt that way, but that's what people always told people. It had to work here.

Seth sat up thinking. He did a lot of research on the topic. nothing came to him. He was getting frustrated. out of curiosity, he located a newspaper dated to his attack.
Late last night, 25 U.S. Marines were attacked by what appears to be a giant Camel Spider with enhanced capabilities. Many people believe it to be evolution, but after a piece of flesh was observed, it was matched to examples of Lycanthropy discovered in Italy last year. Both studies have been shipped to a laboratory built by Dr. Maxamilion Cauldwell, who made no statement as to why.
So other people had to know where this was going on. Seth knew he had to get it, and he would simply go through the good Doctor.

It would have to be more local...guys, give me a moment. I'm going to do some research." Seth popped open the laptop and starting talking to himself. "Let's see....steady climate...privacy....natural resources....guys, come here. It says that there has been increasing activity around the great lakes area. Also, Michigan has had the highest death rate this past year than ever before. How widespread is this war? Is it global?"
Seth looked at Rose. "As far as your vampire blood goes, I'll see what connections I can pull. There's a good chance it passed through the Black Market. I'll check."

Seth knew there was a battle coming up. He knelt down to offer a quick word of prayer.
"Dear lord, these deeds we do so others may live."
It was quick and concise. He knew there would probably be humans working with the Lycans. Seth's military training should prove adequate to handle them. He would have to talk to everyone later. They just had to wait for Rose and Travis.

Seth had an array of weapons lined for the crippling blow they planned to give the lycans. He was setting out many guns and knives so people could take their pick and prepare to move out. He had put a brace on his knee so that he could support himself without much problem.
