It took just a bit of self control to keep the smirk off of Tristan's face. He didn't blame the man for being nervous in front of the she-elf. Having known her as long as he had though, he could read a bit deeper into her expression, especially when he wasn't the one she was trying to shut out. A flicker of frustration, a moment to process how it fit into her schemes, and then back to the cool disdain she offered.... well, everyone. And in the case, all hidden under a layer of haughtiness, backed by her usual confidence. No wonder the man was intimidated.

He allowd the smirk to form as she passed, trailing fingers along one of his bracers. Its about that time again, I suppose. He wondered if he'd be able to catch the attempt this time around. Probably not, as fuzzy as his thinking had been lately. He'd have to be sure to get them back quick this time.

Feeling no need to see the man hanged, Tristan turned and followed after Calopee, tipping his hat at the villagers as he did so. He'd had little chance to interact witht he smallest of their number, and he felt it was about time to take her measure. If nothing else, it would be more interesting than Mal's Bootcamp.

Besides, he needed to start sounding out the group. It was time to be moving on, and he had a feeling a few of them would disagree.

I'm a terrible Inn mate.

That said, apparently my subscribe to thread isn't working? Am I the only one with this problem?

Cool update. NIce post Sehanine.

Working on my own. Hoping to do a collab each with Sehanine and Calopee, if their respective players are willing.

My sincere apologies. Things seem to be exploding lately.

.....sometime even metaphorically.

Post is up. Let me know if I need to address any points from previous posts that I may have forgotten.

Subject: The liberty of little attachment.

”…but were ya plannin’ on just…leavin’ those there?"

No. No he hadn't been, if it came to that. Their little group could use the cash. Well, he assumed the others could. He had a bit left over from his previous.... misadventures. Still, it was arms and armor rightfully theirs after the ordeal of the previous night.

He smiled at the man. On the other hand, what need had they of so much metal? Most of it wouldn't see use, and trying to sell it in such a poor area, especially after they had asked for them, wouldn't do the Favored's reputation any good. Even if they did insist on repayment, they wouldn't get much but ressentment, and they had not the means to transport it to somewhere they might have more luck. No, Tristan had no objection to giving the whole lot over.

He drew the line at playing solider though. Or drill seargeant, or whatever the Masked Malfunction was offering. Tipping his hat at his companion he walked away, shooting a pitying smirk at the two men. They had no idea what they were in for. He decided he'd seek out the villagers dealing with the remaining bandit. He was interested to see how they dealt with him.

(((OOC: So... yeah. Exactly whats written.)))

His lips curled into a snarl. Every time the rat-thing spoke, he was seized by an urge to kill it. If it gave him half an excuse, he'd try.

He felt an inexplicable urge to jump to the old man's defense, but held his tongue. That man was not his friend, and indeed could still prove an enemy, or worse, a were. His hands twitched reflexively to blades not present at his side, though he didn't notice.

Deciding he'd had enough of this room, he made preperations to climb down.

(((OOC: Will assisst the old man if he requires it. If not, will just climb down at the first spot in the order not yet claimed.)))

Subject: Red sky at morning is a sailor's... wait... wrong proverb...

This is the first time, reflected Tristan, that I have ever recieved suggestions from the person I'm restraining on how to restrain them better. They happened to be good ones too. He made a mental note of them for in case he ever needed to keep someone immobile again.

Loose ends... tied up, he joined the others for a bit of the good farmer's food. Some ado was made over next steps, but nobody seemed to have a clear direction. Tristan himself was in favor of doing nothing more than awaiting their next job. This one had been a good deal rougher than he liked, but now that it was done it would be good for the fledgling groups burgeoning reputation. Contemplating this, he resoled to spend the next day convincing the others that such a course was the best one.

He was awoken rather earlier than he would've liked by their enchanted friend, who had sometime during the night reverted to unenchanted enemy. Said captive was letting loose a noteworthy, and indeed, educational, stream of profanity. Another mental note was made to remember a gag upon future bindings. Tristan yawned and stretched, accidentally-on-purpose trodding on the man as he made his way outside.

Tristan scanned the farm as he waited for the others. considering what the bandits' apparent goal had been, they'd done a good job of stopping the group. He imagined the farmer wouldn't be overly pleased at the sight of his shed (and whatever was in there) burnt to ash, but there was little to be done about it now.

And it's still a step up from being run off the land, or the whole field going up, I'd say.

He heard the others stirring, making their way out as well, he imagined, when more sound caught his ear, and from the other direction. He turned to see what appeared to be an odd cross between a militia and a lynch mob coming towards them, Isiah at their head.

Shock was apparent in the farmer's voice as he begged to know what had happend to his farm. Pulling his hat down to cover his face, Tristan smirked. Best to let the elf handle this one.

Tristan would like to claim an even share of gold, and the masterwork chain shirt.

He would also request that either Relos or Sehanine be the mouthpiece to the crowd, and that Calopee take any and all necessary measures to keep Mal... restrained. *grin*

He growled louder as the rodent passed near, subsiding when it passed him by without speaking or touching. Had it layed a finger on him, he would have killed it, weapons or no.

He looked around again, frowning as he remembered the elf's words. He generally liked elves, but this one appeared to be loud. Brash. Not endearing qualities to the large Lupin. Determined that the rat wouldn't get everything, if there was anything to get, he set out towards the other end and began looking around, gradually moving about the room, coming no clooser to the vermin than necessary.

(((OOC: Search room for me as well.)))

WAKE UP

His eyes snapped open, though he remained still on the floor. His nose was assaulted, the scent of lycanthropy thick in the air. Had he been captured by them? Did he have enemies among them? Or... was he perhaps one himself?

He shook his head sharply, repressing an urge to growl at the very thought. Just its presence angered him, even if he could not remember why.

His head turned to face the voice. Kobold. Cowardly vermin. He was sure of his assessments, though he cannot recall ever meeting a Kobold, or hearing about any. Who? Where? Something they'd all like to know.

It was at this point the canine realized what was bothering him so. His armor. His blades. Gone. Something important about that, but it was gone from his mind, like everything else. Thinking about it too long hurt.

Another voice. Human. Cautious and courteous. For now.

The third spoke, and this time he growled readily, snarling at the.... thing. This one stank of rodent, to the point of being repugnant. As he stood, he found himself reaching for a weapon he no longer carried, and stopped, confused.

He shook his head again, nostrils flaring as he turned to the final member, whom those words had been addressed to. She smelled of elf. Drow and.... something else? He could not identify it, which just added to his confusion as he looked around, trying to get his bearings.

With no idea where he was or who he was with... or who HE was for that matter, he decided it was most prudent to remain silent, and observe.
