Ok, well I've been thinking of what NPC I should give you. Right now, I'm thinking between a sniper and heavy weapon specialist. What do you guys think? Of course, if you guys would like a different NPC, I'd be happy to change what it is.

Hastily, the Tapien attempted to answer his comlink. On his first attempt, all the Tapien got was a blast of static. After a moment, the Tapien managed to silence it. Fearfully, the Tapien tried again. It took a total of three attempts to finally get the comlink to receive. ON the screen a grainy image of a large armoured humanoid appeared. It began," This is commander Dierkan. To all Tapien forces receiving this, now is the time to engage. It has been heard that an Imperial strike force has been located somewhere in the region." Dierkan paused for a moment. " You must locate this group, as it has the listings of our current troop deployment. The attack begins in one hour." With that, the image of the commander vanished.

The Tapien recoiled from Sellikus. It said, " That's be all that it got! No more..."

"You in the bushes!" commanded Cam, " Out now!!" Within seconds, a stormtrooper and a scout trooper came out of the bushes.

The stormtrooper immediately recognized Cam's rank. "Sergeant!" He said while he and the scout trooper saluted.

"Where did you come from? And why are you sneaking through the bushed?"

" Well sir, Lieutenant Colonel Verandor sent us to get reinforcements. He needs them to assist in covering him and the information back to base."

TK, Fayt, and Linopas scanned the area around the discussion. They didn't want anyone sneaking up on them.

(OOC So, I guess it's time we started up again. I'm glad it didn't fizzle out!)

I do like the bomb idea, and I think I'll incorporate that into mine...
I do have a fleet of fighters and light transports and one heavy cruiser (almost like a light star destroyer). My plan was to use it if he brings in his own fleet. Unfortunatly, my character doesn't know where the crazy sith is, so I'll have to ambush him...

thanks guys!

Subject: PvP wars

Ok, so here is the story...
My group, with me as a player, not the GM, were playing a marginally evil, fringe based Star Wars game. At first, my character's plans seemed to be working out fine, then one of the other players becomes completely evil. After killing our only good NPC follower, my character tried to kill him once, but failed( the game then proceeded to split into two separate games). I realized that my character is actually better at planning things out then I am, so I would like to ask if any of you have a better idea then I have. So here is the situation:

My Character is a droid.
Advantages: Long range (sniper rifle), next to infinite money, some stealth, ability with tech, can pilot, and ability to make known droids and warships.

Weaknesses: Character is weak in close quarters, can not get support from local gov'ts, character is physically weak, and character is poor at communicating.

Enemy, a crazy Sith like dark jedi( I avoid calling him a sith as he is a lunatic)
Strength: Next to unstoppable at close range, army of loyal rabble, strong close quarters allies, extremely sneaking(can turn invisible and faze through walls), and he is ruthless.

Weaknesses: Inept with tech and can not pilot, no ranged ability, no common sense,

Ok, so here is what I am thinking: I will send a message as one of the Sith guy's sworn enemies, then fill the area with droids. In the room where the message states the guy will be, there will be small poisoned spikes on the ground, and some cheap mercenaries. So, if the Sith sneaks in, then he will be poisoned, and charged by an army of droids. If the Sith decides to blast it to rubble from space, my droid will commit his space forces to engage.

That is my plan, but I have already learned that my own plans are often below par. Can anyone think of a better plan? Any help would be appreciated.

Oh, yes I am the good guy. I didn't plan on it, but apparently my evil droid has a conscience.

Subject: Going on!

First of all, I'm happy to say that this game will go on! My current plan is to continue on with what's happening, then 'reassign' them. If anyone does want to rejoin the game, then they can do so with old or new characters. I will be introducing an NPC to give some firepower and cover up the groups weakness'. So far, I think a sniper or a heavy weapons guy. I'll let you guys choose...

So far current members are: Salvator Navaar, I-Binary, and Kamina.

Subject: Off we go!

Archan leaned back in has chair as he waited patiently, in his mind, for them to be dismissed. The mere thought of actually getting a high paying job was enough to please Archan.

"Librarian Tremain offers a collective five thousand pieces of gold to us, Crow." Lambert spoke up, his voice tinged with irritation. "One thousand apiece. That sum could provide food to a village and its livestock for nearly a year. For the orphanage, clothes or maintenance McKay be provided to the needy. My own share could restore a sizeable part of the temple my brothers and sisters seek to repair to service. Tell me, Crow, what cause is yours to make light of what this man offers?"

"Libraries contain books, not vast vaults of coins and baubles. The mental is valued more than the material in places like this. I would take the opportunity for research in here were I you," Lambert leaned back in his chair. "Exploring the wealth here might teach you a few lines of diplomacy, and that may provide you a far greater reward that whatever you plan on doing with Tremain's coffers, I assure you that. But in the event you find that insubstantial, then good Librarian," His gaze turned from his travelling companion to their contractor. "I retract my dedication of my own personal reward from the temple. Give it instead to Crow upon our return with the Compendium."

As Lambert said this, Archan slowly sat upright. He had never actually seen Lambert and Crow confront each other. This could be a singular incident, or it could become a trend. Archan sure hoped for the first; them not working together could be the parties doom. Barely able to stifle a laugh, Archan realized how ironic it was that he was the one thinking about teamwork. Once again, he remembered the days when he didn't have to worry about life and death daily.

“I make light of nothing priest and I have no cause but my own. You seek knowledge in a book,so be it, I gain knowledge by surviving to live yet another day. The Librarian has stated that parties sent before us have not returned, do you wish our fate to be the same? If my asking for something I can use to keep me alive and thus keep you alive, then I will do so and your hurt feelings be damned. However I will gladly take up your offer of your share of the advanced payment and the rest if we return.”

Archan listened to Crow's counter, and, as much as Archan wanted teamwork, he silently agreed. Neither himself or Crow had too much overly use of the library. But who would ask for more when they had barely any money to begin with. Archan hardly could believe that Lambert gave Crow his money... perhaps it was a sign of teamwork. Whatever, if the two of them did fight, Archan would do the mission himself. Somewhat arrogantly, Archan was completely sure everything would go fine.

When Tremain finished describing the mission, Archan glanced at Lambert as he walked away. Shrugging, Archan turned to the chest with the money and maps of Melenkur keep. Before Archan took his money, Alana and Crow took theirs. Briefly, Archan felt jealousy about Crow receiving extra money, but he lost attention when he got his 500 gold. It was the first time in many years that he had got that much money at once. "Thank you my lord," Archan stated, as he bowed somewhat stiffly towards Tremain.

Archan quickly headed out and briskly walked back to the inn he was staying at. After he had packed up everything he had, he went to sleep

It was early the next morning that Archan awoke. Once again he dreamt about the guard he killed. It had been fluke. The guard and his comrade had been in the wrong place at the wrong time, and Archan and his companion had to kill them. That fact hadn't made it any easier; the guards were part of Archan's father's forces. Knowing he wouldn't get anymore sleep, Archan relaxed until it was time to leave. When it was time, he mounted his steed and rode to the ferry.

As the boy filled his goblet, Archan once again gulped it down. He listened to the information about the keep. Unfortunately, there was no information about it's inhabitants... that just made the mission tougher. And a true Drannese never backed down from a challenge, no matter how dangerous!

Archan heard the reward. 500 gold for just doing the mission? And another 500 for bringing the book back? It would be the first time since he was a child that Archan would have that much money. He smiled a little bit. Finally, he would begin to regain his wealth. Then, he may even be able to get his way back to the heir for his father's village.

He heard Alana's agreement, and terms, Archan was positive that they were going to undertake this mission. He decided now was his time to respond. "My Lord, an extra mount would be preferred, but it is not necessary. Mine comes from the finest stock in all Drannon. It descended from Emperor Janus' horse." Archan paused for a moment, realizing that not everyone would care about his horse. " My lord, if my group is ready to go on this quest, than I shall. This Compendium will not stay in the hands of evil!" Banging his knuckles on the table, Archan enforced his point.

(Ooc, well Archan got to go about things the Drannon way. He certainly is proud of his horse. )

Archan himself would probably be a terrible leader (though he would loathe to admit it!). He's way too dominating, and he takes the Drannon drinking heavy thing way too seriously!

As Sellikus moved the blade to the Tapiens thigh, and Tk aimed his gun towards him, the Tapien trembled visibly. It hastily replied," Comlink call from boss man... must be abort, ah about tonight. Me no call him honest! No hurt me!" The Tapien pauses, cowering in the corner.

While Sellikus and Tk where occupied with the Tapien, Fayt, Cam and Linopas heard something moving in the nearby, in the direction of the Imperials. "Quite!" Cam ordered. He signaled for everyone to get down and stay silent. After a moment, Linopas spotted something. White armour... a stormtrooper.

"Sergeant," Linopas whispered," I saw some white armour. I think this may be an Imperial."

"...and so with the sword you shall become a knight. Got it?" Archan had been forced to endure yet another speech. At age 8, it was painfully boring to him; especially since he was here to train as a warrior. In his mind, the whole point of being here was to learn to fight! Not to learn something about being a honourful 'knight'.

"Yes sir," Archan groaned.

"Something tells me that you're not too interested in this." His trainer said.

"It's just, sir, that I want to learn how to fight! I don't want to learn all this other stuff!"

His trainer sighed the sigh of hearing the same argument before. He turned back to Archan. " Being a warrior is not all about crusading and fighting. A truly great warrior isn't just a common street thug with money. They are clever; skilled; and of course, they have heart." He looked at the cynical Archan. "But I see you don't seem interested. Fine. A bit of blade practice today, and then more knowledge. Got it?"

Archan sat up a bit straighter. Finally, he was going to actually start training. Eagerly, he stood up and ran towards the training swords. No need to go on about manners now! Once Archan had his sword, he sprinted out to the training yard. His trainer, tough a bit exasperated, came out closely behind him.

Current day...

Archan began his stroll through the town. Already, he felt the comfort of his blade tap his side. His hair was already dry, despite the early morning training. He sure hopped that something happened soon. He didn't want to lose his touch!

He felt the weight of his backpack, mostly his armour, pull at his shoulders. All of his armour was in there except his gauntlets and boots. His boots because it was very hard to fight without them... and his gauntlet? Well they enhanced his fighting prowess. No point being caught completely off guard!

As he had so many times throughout recent years, Archan glanced down at his worn tunic. He really wished he wore something in a flamboyant red, green, or yellow. A Drannese citizen always dressed bright! Though, Archan doubted that anyone near his home would do anything but hurl him in jail. Ever since the accident...

Archan shook his head. No he wouldn't think about that. It was bad enough that his group knew he wasn't allowed to go back to his home. Now, he couldn't brew on that. He needed to do other things, even if it was wait.

A few hours later, he discovered his waiting may be over. "Sir! Sir!" A voice called out to him. Archan rotated to see who it was. It was a young man. Stopping for a moment, the man caught his breath. "Sir I bring a message for you from lady Alana."

"Speak citizen." Archan commanded, forgetting his status, or lack of, for a moment.

"Lady Alana wishes to speak with you at the Broken sorrow in sir." The messanger said.

"I will go than," Archan said with a curt nod. The word dismissed began to form on his lips. A memory from a short time ago. "Thank you." Quickly, he rotated on his heel and began to march towards the inn.

Within a few minutes, he was there. He sat down at the table and waited patiently for anyone after him. When drinks were served, Archan, in true Drannese fashion, finished his in one fell swoop. Once everyone arrived, Alana told everyone about the job. After a few minutes of conversation, Archan announced," I think that we should go. A mission that pays would be plenty worth are time. He smiled as warmly as he could. Of course, that is if you decide to go." After everyone else agreed, he was confident that they would get a job.

Once they arrived at the Library. The bells rung six, and the doors opened. Archan was amazed that the library was so big... so big it may even rival many of the Drannese noble's keep! It was stocked with books, scrolls and parchments; Archan had never seen so many books together.

Soon, they entered Lord Tremain's personal study, or so Archan assumed. The first thing overly apparent to Archan was the stacks of books. He resisted the urge to go and tidy things up. He knew that only the Drannese would be so orderly.

He sat down, after he pulled out a chair. He waited as the goblets were filled with wine; he gave the server a nod, before he drank it. It was one of the best wines he had tasted... possibly the best.

After enjoying his wine, Slyvarian wine he said, for a few seconds, Lord Tremain began. Archan listened intently, glad that he was going to finally get a mission. He listened intently as Lord Tremain intently. Lord Tremain began to explain about the library, then about this Compendium tome. It was apparently in this place called the keep of Melenkur. Lord Tremain paused, waiting for a response.

"My lord," Archan began, "I don't know about my colleagues here, but I am interested. Any idea of exactly what lurks at the Keep of Melenkur?
