Well...
... I was thinking some stuff, but decided not to type it up here, because that's metagaming in my book
In this situation, Brian will probably be a bit apprehensive about returning to Osiris :s but will leave the negociations to the people who SHOULD.
I'm gonna wait for a post or two first, before bringing his reactions into play.
Does anyone else's character have the sort of habit of not getting into negociations? This is the moment that we would roleplay

I might strangle the client
Grace is going to most likely keep her mouth shut during the money debate since her twicthyness isn't going to help the deal. Well, After she gives the man a colourful explantion on why you don't call her "babe."
In my opinion, we go for #1 because we could get more from it. I don't think we need to go into the party to drop off the kegs.

so you know
Standard fees for running simple cargo for a job like this would be around 250/day creds or 2250. He is offering close to double but he is asking for special service (fast). Hauling wine is not illegal, but there are tariffs involved so you may want to ask if they will be taken care of.
It would not be unusual for players to stay out of the dealing if they have no forte in it. You can still post thoughts and impressions or even intentions (Going to check this guy out on the cortex, Will ask around to see what people know of this guy, starting with Tony, going to call my contact and check on that courier, etc etc)

What I get paid for
Darren,
I wasn't trying to be a meta-gamer. I just figured that after two years together I should probably be well enough acquainted with my fellow crew as to know what there imput would be from previous jobs. By the way, would Brian have told Jason about his aversion to Osiris. I figure after the poker/medic lessons (I'm working on that bit of back story btw) Jason would've probably told Brian about not getting off the ship if/when it lands on Persephone.
Guys,
Sit back relax and enjoy the ride...and for the love of Pete let me do my job....please......thank you. I'm working on my post currently and will try to have it done and up this evening as I have Class most of the day.
Merci beaucoup,
Phelan

ummm
I thought Darren was being funny with the metagame comment - hence the happy face.
I encourage the exchange of ideas and thoughts on the QnA as you may think of an action that the character would think of, but not the player. So feel free. I don't believe in the "you can't tell him that because it isn't your character". I am not a 20th level elflord mage so I might miss something that another player spots.
Metagaming really only happens when a player acts on knowledge that the character does not have and right now, there is none. You are all at the table.

This is for my post
Just how sensitive would a mike be in a multiband? (a wrist watch that has a clock, compass, alarms, radio, remote control and can make voice memos.) I'm curious if Grace can make a voice memo of the deal.
However to do that I need to know how strong the mike is. It is to know how close Grace has to be to get a clear recording. So would she be able to recorded from her seat or would she need to place it closer.

very basic
The voice recorder mike would be similar to a cheap cellphone. So not very functional for recording conversation - anything beyond five feet would sound like the adults in a peanuts cartoon (wa wa wa wa wa wa).

Yeah...
Sorry, all, it hadn't occurred to me that the characters DID know each other quite well, and could probably perform that kinda telepathic communication that can only be done by people who know each other that well.
I'm gonna work on a post in a bit. When I can.

Just reread my post... what a load of rubbish.
I've lengthened and rewritten it. It was really REALLY terribly written, sorry all.

Not the best post ever, but Phelan's got the talking down already, so Jon'll just be closing it out and getting it started.
Plus I haven't been shot yet, so I can still get Tess to fly our ship into the sun.
