So, when does this adventure get rolling? I am ready to get into Tess's character; I think I can pull this off successfully. Can't wait!

Yeah with Rogers help we took the character I had submitted the first time for Destiny's flight and modified him to fit.

I think he will do just fine as the PR man

I need to do some changes to Vanadia's and Grace's characters and then we can start whenever we want to get started.

A bit of closure of the last adventure would be good. I could not find your PM and so I need a bit of info on how we got away, how we got Destiny back, how we got back to Eavesdown Docks for repair, what happened to the cargo and what issues it caused loosing the cargo, if it was lost and not just delivered late.

I will definitely sum up what has gone on and all events to are significant to your Destiny.

What I have suggested with Destiny is this. The Bounty Hunter entered the ship via the Shuttle and Jason was killed by him quickly. Ken attempted to take him out but was killed as well. The Killer was looking for that Companion's med card and didn't care how he got it. Jon attempted to engage him but Tess and Stephanie pulled you away as it was suicide (maybe Steph had to drug Jon).

Grace got the med Card and lead the BH on a merry chase through the ship. Never realizing that she was drawing him into a trap, Grace waited for Tess, Stephanie and Jon to escape in the shuttle then lead the assassin to the engine room where she rigged the engine to explode.

Watching from the shuttle, the three of you thought that Grace died in the fiery explosion. Actually she triggered the explosion remotely as she put on a suit and stole the Bounty Hunter's ship.

Grace would not leave Destiny behind so she was attempting to tow it with the small interceptor ship when the Feds you met on Greenleaf found her. Grace made a deal with them to give them the wine/diamond so they could close their case and she got immunity and a tow to Beylix.

As soon as she got there, she took "her" share of diamonds (Not like Sanders counted them), sold them and got to fixing the engines. Very difficult as many parts have to be retooled. She also wants to lie low for awhile because as long as Higgin's thinks the ship was destroyed, he won't come looking. Grace plans on repairing the ship then contacting the Companion's guild with the med-card to make a deal to get Higgin's off your tail.

Jon, Stephanie and Tess spend several days in the shuttle before you were found and brought home. Jon and Stephanie have discovered each others love and are exploring that now as they wait to hear from Grace. It will probably take a couple of years before Jon feels the need to fly and Destiny is spaceworthy again, but the time will come.

Was in Roc's Q&A! Whew.....

Never thought of looking there. I will expand on this a bit but great to have

Can't wait to see how this works out.

A couple years thou? Has it been that long since they were on the ship? I know Tess has found work on the Roc, but assume once she learns that the Destiny is 'alive' and the crew is reassembling that she will return. I also therefore assume that Tess will survive the mess on the Roc right now. That is good news!

I am getting psyched up about starting this one. Can't wait to slip into Tess's skin, as it were.

It will not be a couple if years but a little less than one year. I wrote that thinking that we wouldn't play again for awhile. Let me play with this.

A Private Villa on one of Core Planets...
Stephanie must have had secret funds or there were still plenty of folks that owed her their life and were only too glad to help out when she called. Not long after they had been picked up adrift in space they were relaxing in a private Villa. The staff all seemed to know her or was at least instructed to treat her as the Lady of House. They always addressed her first with a respectful “Doctor Stephanie”, Jon would get a polite smile and a “Sir”. The time seemed pass too slowly; Jon kept replaying the events of final days of Destiny and a darkness would fill him.

Stephanie would do her best to ease his pain and their relationship grew deeper. After a couple weeks she slipped into his room. Without saying a word she dimmed the lights and slid out her silk kimono. With the skill of a surgeon she nestled up against Jon, her soft skin pressing warmly on his firm muscular torso. Reaching up she slow pulled his face to her and kissed him warm long and wetly. Their breathing started into a peaceful rhythm as hands and lips moved to explore the others body. They both could feel their bond strengthen and enjoyed the intimacy that could make the memories of the past blur at least for a while. The evening would repeat itself over the next few months, but neither would say the “words”.

One evening a private courier brought a communiqué. The courier stood in the Foyer, the Major Domo had sent for Jon, “There is a messenger here and insists on delivering his communiqué in person.”

Jon approached the uniformed messenger, “I’m Jon Brown, how can I help you?” The man took out a receipt pad, “Sir, may I see some form of identification please?” Puzzled, Jon reached into his pocket and found the pilots license he still carried. The courier swiped to card through his reader and when it chimed and showed a green light he passed the card back to Jon. From his attaché he took an envelope and handed it Jon, pausing brief with his hand out as Jon took the envelope. Jon stared at the return name on the paper; he could feel himself go pale. The Courier cleared his throat and Jon look up. ‘Oh.. yes…sorry” , he stammered as he smiled and then absently handed the man a ten credit note. “Thank you, Sir” breathed the courier and he hurried away.

It was addressed to Captain Jonathan Brown, Commander of the Destiny.

The return was “Grace Lin, Senior Engineer, Private Freighter Destiny.”

Tearing open the envelope he found a formal printer invitation.

You are cordially Invited to the Beylix Space Recycling Port for the “Second” christening of the Whitefire Class Space Freighter “Destiny”.

Clutching the invitation Jon ran out into gardens where Stephanie was tending her roses.

“Steph….. Pack quick…Grace saved Destiny…we gotta go to Beylix Recycling port."
Stephanie looked up from her flowers, she could see the life return to Jon’s eyes and she realized that she had want to put that glow there. A graceful smile crossed her face and she knew she couldn’t let him out of her life. Destiny was a love she would never replace. Better to have part of him than none of him.

Stephanie pulled a few more strings and in few days they were standing in the Beylix Space Recycling Port, the elegant lines of the exotic looking boat glistened the light.

Grace stood at the top of the gangway as Jon step forward, ”Permission to come aboard?”

YEs, I can work that in to what I have in mind. Couriers play a couple of roles in this narrative.

I put it in Q&A so it could either be used or discarded.

The creative juices were stimulated after I found the back story of the EMP incidents and Grace's rescue of Destiny.

I left out Tess and the others on purpose, I felt that could be more back story as we covered the rebirth.

I figured Grace fixed the ship but she needed her crew back to test fly and work out the kinks.

We can tie in the new characters as part of that.
