I don't want to interrupt the flow of the story, so I thought I should throw this on the Q&A.

Could we recap what exactly happened? I get that the new character can use some illusion, but don't really know how I should react to him. It sounds like he should be a sort of mischievous gentleman... but is he?

I am almost thinking that Frodrick will say "WHO THE %^#$ ARE YOU!?" Just cause he is a cranky old guy who doesn't like strangers who can cast spells (think of him as an ignorant man who accepts that casters are needed, but doesn't want to interact with new ones all that much).

I am reserving the reaction of Frodo until I know a bit more on what Frodo is seeing.

In my opinion reply as you see fit it would be interesting to actually have to solve a problem or have some evolution in the group dynamic we don't all have to outwardly like each other and giving Giles past earning trust is something he's a custom to as well as hostility to his person I can assure u without giving to much away that his resolutions when dealing with the group be handled with the most nightly of gentlemanlyness

In terms of what he's seeing Giles intentions are to impress the group to show he's not some spring chicken he's in his early thirties and has obvious signs of having seen combat but aside from being able to cast his outward appearance is of a solider not a mage

In case anyone was wondering about the sudden wealth flux in the stats sections, Miguel went on a spending spree. He bought himself a shortbow and a shiny new sword, but also

-Large Tent (fits 4)

as a heads up for new resources now available to the party.

I gotta find some way to better catalogue the resources that individual characters own that are not weapons or armour. Or at least not necessarily weapons or armour.

I do keep my minor items written down on my character sheet. I just have a bad habit of not writing my gold down XD

In the dust hole of the Tuskgutter's little den, by the way, you find a disused, dirt covered steel heavy shield. It has a small layer of dirt caked-on, but upon inspection you realize it is actually quite well made, and with a little cleaning up would serve as a very useful mwk Steel Heavy Shield.

There is also a pair of dirty copper bracelets, and dirt-covered gold and silver coins adding up to 59.8G

Additionally, a small vial of liquid was found in a decayed leather belt pouch.

Vekkel Benzen, the old retired hunter who lost his leg to the Tuskgutter a year ago has left with Oleg the bounty of his old mwk Longbow and 6 magic arrows. These arrows, it is said, are enchanted with the property of bane to animals.

Benzen is also coming to get the head, out of which to make a head cheese which the party is invited to share.
